  1. "This extraordinarily strong spirit (95% alc/vol) needs to be treated with respect. It is questionable whether the human body is meant to digest such strong substances. Being effectively pure ethyl-alcohol, it is more commonly used in cooking, for medicinal purposes or by home perfume makers. One customer recommends it above all else as therapy for arthritic pain, and has been massaging his joints with it for years! At any rate, the premium price of this Pure Spirit goes some way to ensure it is used sparingly and thoughtfully. Drunk diluted & chilled it traditionally makes a fine accompaniment to fish dishes. 95% alc/vol " I was VERY VERY sick....Thanks Keiren (I think?) \

  9. C'mon, surely not everyone who is coming up for Deca will be driving?? At this stage with the lack of volunteers I am starting to wonder why the commitee bother putting the effort into organising DECA when they cant even get enough volunteers in advance and are left chasing people on the day. Maybe it will take a cancellation of DECA on the Saturday morning for people to realise we arent saying that the event will not run if we dont have the volunteers just for fun? Why should we be left chasing people on the day?? I've only been helping out a few years but each time we run DECA it peeves me off to no end the fact that Bec, Ryan, Wayne, Martin etc are all chasing around asking people if they can help on the day. It's not that hard to volunteer a few hours in the morning and get plenty of runs in the arvo with mates. /end rant
  10. Try your local trucking companies. We got an engine picked up in Adelaide and brought to the depot closest to us for under $200, and it was with 2 days.
  11. Well written response Ash. Will keep an eye out for the extended version. Birds,

  13. Sorry Martin, I will only be available for the morning and then the first runs after lunch and then I'll have to do a quick trip home to feed the pup, cant get anyone to puppy sit and no one will be home to watch him, and dont want to miss out on the shenanigans Saturday night C'mon guys and girls... Anyone bringing a girlfriend they can volunteer for a few hours in the arvo or a mate who would love to be up close with the action in the morning?? It really is great fun and a fantastic way to get to know others in the club and get involved, not to mention a free lunch, and some of the awesome photos that you can get from being a flaggy out the back I've volunteered the last few years at most of the Deca's (unless I have been sick) - heck I missed some of my nephews 3rd birthday last year because I was at a DECA day helping out! ... ok off my high horse now, just remember, without volunteers the day will not go ahead.

  19. Hi All, We have decided to try somewhere else this time around for the Saturday night dinner, not that there was much wrong with the GV, it's just nice to mix things up a bit When? Saturday 19th March, 2011 Where? Shepparton RSL - cnr Wyndham and Knight Street Shepparton (stumbling distance from the motel!) Time? 7pm onwards, Bistro closes at 9. We will do the same as usual, order and pay for your own meals/drinks. If you want to check them out they have a website, though the menu is not on there http://www.sheppartonrsl.com/index.html I have put a hold on a table for between 30-50 people. They had a bit of an "OMG" moment when I rang to book and have asked that I can let them know final numbers a few days before the event so I will need to know who will be there by Wednesday 16th March 2011 so that I can confirm the booking. Please post below if you will be joining us and I will add you to the list. Cheers, Anna Booking - SAU VIC Deca dinner Anna
  20. Aww I'll bet you're shattered that there will be no Friday night learning Yoga with the cowboy this time!!!! I'll be late Friday night, have to duck home first to feed the pets/ let the pup out for a run.
  21. Hamish, Is there anything else I can help with from down here in the sticks? Can only get a to a few meetings a year (distance is a pain) so wont be able to do much down there face to face, but have enjoyed helping with the motorsport committee. Maybe events assistant or committee helping role?? Cheers, Anna P.S Not stressed either way, but the offer is there
  22. Call me naieve, but what is an ABC shot?
