Thanks to all for organising, was a great day. Froze and lost feeling in my legs at one stage while out on the back track, but it was a great spot to be, only had to move a few cones back a couple of times, and I think I managed to get pics of most of the cars on either indian file or 80% of the back track, they are just uploading now. It was great that the rain held off too! Pity about the turn out for tea, would have been nice to have let Bec know if you were only coming for drinks & were going to be late, but we had fun anyway. Bec, please count me and Luke as DEFINATES for tea this time around - Shell is coming from Canberra and I promised I would have a margherita with her. One of us will stay sober and drive home after dinner at this stage so wont need accom (whoever draws the short straw lol) EDIT: Whoops just read first page and see you already counted us hehe

Hi Martin, Count me in again. Only catch is I am only available half a day this time, have to scoot around 12-12:30 at latest for my nephews birthday. Happy to do long wang in morning if you guys want, but if theres no one who can cover me for the last 1/2 hour to an hour that it's running I might be better off on the skidpan in the morning - at least then I can get one of the people who arent driving at the time to fill in for me. (From past events long wang normally finishes about 1 I think??) Happy either way - I will leave it up to you guys. Cheers, Anna

Does anyone know who this person is in the media vest filming/taking photos? If so can you let us know please, Would love to see some footage they have! Very impressed with the HP Heaven photos from the event, I received my DVD today and there are some great shots!

What a great day! We were the last to leave due to loading up etc, but from what we heard people saying they were happy with the amount of runs they were getting and that the weather held out. For those who left early, you missed an AWESOME head to head battle between the white rexy and Luke's white NUTR33 skyline, Luke said he could see him out of the corner of his eye preety much the whole way down the strip! The rexy won by 0.2 of a second or something ridiculous like that! Then they raced again, and the rexy broke something (He thought possibly in the diff) and ended up doing a 19 second pass, but it was good to catch up with him at the end of the day and see he was still smiling, even with broken bits! I think someone said they filmed it so hopefully it will be up here soon. We learnt an important lesson about tyres, they are everything at the drags! Thanks to organisers and those who helped on the day Im in the process of uploading a few vids and pics so when I get the chance Ill post the links here. Cheers, Anna

Thanks to all for another great DECA Im finally defrosted! That wind was bloody icy! I had fun volunteering, and lost my voice at the end of the day when I gave starting a go in the battles lol only lasted 5 battles! Cant wait to see vid of Lukes (Nutr33) last run, we're now up for new tyres - d'oh, but theyve had a good life(lasted a few deca's) and I think he had fun - and with me shouting "OK Thats enough now, I wana go back now, AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH" Just egged him on more lol. (Though he claims he didnt hear me ) Look forward to the next one!

Can I also do some of the shouting(aka starting) in the arvo? lol Always wanted to give it a go, Luke says I never shut up so I reckon I'll be good at it

Provided money is OK, Count Luke and I in for dinner that night We will organise our own place to stay incase we pike it early lol!

I'll do the usual Long Wang in AM and then if needed Skid Pan in PM

Thanks to all the organisers and other volunteers for a great day. Looking forward to helping out at the next one! Im currently uploading all my pics to flickr then I'll post the link, trouble is silly me decided I would upload them in full quality for everyone to just save rather than email asking but I had over 150 photographs and its been running for 6 hours so far and only 63% complete lol, Im sure it will get there eventually.

Bugger we have a wedding and a 30th that day, will just have to renew the old fashioned way
