  1. People even get Hitman flown over here to NZ to tune there cars.. I would love to do that..
  2. Sounds like my RB30 My GTR head is ported, cams etc. But I have a stock bottom end. I will push it until it blows.. then worry about it. I have 3 more full bottom ends sitting there ready to go. I can see I will need a bigger turbo down the road though if I want decent numbers.
  3. It's a GTR man :headspin: Didn't know you could get N1 spec GTS-T's.. williamsf1: Yes a Power FC will drag a lot more potential out of your car with those mods.
  4. Well I havn't had it running in the car yet.. and it will still require a bit of a sledge hammer tap to fit the box into the S13 tunnel It's not the best thing to do but I thought I would try it because I had a broken transfer case sitting there... I basically removed everything from the output shaft and left the speedo drive there.. then cut the side of the case off and welded it all up. It's not pretty, but I think it should work ok. I believe you can use a Z32 nose cone.. but I'm not sure what they do about the shifter when they do this. This box would now be similar to a RB25DET box.. but GTR boxes are a lot cheaper and easier to find than an RB25DET box..
  5. Its all about the tuner.. so the difference will vary greatly. Unless you need to run an aftermarket ecu.. the stock one does a great job.
  6. Every car I have fitted them to had no problems.. I usually fit solid poly bushes to my cars if I can also.
  7. Couldn't find it man... Can someone link me or something.. Joel this should be in your guide anyway
  8. It shouldn't really run rich... as boost pressure effects fuel pressure directly. So at full throttle with less boost, he will be seeing less fuel pressure, and also run leaner.
  9. I love it when people fall back on this kind of stuff.. Sorry to tell you but your Auto and an Auto in a F1 is so different it's not even funny.. If your car had an electrohydraulic gear system that was worth 10x the price of the car.. then yes, maybe I would like to drive that auto. We are talking about the difference between a factory auto and a factory manual that "Skylines" came out with. As this is SDU.. This does not include a "modified auto" for drag also, as once again.. this is nothing like your stock Nissan auto.. that is going to last 5 minutes with 300rwkw. Most of us that are discussing this have our cars as daily drivers, do some track work etc. And most of us are using stock Nissan parts.. For all round performance, that lasts and performs.. the manual is best.
  10. Boost controller off should just make the car return to stock boost.. so yes you can drive it as hard, if not harder than usual.
  11. Well I have seen 400kw with RB26 AFM's.. we then upgraded to RB20/25 AFM's. You can push the stock AFM's past what they are recommended to do.
  12. Oh great! lol.. Well I am probably going to do it tomorrow.. so if your around.. please try and get the info!
  13. I just smell a whole lot of Manual envy.. Oh and I have another guy coming in next week to have his auto ditched.. haaha.
  14. Thanks mate. Was hoping to do the welding this weekend when I get my gearbox welded up.
  15. Well I had the perfect comparison... and the same with all my GTS-T/GTS-4 Skylines. Auto I would drag them, convert them to manual drag again. Manual was always faster. Auto was consistent.. Everyone has different experiences I guess..
  16. Ok cool. So im going to mod my RB30E mounts by redrilling. 15mm Drivers side, 13mm Passanger. *fingers crossed*
  17. People always say that when they are stuck with an Auto. Fact is a manual is much more fun to drive, no matter what. Auto, good for a long cruise when you don't want to move much/relax. If Auto's were so great.. I wouldn't have covered dozens of skylines to manual for people. The Nissan Autos are not reliable, the drivetrain loss is quite bad, they are a lot heavier. I have driven the new R34 Tiptronic setups... still no match for a manual. I think you would need a Ferrari setup or the new VW to get a nice shift.
  18. Well over 300rwkw should be possible with the right tuner/mods. Stock bottom end is strong if your kind to it.
  19. Yeah I doubt the angle will have any effect at all.. Well I know you can't redrill each side the same amount.. as they are on different angles.. got any photos? Guess I will have to experiment.. need to keep the same angle though or the gearbox and stick will be on the wrong angle also.. I removed all the clutch packs etc from the GTR transfer case in the weekend so I can convert the box to 2WD.
  20. I find you will only be beaten by an Auto if you don't know how to drive your manual There was a reason the GTR didn't come out auto.. auto is horrible.
  21. Can you get a more accurate measurement.. i would like to drop my motor a little.. just to help with fitting
  22. Low 10s in a 2WD Skyline seems to break things.. Try it when it breaks.. upgrade
  23. Get a decent computer and have it tuned right.. you can make 400kw with those.
