If you think that is the case have you checked ecu plugs? also maybe check AFM plug? something could be moving around a little when you jump on the gas.. does it do it at any particular point you have noticed? (i.e. 4250rpm with 10psi and half throttle? etc etc) If you can narrow down when it is actually occuring and in with what conditions it might help these keyboard cowboys with their diagnosii

+3 to turbo gasket leak.. after putting my big front pipe on and having to perform some percussive maintenance on the dump pipe bolts.. take car for drive at over 5000rpm it sounded like there was a banshee under my bonnet. Tightened all turbo>manifold bolts and the banshee died

I have split dump, 3" front pipe, 3" super "hiflo" cat "pipe" into a 2 3/4" cat back with only the canon at the back.. nice idle noise, bit droney at 2000rpm in 5th but over 4000rpm damn does she sing

I have heard mentioned before that prolonged idling can glaze the bores.. an engine builder or mechanic care to comment?

I've got 4 on my burnout rims, not sure if I want to part with them though.. helps keep the "I wasn't out doing burnouts officer" look.

Just go the RB25 turbo, the extra lag is negligible and it's much more fun to drive

My Rb20 turbo used to start spooling a little over 2000rpm with full boost by probably 3000rpm, now it starts spooling around 3000rpm with full boost by about 4000rpm. My standard injectors and fuel pump are going fine, got an 044 to go in probably this weekend though. Then save for an ecu

Well my mates apprentice recently bought an R32 4dr in Perth for $6k for a busted head and the top end in pieces.. ended up costing $150 to fix the head and now it goes sweet. Came with coilovers, cat back, GTR front bar and a nice paint job.

I put an RB25 turbo on my RB20 about 2 weeks ago. Haven't got an ecu/tune yet so only running 12psi but it goes MUCH harder than the RB20 turbo.. just takes an extra 800-1000rpm to come on boost Oh and it will also hold the boost till redline, had it at 14psi but it was pinging over 6000rpm so dropped it back to 12psi (to give me a bit of leeway on cold nights) until I get a tune.

Umm you won't be able to put ddr2 ram on your socket 939 motherboard. I'm running a A64x2 4200+ s939 on an Asus SLi board with 2gb DDR-400 (2-3-2-5) ram and a pair of 7600GT's. Goes hard. I would suggest getting a dx10 graphics card, something along the lines of an 8800GTS.

Muchly so, public perception is somewhat disappointing. I recently played in a round of the largest national tournament series in Australia and while I had an awesome time, there were maybe 20 spectators over the whole weekend We did however come 3rd out the 10 teams in the Am division.. not bad for our first tournament Seriously though, drifting is a fledgling sport much like paintball is. It is going to be a long, hard road to achieve the same sort of recognition that some of the more established sports possess. Being that our sports are of an *alternative* or *extreme* nature certainly doesn't help public opinion.

1. What awesome nismo gauges? are you talking 300km/h speedo or something? 2. GTR gearbox has a transfer case for the 4wd. An upgrade for you RB20 box is an RB25 box out of an R33. 3. I doubt a 26 head will fit and why would you want to? 300rwhp out of an RB20 would need more fuel, bigger turbo, bigger injectors, management etc. Would be easier to start with an RB25.. Just to give you a bit of an example.. my car has a front mount cooler, split dump pipe, 3" exhaust and an RB25 turbo running 12.5psi. As far as engine work, this is all I'm doing to the RB20. I am saving up for a 25 engine/box/halfcut as the money on new turbo etc would be better spent with better gains on the RB25.

This sounds a lot like what competitive paintball is going through at the moment.

From what I heard Lumpy is no longer at Hyperdrive.. I would prefer to remap my stock ecu for now but we'll see how that goes
