  1. Childish opinions hey? That's pretty funny. I'll take that as a compliment. I'm 46. As I said, it was just my opinion, no need for you to get your panties in a twist. I've lost count of the number of GTR's I've seen over the last 12 or so years that are OBVIOUSLY not matching in the way the car looks compared to the numbers on the odometer. Very few have GENUINE proof of mileage. A friend of mines 1995 GTR was sold in 1999 with 55000km on the clock, then I see it for sale in a Sydney car yard with different gauges and only 34000 kms on it. TEN YEARS LATER!!! Nearly as bad as the number of super hektik ( built in my back shed ) modified 350+ kw/atw ( standard engined ) GTR's out there. Seriously, how long do you think they'll hold together for? As I also said, I'm NOT directing these comments at this car as it looks very very good and if it has a genuine $10000 built in Japan motor would be fairly well priced as well.
  2. Hahahahahaha. On a GTR. LOL. 99.999% of GTR's have bullshit odometer readings. I love the way everybody selling one can seriously believe that their 10 - 20 year old car has only less than 100000 kms on it. Tell him he's dreamin. Aftermarket gauges, visibly misaligned numbers on the standard odometer. Hilarious. P.S. I'm not directing these comments at this seller, just a general opinion. This one looks pretty good from the photo. Some interior and engine shots would help.
  3. 340 kw atw @ 30% throttle sounds "adequate". LOL Should be a weapon. Will be nice to see what sort of power curve this animal has.
  4. Call Jorge on 0412 629 171 or 3133 3597. He is my mechanic and very honest, Jorge will send you to his RWC guy who is based in Slacks Creek on the southside.
  5. Fantastic result mate. Very very impressive. What sort of time is needed to perform that level of restoration and roughly how many $$$?
  6. There is and always will be MORE dickhead drivers than there are cops doing the wrong thing. Every single day I lose count of the number of morons on the roads who drive as if they are the only ones on it. f**kwits who think it's fine to play with their phones, oblivious to all around them and then get the shits when you tell them to wake up because they're swaying all over the place 10kmh slower than everyone around them. Half the population must have broken indicators and have no idea how to merge or drive through a roundabout.
  7. I've seen this car at QR and the paint code should be "Retina Ripping Flouro Yellow". Looks close to safety vest flouro yellow. Very bright.
  8. What would be a rough estimate of how much this 8 second 'kit' would cost? Just in case my lotto numbers ever come up.
  9. It's obviously too expensive or it would have sold by now. Have you tried the Ford forums?
  10. My God there are some morons on this forum. Opinions are just like arseholes. Everybody has one. What's more dangerous? A drunk/drugged driver, some phuckwit texting/looking at their mobile phone whilst driving, a p plater doing 20kmh over in the rain in a shitbox or an experienced driver in a very capable car nailing it for all of the 2.5 seconds it probably takes to get from 100 to 140 in a lot of the cars we own and drive ( being part of a forum such as this ). I have spent a large proportion of my life ( for the last 28 years ) driving in city traffic watching total phucking dickheads who have no apparent commonsense and shouldn't have a licence put peoples lives at risk failing to complete the most basic actions behind the wheel. The least of my worries is a capable driver in a capable car giving it bit of a squirt at the right time and place.

  12. What's the history on the original build of the car/motor? Internals, built in Japan etc.
  13. just curious to compare with what I've seen on carsales. The wife is dead keen on one of these around the $35000 mark. looking to buy in two-three months. If you have some decent photos could you please send them to [email protected] cheers Chris.
  14. staggering. worth every cent...and then some.
  15. also depends on how you drive the car. obviously track days, drags and regular fast driving will increase wear and tear as well as costs. the gtr's generate a lot of heat under the engine bay ( fit an oil cooler and remote filter ) and you have to pay close attention to all the hoses, wiring looms etc as they can be prone to damage quicker than a normal car. same thing applies if you have coilovers and modified suspension components as these will come under a lot more stress than a normal car. prevention is a lot cheaper than a cure for these cars, but if you take care of it, then a gtr should be very reliable and a hell of a lot of fun for a long time. not buying a dodgy pos is the most important tip.
  16. those two hoses are the breather hoses to the catch can. 42k mileage on current nismo odometer PLUS approx 20k on nissan original odometer as per previous post from past owner when he had it for sale with 37k on it. so you've only done about 5k in the car since you've owned it? I can believe that, since in the 5 years of ownership of my 33 I only put 16000 kms on it driving it once a fortnight to golf and rarely on the weekends ( wifey didn't like the coilovers or acceleration ). one of the cleanest GTR's I've seen. do want.
  17. yeah I suppose it would come on better with some cams but then you'd probably need bigger injectors and.... away it goe$. bloody coppers down your way would be all over it too i'd imagine. I've already dragged the wife in to show her my drool marks on the monitor. she understands my desire BUT *........... ( * insert some words that she said that I totally ignored and can not remember ).
