That line to the back of the gearbox is just a breather. Could be many thing causing the HICAS to die (low ps fluid, bung sensors etc), removing it was one of the best things I ever did.. $80 for a lockbar and about an hour of work.

Guys guys guys. NOT ALL RB STOCK TURBOS ARE THE SAME. RB25 seriesII and RB25Neos can't handle as much boost as the RB20 and RB25 seriesI turbos. I really wouldn't be pushing a nylon compressor wheeled turbo past 10-12psi.

Some quick tips: 1. get a high pressure washer and blast your car rather thoroughly before going to the pits 2. shouldn't get done for stupid things like brake lights etc, check all fuses and globes before going Basically they are going to check EVERY stupid little thing (lights, washers, windows go up/down etc etc) before they move on to the big stuff. What pits did you go to?

Hearsay and conjecture. Depends on which stock turbo.. 25s2 and neo turbos have the nylon compressor wheel which likes to delaminate when leaned on too much. rb20 turbos, mine took a beating on 14psi for about 6 months before I sold it 25s1 turbos (with steel compressor wheel), mine was on the RB20 @ 12psi for a year and has been on the RB30 @ 12psi for a year aswell. On the 30 it's choking up something chronic (which means it creates excessive heat too) and it still hasn't shat its' exhaust wheel..

Meh. Seen some of those cuts before. It's more about paying attention and concentrating than speeding. Had absolutely nothing to do with speeding and/or performance cars until someone tacked on part of that aussie pinkie ad. That being said, it is graphic enough to be effective towards novice and stupid drivers. Like anything though, sometimes you're just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

E10 is 10% ethanol or something, they have it over east. I think they also have like an E85 or something, there's a big thread in the FI forum.
