    Pits!

Exactly where he's looking. There's a little bit of the block that sticks out, on the passenger side, up against where the gearbox bellhousing bolts onto the block. He might need to use his little bendy mirror and get at it from the underside..
  2. Just got forgotten in the Xmas confusion It was paid 40mins after they pulled me over. They pulled me over because they saw the wrong colour sticker! If they were traffic cops they probably would have pulled me over because I was driving a Skyline and then given me a yellow sticker
  3. I've had a 12k and 20k unsecured loan with St George, that was a while ago before this whole global financial unstability thing though.. banks are probably a bit more cautious nowadays.
  4. A mate of mine has a 2JZGTE JZA80, with slicks and NOTHING ELSE DONE TO IT, it ran a 12.7 obviously with lots of practice We did have a sneaking suspicion that it came from Japan with highflowed turbos made 310rwhp off the boat!
  5. There is the potential to get reamed for something you didn't do just because you fit a certain demographic. THAT is what people are up in arms about.
  6. The "race" cat? or just the "hiflow"? I had bad experiences with my Xforce "hiflow" +1 for checking your base timing.
  7. So are teh 32's going to reprezentz this weekend?
  8. More response than stock but with more power? lolwut!
  9. Simon aka R32-GTS is who DCIEVE is talking about (I think ). Too much headwork to compare to any old 26 with a T04Z
  10. It cost me $700 to get a custom 2-piece tailshaft with servicable heavy duty uni's made, $650 wouldn't be excessive it's being made stronger..
  11. If that graph is of Simons' GTR then that's not really a typical example of a T04Z on a typical RB26.. it's all horses for courses though!
  12. IIRC, the difference between an R33 and R32 R200 centre, is the R33 has larger diameter bolts... maybe you had a 33 diff in there to start with.. But yes, when you buy the Nismo 2-way kit new it comes with lots of stuff like new crown wheel bolts, new gasket, flanges, oil etc.
  13. Is it an RB30ET gearbox, or just an RB30E box? the RB30E boxes are pretty much the same as an RB20 box.. I wouldn't even bother trying to make anything work.. just blow it up and put a 25 box in there
  14. Must be all that RB30 TORQUE http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2009/01/07/2460563.htm
  15. Don't quote me, but you should just be able to plug the 33R sender into the 32R box..
  16. Yeah my bad slacked off this morning and went to the hotel next door for breakfast, so now I'm frantically trying to catch up on my whoring!
  17. If you have any questions or want a chat about 32s, just shoot me a PM! Myspace & Facebook are teh ghey. I *might* add you to MSN if you're nice but I'm not publicly posting my msn address
  18. Hmm, odd. I would have thought there'd be more difference in the SOHC to DOHC but it must start spreading higher than where the bracket bolts. I have always gapped at 0.8 and my mechanic always tells me to gap at 0.8, so I do and will continue to do so until he tells me otherwise P.S. I never had a 25.. I have OEM RB20 coils and a brand new coil harness.
  19. What happened?
  20. I forgot to pay my rego and copped a summons on NYE They weren't traffic cops though so it was all pretty casual. Young pommy copper had me pop the bonnet, went over my permits, had my start the car and rev it a bit to make sure the bov wasn't too loud.. We then proceded to have a chat while we waited for the older cop to get out of his car. We discussed such things as, his dislike for aboriginals, working on the holidays, the spec's of his gun. Was quite amusing.. until I got the summons in the mail yesterday
  21. Not really any difference cost wise between building a 25 or a 30, IMO it's a no brainer I used my RB20 mounts, had to lose the stock bov and carefully arrange the piping to get the bonnet to shut. Oh and 10mm spacers in the hinges.. rubs slightly on stock plenum and slightly on timing belt cover. Have a custom forward facing plenum going on soon so it will only rub slightly on the timing belt cover.. which should go away eventually Hopefully I'll be able to put my strut brace back on too heh
  22. yay! I left all the red dirt on after driving down gravel tracks to visit family over the holidays.
  23. My initial conversion cost me 2k ($1500 for a block/head/forged pistons that had already been running together) then miscellaneous stuff like crank, headgasket etc etc. It was what I had to spend AFTER the conversion that I wasn't planning on.. afm was maxed so had to buy a z32/plug which also meant getting it tuned, so while I was getting it tuned I figured might aswell throw some injectors in there so straight up, it cost another 2.5k just to be driving it safely. You could certianly do it cheap cheap but how long it would last is anyones guess!
  24. I have heard their name mentioned before, apparently good work but $_$ which is no issue if your insurer is paying I think they do a lot of high end exotics..
  25. Which is why I'm advocating that you take the first steps, I feel you are articulate enough to represent us well
