  1. +11ty RB25 turbo is borderline, I ran one for a couple of years on my 30.. spooled from idle and made 12psi by 2200rpm but choked up at 5800rpm.. I reckon an RB20 turbo would make 12psi at idle lol
  2. I've found that as soon as you walk in, kicking something over is a good way to start getting your point across.
  3. I put forward the motion of a club crusie with BBQ to happen soon.. all in flavour?
  4. You expect to come straight out of school and find your dream job? lay off the crack pipe kid. We've all worked shit jobs that you can't wait to get away from at the end of each day. The general rule of thumb with jobs is, if it's fun and you enjoy it, it usually pays crap. I spent a few years as a Mechanical Designer for an Automotive R&D company, that was AWESOME work, really fun and got me out from behind my desk and in to the workshop a lot of the time. Unfortunately, they just couldn't afford to pay the sort of rates that the Mining & Resources industry does. So now I'm doing boring work and dealing with the sort of engineers that I don't really like, but it pays rather well.
  5. I've got a C's short shifter in my 32 and I love it. RB20, RB25 and GTR are all different although you can fit a 25 shifter to a 20 box but pretty certain GTR won't fit the others.
  6. I'm not getting upset John, I'm just fed up with trying to help. You may have listened but you didn't take anything I said on board. I'm done, seriously can't be bothered wasting my time with this anymore. P.S. Tim.. are you trying to get in my pants?
  7. It's not that expensive, especially if you're not chasing 4gazillion killerwasps.
  8. OK lets clear up a few fallacies here.. The stock dump pipe and front pipe are shit. Changing them to better items is the FIRST thing you do, even before contemplating putting a bigger turbo on. They make a huge difference on a stock turbo, why you would ever considering running stock dump/front with a BIGGER turbo is beyond me. Bigger turbos NEED to be tuned for them or they just feel shit and is absolutely pointless. Full boost is a subjective term. Full boost for one person is different for full boost for another person. When you put a bigger turbo on, you HAVE to tune it, in particular you need to clean up the low load/rpm areas as they are no longer seeing the same airflow as with the stock turbo. Cleaning up this area helps get the engine on boost faster, leaner ratios mean hotter exhaust gas means more exhaust gas flow equals faster spooling turbine. It's not rocket doctory. Some adjustable cam gears wouldn't have gone astray either. Bigger turbos need to operate at higher boost pressures, 7psi through a big highflow would not be getting anywhere near its' efficiency range. NIStune is an excellent engine management option, anyone who says otherwise is either stupid or trying to sell you something more expensive. At the end of the day John, you had a completely shit setup. We tried to explain to you what to do (and it wasn't expensive) to correct the situation but you refused to listen. This is the last time I'm going to mention anything on the subject as I'm sick of just wasting my time and effort for someone that refuses to see reason. If you'e not going to use that split dump pipe then I'll have it back thanks, better and more appreciative places it can be used.
  9. Did someone mention free sausages?? Welcome aboard people!
  10. +1 keep it standard to get it legal, once it passes, then go nuts. Even though I'm in WA that principle still applies.
  11. I had a mate who builds ECU's and wiring looms for a living try to track down the coil harness plugs but he couldn't source them anywhere
  12. Edit: CBF. You wouldn't listen in person so I'm not going to bother.
  13. Try disconnecting the battery, pump brake pedal a few times, reconnect battery and run diagnostics again, see if you get any errors and if they are the same. Yes the Shift Control Unit is part of the ECU.
  14. Build the RB30 into a twincam engine then..
  15. If you have access to Datascan and a consult cable you can use the active tests to determine if VCT is functioning. Shoot me a PM if you need access
  16. Sorry I didn't make it Rowan, I drove 1000+km over the weekend, got home from Albany about 5pm Saturday arvo and made the executive decision that my team would appreciate me making sure my gear was ready and that I had a good nights sleep considering we had a tournament the next morning. P.S. we came 2nd in the Open (pro) division
  17. HPI Pro-D chassis with a 5700kV Mamba brushless, only running on NiMH until I can be bothered to fork out for LiPo. R34 GTR Z-tune shell, silver with black bonnet, black ally wing and working head/tail lights. Spektrum radio gear, fake fmic and exhaust pipe. Currently shod with the bronze rims and tyres that came with the old TT-01D WRX kit. Good times
  18. I use the outer subframe mounts for the rear, and chassis rails up the front.
  19. They usually go for less than $600 over here. But anyway, do not want.
  20. The pattern is full.
  21. Do you have a full turbo back exhaust? Edit: oh Kiwi, yours is a 33 turbo so I'm not surprised yours is on song a little sooner than our 34 hiflows.
  22. I feel for you dude I need my knees fixed but I can't afford the time off at the moment so I get by by wearing chunky hinged braces.. I also shouldn't be still playing paintball but I can't help it.. got a tournament this Sunday and then another a fortnight after
  23. I have a 3" Xforce ceramic cat for my 32 that I only use for the pits. It's shit. Turned my 3L from an insanely responsive torque monster into a doughy POS, and that was only with 183rwkw. My Stagea came with a welded in Xforce metallic cat and that collapsed a few months ago
  24. Have a search dude, there has been a lot of talk about this in the past and some useful information spread. It's quite easy to fk up the air flow though so do a lot of research before you commence.
  25. I ran my 25/30 on a stock RB20 ECU for a few months with no dramas. Stock afm was maxing out about 6000rpm but because the 25 turbo was choking the engine at 5800rpm it wasn't really an issue.
