  1. That sounds good Bob... last time I contacted Maltech they said they only did series 1. Do they really do series 2 now? Tom I'm pretty sure R33 and R34 lines are too different to use, besides just the banjo bolts? I seem to remember they are too short and lack an extra hard line section which the stagea has... can anyone confirm?
  2. Thanks Raymond. I don't have FAST so if anyone is able to oblige... I'm fairly certain that the Stagea lines are unique though. It's been established elsewhere that they're not the same as '33 or '34 (mainly because they're a different length, and I think the stagea has an extra hard line). Oh and banjo vs threaded fittings etc.
  3. Thanks Brendan. Peter do you mind posting a photo or two?
  4. Hi, This doesn't seem to have come up for a while. Anybody know if anyone has ADR-approved braided lines as an "off-the-shelf" item for series 2 C34? I have been through dozens of topics and had lots of correspondence with companies who say "we only have Skyline on the shelf. But if you send yours in, we should be able to copy it...". Not an option for me. Does anybody have lines for the stock series 2 C34 brake setup (auto RS-Four)? thanks DaveB
  5. Lol at the dangling modifier examples. If you only changed fuel pumps, and not fuel pressure regulator, then you shouldn't have any issues - car should run just as before. I have the Walbro GSS341 as well (the 255l/h pump) and have never bothered to hard-wire it. Made no difference to the tune when installed. It has been running on a Nistune tune with a higher fuel pressure and larger injectors for a couple of years now without issues.
  6. If I recall right, SK used his series 1 as a towcar for years without problems. He suggested upgrading the standard trans cooler though (it's just a small tube-and-fin unit on S1's) and I think he used a Davies Craig unit. I suggest talking to a reputable trans specialist for finer details. If you're stuck for one try MV Automatics in Blackwood, Adelaide. Mike knows automatic transmissions.
  7. Hi there, I'm after a ballast unit for S2 stagea (C34). Prefer driver side but I don't think it matters. thanks DaveB

    Stagea Dashmat

Not certain but I have seen factory-fitted dashmats with both the "flap" version and the cutout. As long as it's a "flap" which can fold up during airbag deployment, and the hinged section is above the airbag, then it should be OK?
  9. $590, brand new. Sorry the link is a little broken. It's about the 9th item down on this page: http://www.japaneseimportspares.com.au/nissanstageaw34standardpartsinside/
  10. Don't know if anyone has seen this already but here's a brand new one going for what seems a very reasonable price if somebody is doing a nice manual conversion: http://www.japaneseimportspares.com.au/itemdetails/35929
  11. Sounds like all the battery circuit stuff is working but the main ignition circuit has failed. Long shot but I actually had a very similar issue for a while and traced it to the main ignition harness connector on the back of the interior driver's-side fuse panel. I confirmed the issue by manually manipulating the really thick wires going into the top of the fuse panel and watching the ignition-operated stuff (like the instrument cluster) flash on and off. The main harness connector (smallish, thick wire going in, only one or two terminals I think very vague menmory). It was making a poor connection. I removed the fuse panel and sanded and manipulated the connector on the plug to make better contact and that fixed it.
  12. Tried www.nistune.com? You need a type 4 board. Also, it's probably worth letting them install it in the ECU; it's a pretty significant soldering job what with the desoldering that's required.
  13. Pretty sure they are different for S1? Anybody know?
  14. I suppose you can say whether or not S1 works now Simon
  15. Hi all, Simple question: can somebody with a S2 with the standard/non-Xanavi climate control, please confirm whether it can display outside temperature? Reason I want to know is that I am looking to convert my Xanavi unit to standard using a Yahoo Japan-sourced conversion harness, and I would like to keep the external temperature display. cheers DaveB
  16. Nice, thanks Zoro :-) so r33 gtr ones will fit stagea ?
  17. Thanks Dale. Got under there today and made sure everything was tight (which it was) so now looks like I just need to find the part numbers. Is somebody able to fast these? My fast isn't working at the moment.
  18. cool thanks, hopefully that means its not a rack out job then
  19. Hi all, I was wondering if anyone has had to do anything about a loose power steering rack? The rack/ram appears to be attached with basically two clamps which are tightened via 17mm bolts (mine are very tight), and the driver's side one has some sort of outer tube either side of the clamp to prevent the rack sliding. My rack has started moving inside the clamp/bush, enough that it is visible and you can hear a loud "clunk/clunk" when you wiggle the wheel when the car is stationary. I would like to replace the rubber bushes as common sense tells me this is probably all that's wrong however I don't know how big a job it will be to get at these, whether it would be a rack out operation or not. Also if anyone has the part number or access to FAST that would be great (2000 series 2 auto) thanks DaveB
  20. Well done darq - have you got the pinout you used?

    Pas Problem

Just a suggestion, maybe excessive play in the steering column uni joint? I have read that this can cause the symptoms you describe.
  22. Wow this is scary stuff to me - looks like people's tyres (Dunlops or Bridgestones) seem to be lasting 20-30,000 km of street us only(!) Sounds to me like the R35 could be very expensive on tyres... what is the average cost of OEM-equivalents (I guess Dunlops or Bridgestones)? Plus I suppose even more if you want run-flats?
  23. Awesome... lol @ the VW comments Great job with the display install. Did you have a xanavi unit originally?
  24. Tierod ends were stuffed, unfortunately they had chewed the arm on the hub so bad that I was advised I need new hubs, gotta get under there and see what's going on.
  25. Yes looking at other brands... only other ones I've heard of are Wiseco and CP; CP are apparently OK but I haven't asked the builder about Wiseco. I wouldn't even know where to get these from as I don't know if they have the custom measurements on file for RB25 NEO.
