  1. Nistune boards arrived today (thanks Matt ) My wagon is getting tuned on Friday but first I have to reconnect the 50 odd wires that were cut when the Haltech was installed
  2. Valid point but some people just prefer R32's (me for instance) and at the end of the day, I'd prefer everything I've done in the R32 gtst chassis over the R33 chassis. If you're buying and modifying a Skyline with resale in mind, you're kidding yourself.
  3. RB20DET and RB25DET have the same mounting dimensions but one mounts vertically to the side of the crossover pipe and the other has an extension coming off the crossover pipe and mounts flat.
  4. Certainly was, I have one!
  5. Investigated the Hatech install yesterday and discovered I'm going to have to reconnect about 50 wires before she goes in for the tune on Friday
  6. The old adage "There's no replacement for displacement" is mostly true.
  7. It's definitely a series 2 RS4 with a Neo engine? if yes, then Nistune is the way to go.
  8. *cough* NIStune *cough*
  9. bah at quoting before I edited I'd love to run straight E85 but until it's readily available over here (read: not having to buy it in 200L drums) I cbf.
  10. wut? my car was driving with the 3L for nearly two years, the reason it is off the road now has nothing to do with the fact it has a 3L. If you really must know, the whole RB30DET conversion was done in a weekend. Drove it in Friday arvo, drove it home in the wee hours of Monday morning. It's not fkn rocket doctory. My point was, there's not a whole lot you can do to get more low down out of the RB20.
  11. muahahahahaha
  12. 3.9:1 diff gears took my 5th gear @ 100kph down to about 2500rpm but that's with the RB30 (and a 25t gearbox, I think the ratios are a bit different) .. I agree that an RB20 at 2500rpm in 5th would be pretty gay.
  13. He has an RB25 in there so an ecu remap is not that simple or cheap..
  14. Did you sabotage any karts this time? (sounds like you did something to Toms')
  15. Did you make anyone hit you this time?
  16. Damn Volvo drivers!
  17. Why would a dead/dying AFM cause the engine to stall?
  18. The wiring they're talking about is the solder joints inside of the plug (afm side) where they go to the little PCB, these get old and dry and are notorious for cracking. Running a valley cover or not is up to you, I prefer not to so it keeps the coils cooler. The igniter is earthed through the loom (look at the ECU side of the igniter, that plug should have an earth lead that pops out of the harness and earths to the rear coil cradle bolt), I bolted my igniter back to one of the valley cover bolts, works fine. AFM dying shouldn't cause it to stall.. I thought it would just try to go into a limp mode when it cuts out.. the ECU will make a "best guess" to keep the engine running so you can limp it to a workshop..
  19. As others have said if you're going to highflow, better off starting with something bigger (Neo has bigger exhaust housing than normal 25). But if you only want ~180rwkw my RB20 made 183rwkw untuned through an RB25 turbo.
  20. Pretty sure you need GTR hubs and shafts if using GTR centre.
  21. Who is doing the machining? I'm not holding my breath for the 32 to be ready for Powercruise so making sure the wagoon is skid worthy
  22. Last time I was on a cruise with a Chaser he over took me on the wrong side of the road round a sharp, blind right hand bend
