  1. I've been looking in to this and I've decided I'm going to run with something like this... http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-830051/?rtype=10 With the rod running across the strut tower and poking out just behind the bonnet at the base of the windscreen. There will be ones that also disconnect the alternator (the one above doesn't).
  2. Experimentation.. As a starting point, with the 32 I used to run ~36psi with the 16" tyres, ~40psi with the 17" tyres and now with the 235/40/18's I run ~42psi. Same size tyres on the Stagea and I run 45psi in them.
  3. Lovely day and some good snags, oh and some good people Had fun, always good to chat with like minded people, good colour spread of cars too!
  4. Nothing special as far as windows install goes, haven't leaned the installation out at all. Boots up in about 30 secs. If you get a decent PSU and wire it up properly, the PC will commence booting as soon as the the key gets to the ACC position and won't reboot while cranking. I also use mine for music but I cbf wiring the PC to an amp so just run RCA out from the front of my CarPC case to the Aux jack on my deck.
  5. Me rikey very much! I already have a carpc and while I run Datascan for daily duties I do have NIStune on there aswell, I like this idea very much!
  6. What about papier mache panels?
  7. 238. You forgot to carry the 1
  8. Yes, that's what I did while my custom shaft was being made. True but my point was you don't REALLY need to get anything welded, bolt the two halves together and get it balanced and away you go. If, however, you are going for BIG power, then it would pay to get a decent shaft built.
  9. RB25 box is longer.. if you use the front half (from centre bearing forwards) of a 33gtst shaft and the rear half of a 32gtst, that's the length that it needs to be.
  10. I think the starter motors are different as the flywheels are different between RB30 and RB20.. have a feeling that RB20 starter motor won't fit RB30 bellhousing..
  11. Factory manual 32gtst is 4.36:1, 32GTR is 4.11:1.
  12. I'm in.
  13. No it doesn't come with a Users license, it is a 34GTT board pre-installed into an ECU to be used as a straight swap (so you don't have your car off the road at all).
  14. RB25 turbo on RB25/30 should make about 180rwkw but will choke the engine up, my power would fall over about 5800rpm.. by the time it got to 6800rpm it was only making 90hp... I had to change to taller diff gears to make proper use of all the extra torque (went from stock 32gtst 4.3:1 to s13 auto 3.9:1) It is a lethal combination though.. spooled from idle, 12psi by ~2200rpm so instant full boost in any gear and rolling on in 5th when others have to drop back a gear. Drop 2nd at 3000rpm without bogging down, fun times.
  15. For sale is one NIStuned ECU for an ER34 GTT RB25DET Neo. Price: $400 + postage Can also set it up for z32 afm etc so you can drive to your tuner.
  16. I'm down for a quality sizzle, don't think we have anything on this Sunday.
  17. This is what I did when I wanted taller ratios.. -Sourced a second hand auto S13 complete diff which is 3.9:1 (you need the whole things as the crown wheel has to match the pinion gear) -Ordered a Nismo 2-way -Gave S13 diff and 2-way centre to my diff guy to set up -Collect new diff -Put car on hoist and swap complete old diff for complete new diff I vaguely remember coming across a 3.7:1 diff but can't remember what it was out of.. I recommend doing some searching as I think various ratios and what they came from was discussed.
  18. R32gtst + RB30DET is where it's at
  19. +1 for the innovate widebands Borrowed my mates LM-2 last night so I can use it through NIStune for the tune tomorrow. Will be getting myself an LC-1 for tuning soon and another LC-1 to replace the narrowband in the car.
  20. $160 is like 2 hours of my time.. if I had already spent +45mins on the phone then I would just write it off before I wasted any more of my time. I'm all for fighting idiotic beauracracy but are you willing to piss a lot of time and money up the wall just to make a point?
  21. VCT won't affect what you can do unless you want HUGE cams. Yes an RB25DET gearbox will hold up behind an RB26 (GTR's run pretty much the same internals in their box) Gearbox and brakes would add maybe 30kg? Box is what? 20kg heavier? Rear brakes are the same, front calipers are pretty well the same (negligible as far as weight is concerned), the only significant difference would be the slightly bigger (heavier) front rotors.
