Not meaning to be rude but WHY? If you r after launch control or ignition cut limiter it would be a whole lot easier to go the Gizzmo electronics Tach recall &launch control combo or Bee*R launch control (though not so sure about the Bee*R unit) You get to keep vct and everything else and still achieve the ignition cut rev limiter And 0km/h rev limit launch control thingo as well Just my 2cents worth

Stock looking ones seem to be hard to find??
-
Their just in series yeh? Nice work though, assume thats the driftcat car track car + overkill =
-
Thought cusco were adjustable cant ya just adjust em out?? Serious question!!
-
Is it bad to spit flames?
-
had a quick look tonight and that spot actually is looking better an better Ronin assume u used the bolt holes for the power steering lines, Had wanted to tuck mine up near the drivers side engine mount but I dunno if I am going to manage to fit it in their though its tight!!
-
Sorry ronin meant my cars too low not the oil filter Yeah I figured that was the tow hook thingo in front of where yours was mounted so realisticly its probly fairly safe I guess Mine is actually still in process of being decided upon/mounted but back to work tomorrow so I guess it wont get finished now for a week or so. Damn braided lines are going to be all wrong methinks Damn! Roy are you talking about me or noone inparticular??? Any suggestions much appreciated bud Looks like the GTR's getting group buy suspension too so might be off the road for a little while
-
Would depend on how different the nismo ones are, not 100% sure there, sorry.
-
Maybe I was a little harsh Check this one out though and on sand crazy stuff http://www.fullboost.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=1459 sure someone has posted it before lol
-
It would run with no oil too....... Just not for long!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
engine light typically set at 60 knock and anything above that is a concern if it is only happening at the limiter easy fix dont hit the limiter unless you see it all the time I wouldn't loose to much sleep if its pretty regular ask your tuner he might be able to put more fuel or less ignition at the limit point might help?!? Woulda thought 90% injector duty is pushing it too much too?
-
After looking at the ripple strip paint on my crossmember I think thats a little low and exposed for my liking that said I doubt it woulda hit but still a little scary (mine is too low though too) appreciate all the pics though guy Was thinking the other side probly only a foot or so forward of the normal mounting point but much much easier to get to an will try an tuck it up a little more not too sure how to route the lines and thinking that my choice of mounting spots may be why the lines look like they are all wrong probly wouldnt have brought a kit if I were doing it again individual parts and custom lines to suit!!!!!
-
In the same boat Matt31 from what Sydneykid told me "The kits are designed to be used with the standard strut tops, I have a few sets of fronts, but no rears. You can pick them up from the import wreckers or on the 'for sale" forum." Don't think its going to be a huge issue and if you wanna sell your Nismo bits you will get a better price if they are complete anyway know whatImean Hope that helped

Living in darwin dont need any more overheating issues its hot enough up here as is!! Good to here some definitive results though, main reason I didnt wanna mount between radiator and intercooler 2 begin with
-
totally agree Ronin, Baron an all an after a bit a dickin around this arvo looks like I can just squeeze it in there still a little concerned about the angle but like ya say bit a ducting allgood Looks like the braided lines supplied wont be too helpful might be able to shorten on an use the others they might be a little short though Still gotta finalize the position for the filter relocater hopefully mount it down low in front of the crossmember see how it goes and holesaw a bunch a holes into the plastic guard liner too ventilation ventilation Just wish that intercooler piping left a little more room
-
yeh nice easy solution would wanna be strongish mesh though Like the sound of any track with " great big run off area's "
-
For a track only car and using hardened cooler cores all good, but damn I would hate to have a belt let go and hole that core at speed or kitty litter during an off
-
cheers URAS yeh mine has a flex joint in it so I dont need to add additional bracing yes?? hope so want to heat wrap the dumps so will be easier without extra braces added and in the way. Will wait till they arrive an have a good look might even ceramic coat em not 100% sure yet.
-
Thanx for the pic ronin thats pretty much where I had wanted to put mine but wasnt sure about the air flow with the core on an angle like that nothing some ducts wouldnt fix I spose either way I do agree that behind the intercooler is less than ideal so I might give that a go Nice work though with the fittings on the bottom it would drain out good to depending on where you mount the relocator Do you plan on refitting the plastic liner with the brake ducts etc ?? Bout the only spot I could fit it was like this And a shot without the core of the same area, good shot of the power steering cooler Think the spot yours is in would be better as even by reversing the brackets on the power steer cooler to get as much room as possible its still a tight fit really dont want it to rub through on the oil cooler Thats without even taking into account the problems with airflow and heat from the radiator and intercooler sandwiching the oil cooler and would need to relocate the recirculation pipe for the blow off valves as the section where it goes over the bumper supports would have to be straightened out so it runs under that bracket. Will have a better chance to play around tomorrow an see how it ends up
-
Finally got around to trying to fit the just jap 19 row with relocator but trying to find room!!!?!!? Doesn't appear to be room in either of the normal spots (below the headlights ) by relocating the piping from the blow off valves I might be able to fit it between the radiator and FMIC but, possibly due to my 100mm thick intercooler core and aircon and power steering cooler, it'll be Damn tight will have to trim the mounting tabs a bit on the ends of the cooler anyone manage to get one of these to actually fit????? Figure the braided lines will be way to long too and will have to run the lines into the top of the core, will have to if I plumb the bov back in with modified piping, would of thought going into bottom of the core would have drained out better as this will end up leaving the cooler full and it would mean the pump is having to pump uphill to get to the cooler core Damn havn't even started trying to mount the filter relocator yet Will post some pics tomorrow
-
Cheers mate figured as much will have to try an find that thread an see if anyone has some pics of how they braced theres hopefully will be reasonably obvious anyway
-
Can anyone comment on the need with the trust/greddy dump front pipes (pictured above) to brace the pipes I think to the bellhousing am sure I read on here somewhere that without bacing them it can cause drama's with cracking pipes etc (from memory the pics on that thread were no longer working) Am hoping to fit these to mine soon but using garret turbos, supposedly that makes the job harder than using trust turbos as well Should be alot a fun but hopefully worth the effort.
-
Would a clean undented fin 32 GTR intercooler be better than a 100 mm thick aftermarket core if its got fins that are dented a bit an kinda closed up doesnt leak but looks shitty an I think might be resticting flow a bit. Anyone got dimensions of the stocky? Might be able to get a good condition stocker cheapish thinking it will make a good stopgap till I can source a ARC or something Been having some cooling probs so thinking the thick core might not be helpin

Twin Turbo Straight Six Cylinder Engine
noone replied to Forged's topic in General Automotive Discussion
"The world’s first in-line 6-cylinder engine with Twin Turbo technology " Hang on worlds first am I missing something here nice mill sure but hardly the worlds first think my 89 vintage rb26dett might a been there first, not sure there isnt others too -
Second Baron's comments tomei look nice and trust dump/fronts look even nicer and from searching on here seem to be the pick of all possibilitys though harder to fit than the other options I am going to try to fit trusts myself so may be able to give better advice soon
