But if I drop it back a gear and get my nose in front before the dotted line ends.. I have right of way!

Bloody reincarnationist hippies! I don't buy in to the whole "global warming" thing, I do appreciate that we are using up natural resources at a faster rate than they can be replaced but as an individual there's not a whole lot I can do about it. I firmly believe that the best "we" can do is limited to our immediate surroundings, live your life how you want but try not to affect your environment or fellow humans in any adverse way. If everybody lived like this then every little bit would add up to a lot. That is the creed I follow and I don't need religions, politicians or hippies to tell me how to do it. Unfortunately, we are severely outnumbered by people who either don't care (and I'm really one of them, if it doesn't immediately affect my little world, I don't really care too much) and those who care too much which impinges on MY right to live my life how I want. SKYRAIAN driving around with no cat is nothing compared to the damage BP has done to the ecosystem by dumping billions of barrels of oil into the sea. Then there are the millions of diesel powered farm equipment throughout China that are belching unmetered particulates into the atmosphere. That is just the tip of the iceberg. A pissy little country like Australia trying to take a big stance on carbon emissions is ridiculous and a waste of our time and effort unless the WHOLE WORLD follows suit, which isn't going to happen. Things will continue to go downhill faster than we (Australians) can counter it. What IS going to happen, is that our society will die out sooner rather than later. Whether that happens before, or after, the swap of the poles, remains to be seen

I like it and it was cheap compared to a Brembo or even more exotic setup. Really depends on your budget and how serious about tracking the car you are. Really? Are you sure that's not the firewall flexing?

Nothing should need to be done at all to the holes... If fitting R34 GTT brakes (310mm rotors) there would be as they run a 14mm bolt. R32 GTSt/GTR and R33 GTSt/GTR use 12mm bolts. My setup bolted up with the only mod being cutting the backing plate to suit the new location of the calliper. There are two different variations out there, one rotates the calliper 15deg (which is what I'm running), the other just offsets the calliper (I have a set of these brackets aswell for R&D purposes).

On my 32gtst I'm running R33gtst callipers, DBA4000 slotted rotors and Ferodo DS2500 pads. Stops on a dime and way more braking than my tyres can handle, haven't run semi's so no comment there. Also have a master cylinder stopper and braided lines all round, makes a fair difference when standing on the pedal hard. 32gtst and 33gtst callipers are pretty well the same except for longer legs on the 33gtst callipers to suit the bigger rotor. If you tried to use the 32gtst callipers with adapter brackets and 324mm rotors, you'd have to grind a heap out of the inside of the calliper which isn't very pretty or safe, as the 33gtst callipers sit 8mm further out normally than 32gtst items. If it's a pretty dedicated track car, I would go 32gtr callipers (dimensionally the same as 33gtst but lighter) to save on some unsprung weight.

Srsly gays, even if all the import drivers in Australia drove around without a cat, the damage to the environment is negligible compared to the emissions coming out of places like China, India, Pakistan etc. Hell, you don't even have to run cats in NZ and they're supposed to be developed like us. Pick a worthwhile cause to whinge/fight about. Close this thread already, the misinformation and pure dickheadry floating around in here is amazing.

Don't be surprised if they do heh, I bought a 1" BSP 90^ elbow and it was like $40!

Nice work. Even just doing the 2x Welsh plugs makes a world of difference, that's all I've done to mine so it's not fully sik hektic chirping but improved the drivability of the car tremendously, best bang for buck mod to these auto busses.

R34 Tiptronic Auto. Anyone Put A Shift Kit In Thiers?
bubba replied to daineisdabomb's topic in Western Australia
Hmmk, I have a feeling it is about 3000rpm but my wagons' stall is only 2350rpm. Time to do some research! -

No idea, I just bought a whole new cable when my needle broke. -

Any idea what the standard stall is on a 34GTT? -
15psi through the highflow and a really crap rich tune is just touching 90% on a cold night, no idea how much power it's making as the last time it was on a dyno it had a massive boost leak and only made 220awhp Is yours a Neo engine Duncan? if so, let me know how you go with fitting the GTR injectors

Our are front driveshafts (axles) used in anything else? i.e. 33GTR??
-
Nope, I paid my gearbox guy to do it as auto's are all hoodoo voodoo as far as I'm concerned

R32 Gtr Intercooler Onto A R32 Gts-t Too Big?
bubba replied to 335's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
The engine in my 32 is an RB25/30 (R32 RB25DE head so intake plenum bolt pattern is the same as RB20), I had a custom plenum made using the GTR chamber welded to stock runners. If you want to use the GTR cooler then your best bet is using GTR piping and a forward facing plenum (search for KU Engineering) with a bigger throttlebody. If you use the GTR cooler with stock manifold you will have to step from 3.25" down to 2.5" and run the normal "across the radiator" pipe that most aftermarket kits utilise. -
R32 Gtr Intercooler Onto A R32 Gts-t Too Big?
bubba replied to 335's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
To make the best install of the GTR cooler you'll need all the piping. I put a GTR cooler/bov setup in my 32gtst and the fit is excellent, a little bulkier under the guards but a much nicer install than shitty china setups. Only had to drill two small holes for the vacuum lines on the bulkhead fittings, everything else bolted straight up. Using GTR piping setup with your stock manifold will be pretty crappy though. China piping tends to be 2.5" which suits your stock throttlebody whereas GTR piping is like 3.25" and the plenum inlet is a similar size (I have a custom GTR plenum with a Q45 t/b on the front so it suits the 3.25" piping). -

THAT is scary stuff -
Good to know the stock injectors should be good for 250awkw. One day my Stag will get an RB30 too, it sure needs it much more than the 32 does!

This Is The New Recipe Chat Thread...
bubba replied to Houdini's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
No, but after having them on the Stag I wish I had them on the 32! -
I reckon a .63 housing would choke up on the 30, minimum on either GT30 or 35 would be .82. Basically, listen to Al, he has the most responsive +300rwkw RB30 I've seen. Stock injectors and AFM should get you somewhere around 240-260awkw, I'm getting close to this with the highflow on my Stag, which is another option for you but won't make 300kw or have as much punch as a GT30.

I'm not sure how harsh just the welsh plugs would be in a RWD application as I think the 4WD dampens it a little bit. TBH I wouldn't want any harsher shifts in my 4WD daily, if it was a 2WD toy car then I wouldn't care but the 2WD toy car is manual so..

With 33gtst/32R calipers yes, I have a solution that *should* work but haven't tried it yet. I have a set of dogbones that fit on non-4wd front hubs but they hit the lower ball joint on 4wd hubs. I have another set that are supposedly off a z32 that offset the caliper as opposed to the other ones which rotate it. With stock calipers, not yet as I need to solve the offset issue.

Whatever you want to get fed is up to you, I fitted them on the weekend. Agreed, I'm over it.
