How Affective Is Ebay At Selling Car Parts?
noone replied to Kaido_RR's topic in General Automotive Discussion
IN all honesty Ebay +nightshift is sending me broke, and 99% is stuff for one of my cars -
diagnostics is in the manual and a howto in the DIY/howto thingo on here

So has Anyone done this am thinking of trying to fit a defi 52mm Fuel pressure gauge where my stock boost gauge fits I have a controller and defi boost guage fitted by the previous owner Plan on leaving the oil temp and volt stock for the time being, maybe change later if I can be bothered Have oil and boost pillar mounted and hide 52mm Fuel Pressure wher the stock boost was Can anyone confirm it will work/fit???

If you have an auto u have no flywheel, lol, u have a torque converter have you considered a hi-stall converter matched with a good cam and tune They are bound to give some assistance in launch of the line. The basic Idea being to stall the car up at higher revs where it is making more power torque and if grip permits quicker launch's follow Most auto Drag cars use modified converters talk to a decent auto shop an they may be able to advise. And yeah some interesting Stuff in this thread

Mate the Nismo AFM's are on special at the Moment through Nengun.com and are available locally to just jap etc. I think the ones S.Kid is refering to are homebrew Custom type jobbies. (I could b wrong) Nismo's are standard gtr sized as well I am in the same boat, thats why I brought em most others dont have the dramas I am and if you buy new I doubt u would either, especially with CRD doing your tuning
-
Also keen on GTR ones why they so hard to find at resonable $$$$$

Thanks for that sure I can work it out with a multimeter anyway but That will make a bit easier though so cheers.

Rb26dett - 2860-5 - Fueling Options
noone replied to Adam Kindness's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Yeah thanks B.Baron I thought it was slight overkill but all good an yes Sard injectors seem a definite bargain, huh! The sard reg might be the go was seriously thinking bout a fuel pressure guage (in car) so maybe Would a stock reg be maxed out trying to feed 700cc injectors, dont wanna skimp on fuel supply just wondering for couple a hundred for new reg probly not worth the risk anyway -
Okay for the help of others who like me ask questions without searching I found this thread http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...hl=testing++afm Not the correct pinouts for an rb26dett ,at least I dont think Will post them up too if I can find em, or if you know feel free to post!!

Rb26dett - 2860-5 - Fueling Options
noone replied to Adam Kindness's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Beer baron do the sard 700cc injectors need collars or no was looking at doing either exactly the same as you are suggesting or going all nismo including the 600cc injectors. I thought u could attach a pressure sender to the nismo reg too, am I wrong there. Do you think they would be capable of providing fuel for such a setup or possibly to small was only looking at gt-ss myself. yeh I know this is probly covered elsewhere but it seemed somewhat relevant to this discussion -
No expert with audio but a continuous earth is gonna be better than one with joins in it. Even if it is a distro block>

So does this mean there is no easy way to test these?

Is It Safe To Run 92% Duty Cycle On Stock Injectors
noone replied to R33GOD's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
not wanting to hijack your thread but I was told it was also bad to run to big injectors as it can make it harder to tune can anyone confirm this, as the prices seem to be the same in some brands up to 1000cc -
do they make GTR ones?
-
not being a smart ass but they are fairly common sizes u probly find falken make a few different tyres in those sizes which r u looking at www.1010tires.com has alot a info and reviews of different tires from lotsa brands though we all know american cars dont handle and have no brakes so dont know if you could trust there reviews.k or post back with model and brand and size u might get more help

Nismoid Actually not real sure HOW to test em, was thinking could try doing it temporary as quoted above from the guy I brought em off but dont have access to anythin to measure air fuel ratios? Is there another way ie. multimeter etc. and yeah dont really wanna go Z32's thats why I brought the nismos to begin with seemed a much neater option then repipeing to suit Z32's
-
Oops double post

Can anyone confirm SydneyKid's suggestion above (not meaning to doubt ya mate) and actually tried it with nismo AFM's looking at the graph above and gestimating (I cant read Japanese) which is which meter they do look awful close. Does going to an 80mm AFM ieZ32 make alot a difference to flow or is that only going to be an issue with monsta power that I dont have and probly wont anytime soon. The ARC induction box is so nice though
-
Yeah got the car back and for the fairly stockish state I was quite happy and picked up quite a bit with the PFC and still running stock AFM's So I dont think there is anything wrong with the PFC and I had the graph and table thingo above, thanks, the tuner was given those when I took it in to tune and said he had tried those settings with no luck? He amits he isnt sure whats going on with them and said that with even with heaps (200%) on the injector values he still couldn't even get it to idle without being lean as. He suggests not using em anyway and going with z32's when I need em but as I just fitted an ARC induction box I really dont wanna use 80mm AFM's as I would have to modify the box and this may not be possible due to the design of the box etc. and I really like the box Kinda pissed off about it all there is 1 other tuner in town who i havnt used but have heard some good stuff about might even speak to him too. Spoke via pm to the SAU member I brought them from and he assured me they were working for him when he tested em by doing the following "i went into the menu in the power fc that allows you to advance timing and injector values accross the whole map (these are only temporary and are wiped as soon as the car is turned off) and put in about 130% or so.By doing that the car idled at 15:1 and was rediculously rich on boost (we had a wideband sensor installed to map the afr's.) " Being a little new to the whole PFC thing I assume that this was along the lines of what My tuner had been trying only he ended up at 200% (as I stated above though probably using the wrong terminology)and still no go? Not sure quite what to do ???? Am I wrong in thinking they could be checked with like a multimeter etc or no? Spose it cant hurt to go have a chat to his opposition (the other tuner) and see what he thinks but thus far these guys have done okay by me so dont wanna seem to be backstabbing or anything, its a fairly small town and word gets around you know what I mean.
-
Yeah shoulda brought new I guess planned on upgrading fuel supply and turbos real soon hence the nismos
-
Do all powerfc's have nismo afms as an option thought that they were set as z32 and a correction table used. Have I been misled on that? Car isnt here so cant check at the moment.
-
Half a day May have been an ever so slight exaggeration on my part, Dont have a whole lotta choice in tuners where I am living, and as I only had a quick chat with his offsider (he was trying to get the car sorted) I will reserve my judgement till I chat to him personally in the morning. Was just trying to get a bit of imput on what may be wrong and if there is anything we have missed in the basic setup, personally thought put in correction table, tune away easy as ? Not sure? Roughly how long do you think it should take to setup/tune a power fc from scratch? It has only the normal light bolt on mods exhaust pods(soon to be replaced with a box damnit) boost controller highflowed turbos etc.?
