  1. Any falcon wheels should fit on the a skyline, pretty sure they all have the same stud pattern. Fronts you'll need to find something decent though because the falcons won't clear the calipers.
  2. I still don't understand why you posted up wanting to see other peoples wheels which have a +35 offset. Fair enough those who post tell you their widths, but how do we know you want a 8.5" (or there abouts) wide wheel with the +35 offset to see how it sits, or a 11.5" wide with the +35? Not trying to start shit by the way, just saying... Anyway, if this helps, here's 'ford' car. He's running 17x9 +30 all round with 235/45 tyre on the fronts and 255/40 rears. Standard guards all round apparently. And here's abu's car. He's running 18 x 8.5 + 28 up front and 18 x 9.5 + 30 out back. Rolled rear guards only. Not too sure on sizes of his tyres. I'm sure he'll see this thread and add it if needed.
  3. Only a 2mm difference which is nearly nothing so definitely the +18s. If it just rubs because of the 2mm then dial in some neg camber to clear it. It doesn't take much. But if you bought the +20mm offset wheels and it was a little too weak of a fitment (if that's what you're after) you'll have to add spacers which is illegal and you might not want to do that. +18. Edit: I just pressed post reply even though I hadn't even finished what I was going to say.
  4. Too bad it's no longer that colour. It's now some creamy colour, doesn't look too bad, but this car was known for its satin paint.
  5. I don't understand why you wouldn't want to keep it in Melbourne? Unless those who voted 'no' are from interstate and are just jealous.
  6. Who said this was going in? That sucks if it does come in, but I highly doubt it. For now at least...
  7. hahaha, some people just don't read.
  8. An offset number without a wheel width is useless. Having +35mm offsets on a 8" wide wheel is 32mm closer (or further away if wheels are already past guard) to a guard than a +35 on a 10.5" wheel. If you're looking for people with +35mm offset just to see if that offset clears calipers, then that's not a good idea either. Caliper clearance depends on the style and face of the wheel. Just felt I should put that information out there.
  9. For the new drivers, none of that till 22! Remember you've got 4 years on Ps now. And by then (Edit: by then, I mean July), petrol will probably be at $2 a litre.
  10. They don't fit if I remember correctly. This question has come up a few times since I've been on this site and I never seem to remember it 100%. I'll do a little hunting around and get back to you, but as far as I know, no, they don't fit. Edit: Nope. They don't fit. The sides of the bar is longer on the sedans compared to coupe.
  11. I received mine in the mail this morning. I'm glad VicRoads gave it for free instead of telling us to go out and buy our own.
  12. I don't see what the big problem is? Is it just the colour is no longer red so everyone's getting upset? hahaha The rules you picked up when you got your licences still apply, no other restrictions apply unless you've lost your licence altogether. I see having green Ps instead of the reds when they come in can only be better for us. People with the reds will draw the attention away from us because they're less experienced and hopefully the police will pick on them more. VicRoads should've made things a little more clear though. A lot of people are taking this 'you've now got green P plates' thing all wrong. They think they've got new restrictions etc.
  13. Think people from the west are supposed to meet up at "Western Ring Road Mobil/McDonalds (inbound)." Up to you guys/girls if you want to organise a little cruise to the pre-meet spot. I must admit, I'm a little worried the police are going to turn up and end the night early. Edit: How did 2 posts get in before me. I must be a slow ass typer.
  14. The rules we had on the red P still applies. We just have different coloured plates. It's just that the new red plate drivers will have extra restrictions. Limited passangers who's under 21, etc.
  15. Yep, got mine. The green isn't too bad. Was expecting a uglier colour green. hahah The 6 ways of disposing old red plates is stupid.

    Congrats Aj!

Congrats mate. Good to hear everything's going well.
  17. R32 calipers take 280mm by 30mm discs, 33's take 296mm by 30. R32 GTR's take 296mm by 32. Z32 calipers take same disc sizes as 32's. All four are alloy. S14/15 calipers are iron and take discs the same size as R32's calipers. S14 calipers weigh in at 4.8kg, Z32's weigh in at 3.6kg and R33 calipers weigh in at 3.8kg each. From left to right, R33, S14 and Z32 calipers. Sorry I don't have any pics of them comparing it to R32 calipers, I just stole those pics and number from some site I had in my favourites. I think you're asking for sizes of calipers so they don't touch your wheels, I've read that R33 ones will clear more than 32's, but don't know for sure.
  18. Yep, couldn't agree more. Both would look nice, but definitely the bronze XD9s on a midnight purple car.
  19. That 'd34throw' GTR looks so farkin tough! Out of the three pictured, definitely white with black/carbon fibre bonnet.
  20. Hrmm, they've dropped in price quite a lot since the last time I looked. Yep, simple as that. The standard plugs plug into the HID ballasts which are connected to the HID globes. Just take out the plugs which are connected to the ballasts and connect them to your new halogen globes.
  21. The globe and the wiring is one piece. Definitely better to just replace these HID kits altogether and get normal halogen globes. It will end up being cheaper doing this than getting a replacement bulb. When I was looking into how much a replacement bulb (HID globe) would cost to replace, I read $80 each. You're better off buying a new kit altogether, but what's the point when the lighting it gives will be all over the place and you can risk getting defected for them? Much better to spend that $80 on a pair of quality globes. Edit: Also just to let you know, you'll probably have to get the same branded globes your kit is because the plugs may be different from kit to kit. Easier to return to halogen globes.
  22. They're a piece of plastic/steel that fills the gap between your wheels and hubs. Nothing interesting to be honest. They just sit on the hub ready for your wheels to be put on. Edit: They can be bought from any good tyre/wheel store.
  23. If we're talking about the same bubble (one circled in attached photo), I've heard that a heat gun and a piece of wood will get it down. Just heat up the affected area and push down with the piece of wood. I haven't tried it myself, but it could work.
