  1. Interested in shocks/springs if you're in NSW.
  2. The DYNO is a 2WD dyno only unfortunately for the 4WD guys. You may think me stupid for saying this, but I thought electronically the GTR could be converted to RWD?
  3. As I said, make an offer, and I'll consider it. I had a look, and for the same one, it was $150 elsewhere. It's an Open to Offers. If you want to buy it, make an offer.
  4. It's worth coming if you'd like to meet some others with Skylines, have a chat with other car enthusiasts, and just to have abit of fun and see what the line can punch out. I'm throwing mine on, and it's only running exhaust, filter, and boosted with lightweight flywheel... It's all a bit of fun, and gives you a "~base" to start from for modding.
  5. DON'T DO IT. Mine sits down quite low (318mm) and I keep smashing tyres into guards, going in driveways the bar hits the ground, speed humps are a bitch, roundabouts = massive scrub. Overall it's terrible. I've found the meaning of bump steer. To the point I can't go through a certain corner any where near as a quick as a stock standard V6 Commodore exec (I used to own one) as the bump steer would throw me around. Leave the height up, and bugger the looks. But that's IMO from my experiences of a low car.
  6. Bump, Bump bump it up!

    Defects!

I got done for "no cover on intercooler" Pod filter, exhaust too loud (He was a bit iffy, he was listening to it, and was like yeah, then he looked and he's like "nah, too big, it'll be too loud" But he's like "You passed the attitude test, just get it all legal and you'll be sweet, heres the defect notice, but no fines or anything" I just answered everything honestly. And I think the only reason he asked me to open the bonnet was because I was missing two wheel nuts. He wasn't interested in anything other then a random breath test until the other officer noticed them missing... Ah well, that's all fixed now, just to get exhaust and what not done...
  8. The SS is ugly as fark. Sits way too high in the ass end. Acceleration, for such a large car, the SS is quite quick, but according to someone who drives one daily for work (As a highway patrol car) the bastard won't stop. The brakes are utter shit house. Also, they still don't quite keep up with a relatively stock R33 GTS-t... Oh, and neither do the old SS... Edit: So you know, currently my house has 2 commodores at it, it used to have 3, but I sold mine. I didn't like it one bit. Slow, rolled around, needed to really get up it to make it move. My dad has a Sports V6, it grips up alot better then my one did, but it's even slower in a straight line, weighing in at nearly 200KG more then what mine did, with SFA extra power. And so you know, I'm thinking of going back to a commo as a daily, but I know sure well, that they're a slow ass car in a straight line, body roll around corners, and build quality is pretty shit. I've grown up with them in my family, and used to "love" them, until I drove an R33... I've never looked back!
  9. So you all know, I am negotiable on the price.
  10. I'd be in, but I found this cruise too late, and my car has no fuel... And I have like SFA money until Tuesday... Would have been good to get out there
  11. I want email notify on... That is all... LOL (Forgot to tick it on the first post)
  12. Will the springs suit an R33 GTS-t?
  13. As J (Fat33) said, 3 power runs. With printouts. AFR taken, and IIRC you can also get one with boost on it instead of AFR. If there's a low turnout, Jason may let us do more then 3 runs each. All depends on time, and the operator of the dyno also wants to go cruising afterwards.
  14. Alright. So I don't use my car all that often, and when I do, it's on weekends, and I'm content to sit in it for a few seconds cooling it down etc after I've gone for a cruise. So, I've pulled out my Greddy Turbo Timer. It has 2 permanent presets. Able to be set at what ever you like, upto 5 minutes IIRC. It also has 2 auto timers. One has a slow count up, for normal road use, the second is a "quick" count up, for spirited driving etc. The unit works perfect, and I can prove this to people if they want to have a look before they buy. All I have done is unplug the unit, and I can plug it back in very quickly, and easily to prove it is working. Asking: $100
  15. My choice of ECU... Adaptronic. Will be running mine very soon, and taken to Jason's for tuning. It's Map sensor based, and at a RRP of $1000, very affordable. Boost control, etc. Runs basically everything. Will see what mine makes once all tuned up, then be throwing on injectors, turbo, and fuel pump... Stock engine, easily make 300RWKW reliably. But remember, reliability is all in how you drive it also, Jason drove the doors off of his for 10 months straight. and then it went. The only other type of car that would be driven that hard, would be something like a proper race car, IMO anyway.
  16. Meant to reduce oversteer... I get moving, HICAS kicks in above the 80km/h... I hit a corner. Turn in beautiful, then HICAS goes "We're turning" and turns the rear wheels. Next thing I'm flying at the apex, (Way too tight) so I go to loosen off, HICAS decides we're straightening up and does the same, next thing, I'm going for the outside gutter! It does that CONTINOUSLY through out the corner!
  17. I'd be expecting a rag in the intake pipes, especially if you bought the "new" RB20 from a wrecker/engine builder and not just out of another car.
  18. When the gaskets leak, they make a high pitch noise, normally when they'er being revved under load (Accelerating up the street) It's normally a small hole, that if on an N/A car, wouldn't make an issue, as it's easier for the gasses to flow out the exhaust pipe normally, but on a turbo car, a small pressure build up occurs between motor and turbo, hence, it forces it's way out the whole. Could also be the boost controller is broken. Have you returned the boost controller set up back to stock to try that?
  19. What is the stereo that is in the pics? I might be interested in it depending on what it is and what it does. Also, the plastic surround that goes over dash (Goes around the stereo etc and wraps over to the guages etc) How much for these? (Seperate prices please)
  20. Hey all Just a bit of a mention, there is a dyno day going to be run at Wollongong Motorsport Centre Details are: WOLLONGONG MOTORSPORT CENTRE units 2/3 195 five islands rd Cringila NSW 2502 Cost $50 for all members 4th Of February 9AM start to gather. If you can PM me back if you're going to attend, then that would be great. Thanks Matt Edit: Follow the redline. As you come around the bend coming close to the two sets of lights (Near the blue X) you NEED to be in the right hand lane, you will then have to turn right at the second set of lights, and drive in through the service station driveway (A pretty easy to get into driveway for a low car) Please don't come screaming through the complex, as there will most likely be a fair few people and cars around. Once into the service station, just keep driving across the concrete, and you'll find us at the end. Just follow the red line.
  21. I'd be in if it's at Picton... I know how hard I can push opening lap on that track... I can still do a beautiful lap in my mind and follow it on the track...
  22. Oran Park has already been sold from what I've heard. It's in the contract to leave them there for another 2 years I think it is, and he's basically being forced out by the government, due to complaints.
  23. Rear wheel alignment is most likely out. Mine did the exact same thing, took it in, got it aligned, it HAD been running 7mm toe in!
  24. That's not too bad of a price really... I had to pay $25 for a bearing once (Small one too!) because the company that used them in there RC cars, decided they had to be said size, and that no one made them, so they were specific to that car!
