  1. 1) I'm not touching a PFC. 2) The cars been like this for ages. 3) Theres a difference between permanent base maps, and self learn trim maps. Secondly, new aftermarket ECU is being ordered in around a week and a half fingers crossed! Sorry if I'm sounding rude, but all of this has been gone over, and zero money has been sent on chasing things. I'm just trying to find out what has physically been changed inside the ECU. And yes it does have the sensors to remove timing to avoid pinging, but the problem is, it can obviously make the power, it's been tuned to make more power and torque, but the thing I want to know is, WHAT has been changed? :S I'm not after changing it back really, I just want to know what the people have changed, as mid rang and low range has a shit load of torque. But yes, new ECU coming soon.
  2. Soundsa interesting... But a thursday! Gah... Damn work... And sydney hrm... DIF! Crashing at yours if I'm membered by then... No ifs or butts...
  3. It's sitting too lean for stock map, and actually VIEWING the maps and comparing them side by side with stock maps, they are vastly different. Way too much ign timing I have been told. That's on good 98RON fuel too, and each time the graph dips, it is pinging.

  5. Alrighty, so I threw my car on the dyno at the start of this month, and it rattled off a nice and imppresive 248RWHP (185.3RWKW) on 10/11PSi, with a 3" full exhaust, FMIC, pod filter with custom air box and a 35degree day Now, most would be happy with this type of power, BUT, there's a hole in my fun, as follows: As you can see, there's a bit of a torque hole! Now, I took it to my trusting mechanic at Wollongong Motorsport Centre (Same place it got dyno'd) and we decided to have a look around at things, first up, the CAS ISN'T a standard R33 GTS25T CAS. Weird. Secondly the ECU map for ignition and fuel, is different from stock. (We hooked up Consult) So now, I've gotten the shits, I want that extra power, I don't want a pinging motor, so I'm ordering in a new aftermarket ECU to install later, but, curiosity is killing me, and I want to know what part has been changed in my ECU. So, I'll throw some more pics up of inside the ECU Please note, no matter which way the CAS was moved, the power got worse.
  6. So a run down on last night? I'll be joining this week financially and want to know what actually goes on at these dinners.. By the sounds of it, most people cab it to the meetup, have dinner, get drunk, suddenly appear the next morning at home?
  7. 0KM/H... Haven't hit the track yet... But in a months time I might get to around 60-80km/h on the track (Skid pan WOOT!) And I'm thinking of doing drag day the day after, so hopefully then aronud 170-180km/h...
  8. Most of the time, it's actually an impounded car. It's been known to happen before with an RX3, confiscated at the drags, then the next weekend the same two coppers were driving it trying to race people.
  9. Just go run it now. $80 at most places for 3 dyno runs. Do the first run with that computer in, then swap to a standard ECU Then swap back. Post all 3 results.
  10. Put your own car on the dyno, seriously. Mines been fiddled with, (proven) feels uber fast, heaps quick spool up etc, BUT way too much timing out top, and it actually pings on 98Oct fuel. Seriously, run your own car, not the japanese graph, because, I'm pretty sure you'll ping!
  11. Oh, and I think I'll come down the night before... Need to join in the festivities of Skylineanity...
  12. In and paid! w00t! First outing for my car! Will be good to meet even more SAU members (Only know a couple) and I know all but one from before I joined SAU...
  13. R33 GTS-t all the way for me. Mainly why: Easier to get to hook up on the track in corners, and on a rolling run, capable of going past a GTR with equal power. If it was for dragging, then a GTR, but I'm a corners person, and I just find that the GTR doesn't handle how I want in the bends. Edit: Please note, I've only ran passenger in a GTR, but I love my GTS-t to bits (And yes, I've said before I wouldn't swap it for a GTR!)
  14. F'uck it... I'm in!
  15. How much would you want for the VR?
  16. How much to sell VR sep?
  17. When the air temp goes up, wind the boost down!
  18. What boost controller are you running?
  19. When you put the dose pipe in, you also have to disconnect the throttle cable.
  20. And has it been built up in the AFM... Remember, the air is being sucked from air filter, to afm, to breather pipe, to turbo... It's not going backwards. And the AFM sits higher then where the breather pipes join, so it can't "run" there when cold.
  21. How the hell are you getting blow by, if there is no point for the engine to dump oil into before the air flow meter? It goes, POD filter, AFM, normally then recirc line pretty close in (From BOV), then turbo... I don't understand how you claim blow by as the cause? When you cleaned the air valve, did it have a HEAP of crap built up in it? (Black carbon) and when you finished did it all look nice and new?
  22. These cheap coolers may be able to make "X" amount of power, but how many of those people, have taken there cheapo cooler off, wacked on a branded, more expensive, better built unit, to find that the inlet charge is now, even cooler, and even more power is able to be made? A cheap cooler will do you for low power, but I wouldn't want to push one in high power.
  23. So you didn't fix the rattle, you just blocked the noise getting to you?
