  1. I know him and where he works.. have to tell him people want his coil setup. No idea why he wouldn't respond. I personally find stock coils very cheap to replace and have always been fine for me. Maybe one will break down from time to time.. i would just get another one.
  2. No I have a more regular RB30DET in my S13, the one pictured is a little more serious and in a R32 GTR. My S13 should still be some fun.. if I ever get it finished
  3. Then there are old builds like mine that havn't done 1km yet... It will some day!! I don't have a crank collar also.. same reason as Cubes, the cost at the time. Oh got the dry sump setup on the OS RB30 almost done. A lot of work in that to fit it all in a stock engine bay.
  4. Notice that the HKS R33 has not done times like that since.. (not that I know of) You have to remember rules on cages and whats allowed and not change a lot from country to country, and this can greatly effect times.
  5. Well I guess he went to the trouble to do the research and make a working cable.. You would think with all these people out to make money off apexi's product, they wouldn't just release their own cables seperatly for a decent price
  6. May I ask how you get 48.5%? Is it just from knowledge.. or a different way to work it ou?
  7. You can position it between the covers and screw one bolt into one of the holes that secures the centre cover. It's only light and holds well like this.
  8. A friends car is running the stock twin afm's with a split pipe on a T88. This car has made over 400kw and ran a best of 10.6 so it's possible.
  9. The 30mm or so really make that bigger difference? I would say the cheapest would be to modify a current setup by far.
  10. Wow this looks awesome. Seems crazy to me there isn't a cheap cable someone is releasing. Why is the FC about the only ECU that it's so hard to get software to tune with..
  11. You don't have to buy an ARC one.. I had one on an R32 that I wanted to replace. I priced up custom made like that. It's just a normal cooler bent slightly to fit. Not to complicated.
  12. I had a GTR that came with a pair of blitz BOV's as well as the stock ones connected.. It was running horribly and we could hear a leak. Blocked the Blitz ones up and it was an animal.. good ol stockers.
  13. Yep. When the AFM maxes out and your at WOT.. it feels like an intercooler pipe or something has popped off.. you just lose power instantly until you take your foot right off the throttle. You normally get this if you cut the speed cut wire.. I never did find a way on my old GTS-T to get over the AFM cut at 205kmh or what ever it was
  14. Except when you kill the crank in your RB26 and have to fork out for the new one etc... I like the RB30 bottom end for how cheap the parts are while making good power.
  15. I tried it with plastic mesh. The stuff they use for covering plants etc. Worked good. You would want to make sure it never got sucked into the engine..
  16. New intake, and new Wheels. Getting closer lol.
  17. Pretty simple to get some mesh and install it yourself. Just try it with and without to see if there is any problem.
  18. Yah i had a problem with my old custom made AFM being too close to the turbo causing very strange problems.. gets super rich after slight spool. Made a nice split intake pipe now. looks pimp.
  19. You think RB motors in S13's are a tight fit.. This is tight:
  20. I always thought it was like the mesh on the end of taps.. so that it evens the flow as it passes through.
  21. Is the actual ECU different with the D-Jetro? As I see you still have to splice the maps sensors into the AFM wires... and normal power Fc's have the side port? I think I have seen this asked before and the answer was no.. but can you just buy the map sensor part and make a normal FC run off maps?
  22. Good points there. Big diff between a street car and a car that only runs at WOT for 7 seconds.. http://www.kiwidragracing.com/multimedia/1...arvey_Slide.mpg Anyone seen this vid of the datto! look at the fluid that comes out.. ouch.
  23. Yeah have it all running. Just have to get it on the dyno and see if it can be tuned up all right.. Waiting on my wheels etc and have been fitting my wide bodykit, A LOT of work in this.. regretting it as I would have been driving it if not for that.. but will look mean when it's all on Sounds awesome though, can't wait.
  24. I spliced mine in. Running an aftermarket ecu though. I have seen people use 2 of the same O2 sensors on a stock GTR just change the plug and this seemed to work fine. I thought they had different plugs so the stock ECU always knew which was the front and which was the rear, but the sensors were generally exactly the same? They only help with fuel economy anyway, not WOT conditions so how could it hurt the engine?
  25. On that note Joel. What is going to happen with my RB20AFM in the 4" pipe.. ? Will it max out at double what it normally would?
