  1. When Hamish says 'spigot' he is referring to hub rings. I at first didn't realise what he was talking about either. hahah Hub centric spacers are useless without hub rings. Those things. They can come in plastic as well. They just rest on your hubs and your wheels/spacers rest on them. There will be less strain on your studs.
  2. About 15.5kg with 235 tyres. Taken from a thread few weeks back.
  3. Think he means glare. There's no longer a cut off line. To fix this problem, you need to reinstall the halogen globes. Your headlights were never designed to take HID globes.
  4. I think I see what you're saying. It would really depend on how confident you are with working on cars and what needs to be done. Touching something on the car when you're not confident or know what you're doing could end up costing you more. I've always done things on my car at home. Only went out a few times with things I don't trust myself with (usually brake gear and wheel alignments).
  5. Well this thread failed didn't it? Never mind, few people offered over on the ae86dc forum. Seems like they have more back yarders there. hahah

    Where are you located?
  7. Tough indeed. Pics are from a few pages back.
  8. Hey everyone, I'm in need of an engine crane for about a week. Does anyone have one I can borrow? My engine is expected to arrive Monday morning and need a crane to be able to move it. I'm willing to pay for the hire. If you've got one just collecting dust, let me know. Will probably head to Kennards to hire one I can't find one here, but just wanted to give you guys a chance to earn some money! Oh I'm in Noble Park. Cheers, Adam

  10. Yep, couldn't agree more. Just be careful though, you could turn into a back yard mechanic and you might start to not trust yourself.
  11. R32s normally take H1 or H3C globes depending on the year it was made as far as I know. Best to check what you've got though. You never know if the headlights have been swapped out from a newer series.
  12. You honestly don't know where they would sell light globes? hahah Anyway, just drop into your local supercheap auto, autobahn or even kmart might have some. The price would depend on which globe you choose to get. Better quality and brighter globes will cost more. The size you'll need will be printed on the base of the globe, if nothing's there, just bring it into the shop and ask them.
  13. Something about 2 trucks traveling at roughly 95kmh in the 40kmh road work zone. Edit: http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2008/06/24/2283620.htm
  14. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/R3...old-t93814.html There you go. Try that out and see what error you get.
  15. I like that band aid thing you've got there. Reminds me of this picture...
  16. Run your climate control through the diagnostic in the tutorial section thread. It'll tell you what's wrong with your system, but at first guess, I'm gonna say that you forgot to plug in a temperature sensor.
  17. I'm not 100% sure on the 31s thread pitch, but I would take a guess and say that it's 12x1.25 too. Most Nissans are. The S13s are 12x1.25. Nissans are usually 12x1.25 whereas Toyotas are 12x1.5. Best to trial fit though before buying. Just get someone who owns a Toyota and try their nut. It should screw in, but then go hard, I wouldn't recommend pushing it in any further for obvious reason. haha
  18. I don't see why not. If they're H1 globes, just get the H1 globes in the HID form with the ballasts etc. Only problem I see you might run into would be how the globe is held it. If the fog light has a clip to hold the globe in then I don't see a problem. Driving with them on in city traffic is another issue. Edit: I assume that you're saying 'xenon' as HID globes, not just halogen globes filled with xenon gas.
  19. You need to get the nuts with the thread pitch of 12x1.25. The ones you see for sale at ~$200 a set, I think you're just paying for the name and light weight of the nuts. Not 100% sure on that one. I have to say that when they said 'light weight', I didn't expect it to be that light. I was shocked at how light they were. I paid ~$120 for a set of blue Ray lock nuts from yahoo auctions Japan.
  20. I've taken out the centres of my wheels. Had tyres on them too. Just deflate the tyres as much as you can before taking the face out though. Shouldn't be a problem. From another thread on here, I've heard you should get the wheels rebalanced after taking the centre out. Haven't read on why it needs to be done though. Could be obvious to some as to why you should balance it again, but I can't seem to think of anything at the moment.
  21. Ohhhhhh...... I'm never gonna get sick of looking at your car man.
  22. Guards are all done now. In those pics, the rear guards were just pumped using the newspaper technique. It helped with clearance, but was still rubbing with every bump. Ended up borrowing a roller and gave it a little more of a flare/pump. It's all good now as far as I know, no rubbing at all. Fronts just needed a roll and it's all good as well. His rear tyres are actually 235s not 245s.
  23. hahaha My guards need a few extra hours on the guards to stop it rubbing completely, but it doesn't matter. I'll just limit my passenger numbers. More work on the car soon though, next time you see it, there should be something a little more interesting under the bonnet. Abu's only got 2 sets of wheels, the stockies and the wheels he's currently running. We continued work on the guards today, with a proper tool this time. hahah If I get my car back together after pulling it apart in a few weeks, I'll be at the next meet.
  24. Who would've guessed abu will get new wheels hey? His wheels arrived late in the day and we were trying to get his wheels to fit. Flaring/pumping, we thought we would get it done just in time, but how wrong we/I was. Glad there was still a good turnout even with the shocking weather.
  25. PM one of the guys who have the FAST program. They'll be able to give you a part number for the cylinder. Might have to give them your VIN number.
