  1. Having my 32GTR tuned today power fc and nismo AFM'S I brought of a member on here Tuner wasted ages trying to get the Nismo's to work set as vg30's in the powerfc tryed to use the correction tables etc supplied with the meters no go running lean as even at idle is there some sorta trick to make these work, Have I just been ripped off any one got any ideas will post up some more details after I pick up the car in the morning and have a chance to chat with him a bit more. Frustrating with all the time trying to sort the Nismo AFM's and then retune with the stockers it took all day. Is there any easy way to test these out with a multimeter or something pretty unhappy really.
  2. So does anyone know how to unlock a powerfc getting mine installed tomorrow and tuned damn will be spewing if its locked can I reinitialise it maybe to reset it to stock with no lock? anyone know?
  3. maybe some people just cant drive properly yet..... best place to learn is on the track, really it is! Nobody is gunna pick on ya for being to slow if ya just out doing lapsprints or whatever, try it ya might like it. I found it a real eye opener to see how the car handles at the limit. Doesnt need major mods or anything to be fairly quick an lots a fun. Put fresh (decent) oil in, go have some fun!
  4. Last track day at hidden valley N.T. nissan's 200sx,180 sx, laurel, my 32GTR, R31 in attendance + Subaru gt forrester + others I cant remember or didnt race against. have to admit what others have said about costs, daily drivers & most of all time is valid though, know a couple of others who would have happily been out there if it wasnt for work getting in the way of there fun. (hell I missed a motorkana thingo saturday coz of work ) And lets face it, it aint a cheap game either my new (by most peoples standards) tyres are only just legal after 2 track days and a motokana in pissing down rain and realisticly (?) will be needing replacement after drags next week. So some of us race, most would given funds and oportunitys, some pose (there choice what to do with there cars) some have prioritys more show based, each to there own.
  5. guess there are no takers shame I woulda really liked one
  6. Thanks mate that confirms what I had suspected, cams I ordered wont make it to me before the dyno time I have booked so will be able to post good before and after cam type dyno sheets for all to see. Would have liked to put em straight in though with all the other bolt-ons and powerfc but just isnt going to happen.
  7. Yeah Ronin always get those numbers ass about will edit above post
  8. thanks for your help as I stated havnt yet taken turbos off YET so am just more than anything wondering if these holes are threaded etc. think I can probly make a bracket OK or slot the damn holes "without disaster" I just assumed at first read these holes would be threaded for the oil return lines yet others have stated they elongated the holes was curious as i thought you would have to get a good seal so as to not have oil going everywhere guess not.
  9. Offence taken Just jokes pretty sure mine r h3c's and wasnt quite sure these were did u have to modify anything to get em to work thought h3's wern't quite the same dont have the wire and spade terminal for the negative maybe For the record brought some H3C's from the local supercheap so u can get em most just dont keep in stock
  10. Thanx thats what I had thought from what I have been reading on here, will they be a bit laggier or much if a muchness if tuned right (assuming you may have done this at some time so might know), a bit new to TURBO cars so not so sure I suspect tuned right they may even help eliminate some lag due to better/more flow cylinder filling etc. Is that a possibility or have I missed the mark completely
  11. Okay havn't had my turbos off YET so wasnt sure just thought drain holes would be threaded, slotting seemed like it could result in leaks I am assuming that isnt the case. These sound like the go though little bit more lag than stock but capable of heaps more up top with the 2860 -7 and abit more lag than "-7's" with heaps more up top for the 2860 -5's Just to clarify can I make a bracket change lines to avoid the need to slot the holes? Is there any point avoiding it ie. does it leak or anything if u do?
  12. Dmn your image is no longer working for slotting? It just sounded a little well ...........................................rough. edit image is back again?
  13. Got highflowed stockee turbos and was considering dropping in cams and cam gears, or just cam gears on the stock cams would it be a waste of time. Just a stop gap move really as plan for a rebuild at the end of the year with new turbo's etc. etc. Would poncams make it more or less responsive on such a setup if dialled in right?
  14. Didnt think DEFI made em for skylines only suby's and they mount flat on top of dash. Have been looking for one of these for ages any info much appreciated. PM if you wanna keep it secretish
  15. So um, $450 per set is a fairly persuasive argument... Yeah Good point!

  18. other than costs is there any reason not to got 18's for track work. Run 18 inch rims and street tyres am considering getting another set for use as track day tyres an running some decent tyres looking at most of the tyres mentioned above as possibilitys.
  19. could you pm some pics
  20. Dont mean to hijack your thread But are you running things like brake cylinder stopper braided front lines etc. bloke I know running a HSV at track days he found that upgraded pads and then brake lines (the following meeting) transformed his brake feel and helped his times. while a very different car to a GTR it is also a heavy moderatly powered car, like ours. Myself I am looking into doing both as am still running stock (suitomo?) gtr brakes on my 32 with hicas deleted, little better brake feel gotta be good for confidence/time improvement, I know the addition of decent pads an ap racing fluid transformed my brakes (at least as much as could be expected) Just my 2cents. Am no track day expert or anything.
  21. I think I need a coffee after reading that maybe I will just have a beer instead and forget about it hicas ecu aint that heavy
  22. U would be planning to check it out on the dyno to make sure safe Air Fuel Ratios an all that wouldn't u Would beg borrow or steal to get the uprated injectors and pump at least!
