  1. Best to install some 5mm spacers in my opinion. Getting hub centric spacers will be best. From what I can see in the picture you've just posted, it doesn't look like the wheels are resting on the hubs, but the studs itself. You'll need some hub rings for them to sit on the hubs. Just grinding 2-5mm off the calipers and leaving the wheels as they are is no better than just installing some 3-5mm spacers. Edit: I also wanted to mention that you can't rely on offsets alone to decide whether or not the wheels will clear the calipers. It's all in the design of the face of the wheel.

Hrmm, after taking a look at the installation steps for installing a FMIC kit on an R33 in the link below, most of the cutting would be for air flow. The little chop he did was for clearance, but I reckon you would be able to just 'tilt' the core back so that it clears. I think that's how I would've installed mine. Bend the piping around so that you can just tilt the intercooler back to have it not touching the reo bar. If you've got the front bar you're happy with then I don't see a problem with the reo bar when fitting an FMIC at all. http://hiprollc.com/installations/gtskit.pdf

It's just that when you get an after market bar, you'll have to chop the reinforcement bar for it to fit tightly and look good. The part I circled would be thinner than what the reinforcement bar really is so you would cut the reo bar so that you won't see it. Hope that made sense. I'm not too sure about the 34's, but in my 32, there were no problems with the reinforcement bar so I can't really say about adjusting pipes, etc. Edit: Forgot to attach pic.

Ah, didn't realise we were talking about standard bars. With that bar, I would assume that the reinforcement bar would need cutting if you're using the standard GTT reo bar. You could probably use a GTR bar, but how often do they come by...

Sorta... Here's a picture of abu's car with a FMIC kit which goes through standard piping holes. Hope he doesn't mind. Edit: Forgot to throw a kit which doesn't go around so you can compare...
  6. That's a RIP OFF. Don't go there/to that person. The roller itself costs $150 or there abouts. Rolling of guards should not cost more than $50 a corner.

I never had to cut my reinforcement bar either. The core sat nice and tight behind it. Only thing needed cutting was the standard front bar and there was a LOT to be cut out for it to fit. Mounting the cooler lower will give you problems with the piping if you're not getting it custom made. You could always just use the standard kit piping and flip the cooler itself upside down, but then it'll be dragging on the floor.
  8. If you're talking about the low beams, they would be H1 because the car's a 1994 model, but best to make sure by checking because you never know if the headlights have been swapped.
  9. I think everyone in the south east learnt how to drive there. haha What's going on there now? I live so close to it, but haven't seen that area for a few months now. Looked like they were building a road to somewhere when I last saw it. Eastlink?
  10. It looks like a lot of time and money has gone into that car. The job itself doesn't look too bad. The idea is 'wrong'. Definitely buy an NA Skyline.
  11. Have you tried moving the steering wheel? Give the wheel a little turn while you're trying to turn the key.
  12. Try adjusting the ones that are a pain in the arse to get to. They're usually the ones that adjust your headlights. When you say you installed 'xenon's' do you mean HID lights? If you did, that'll be the reason everyone's flashing you right there. Have a search about HIDs into R33's reflectors to find out why.

Cutting the front bar and reo bar will be easiest using an angle grinder.
  14. I think he means those hub rings for when you get after market wheels. So that the wheel's are resting on the hubs instead of nuts.
  15. Hmm yeah, I guess it would depend on the officer checking your car out because when my brother's friend got defected for height, all they checked before they cleared it (at VicRoads) was the height of his side skirts and front bar.
  16. Yeah, it does this on my car as well. Having it blow cool air gets rid of the fog easier than warm air.
  17. I thought you told me you were turning 31! hahah Happy birthday man.
  18. Where'd you hear this from? I'm pretty sure it's that any part of your car can't be lower than 100mm unless it's a part of the suspension or something. Let me check with the Vicroads site though. Edit: Here's a piece from the VicRoads modifications pdf file. So pretty much everything, but the wheels, hubs, etc. THIS IS FOR VICTORIA, not too sure if other states are the same.
  19. Nah, I knew the bashing was for a bit of fun, but did it do anything? Did it start to fold the lip or dent it at all? hahah It's just that I tried doing that to mine and nothing happened.
  20. ahahaha how'd it go? When I tried using a hammer on my rear guards, nothing happened. I also kept hitting the brakes so couldn't really use a larger hammer. Used a pole in the end.
  21. Been reading a bit about changing fuel filters and it doesn't seem all that hard. Just de-pressurise the system by removing some fuses. Clamp up hoses, take old one out, replace with new one, connect everything back up. Pressurise your system again then you're done!
  22. Just follow others once you get to the location. haha. When you see another skyline driver, just start following him, you'll eventually get to the meet spot. Just hope he doesn't take this advice as well otherwise you'll be following each other. hahaha don't worry about it. I'm going in a 1983 Corolla, it's not much better. Hopefully the weather holds out. ** goes to check if there's gonna be rain expected ** Edit: I think it's a bit early...
  23. But I drive a rolla. hahaha. Nah I'll join up.
  24. 95% chance I'll be there. Tempted to sign up to the club too. Even if it is with my corolla. Count me in!
