New years is a House party event. City is the worst idea anyone can think of!
-
HAHAHA!.. where did "S8" come from? And why is my other shaft marked with an "S4"? Anyone have any ideas on what these may mean?
-
well if you got a GTS4 why would you want to convert to RWD? If its for a simple dyno etc. you have to drop the front drive shaft. That will lock it in RWD. If you want to convert to full RWD (and please show me the logic) you need to: Change gearbox/remove tranasfer box - no harm is done if you want to leave it Change sump Remove drive shaft Remove all ATTESSA related lines/ecu/pumps But why would you bother?

Last bump before I let the thread die, Cheers

Can I get pic of JJR steering wheel? Ill take it. Cheers mate -
Thanks guys! What kind of music/people at escobar? Ill be sending out PM's as to when we will get into adelade if anyone is keen on a couple of runs. We will probably end up doing the ghetto thing and rolling out the yoga matt and sleeping bag somewhere, so I dont mind where we sleep.
-
Dang.. Adelade seems more like the ghetto more so than anything else!.. lol.. fire arm issues? Arrests? Stabbings? Fights? Well ill get the boys and girls to look this thread over before we leave, decide on where to go. Dont really feel like getting stabbed so we might stick with Swish and perhaps Electric Circus. I love my electro but some of the others may not enjoy it so much, so we may just go to Swish to steer clear of where not to go. We're lovers not fighters. We have no idea when we will get to SA, but we will definately be staying a weekend there, probably piss it up one night and tear up the hills a couple of other nights.

Your a champion Carl, Cheers mate!

Cheers Steve. Thanks for the help, much appreciated! CLUBS -hq - Hate crowded clubs with a passion -electric circus - Love electro. Ill have to see what others think -swish - 5 to 1 ratio? Can't go wrong! I think the other boys will want to go here.. their not huge clubbers. -the london - Flat out no. -bar rouge - Definately not. -red square - Less chance than Rouge -club 58 - Perhaps kick off there -wool shed - Dont mind country people, always a good yarn, but a little over it since I go to bathurst for uni -mars - Dunno.. lol. see how many drinks I had! bahahah Keep em comming guys! What roads are there to drive on? Togue roads?
-
hahaha.. no fair.. taking advantage of the new kid! lol.. no disrespect meant, but suddenly chicks with missing teeth seems better than a "hard night out" lol.. the puzzle comes together now..

IS there comething called "the Curchie"? "Church"? Something along those lines? An old church that was turned into a club? I'd like to go there, more so for the novelty. I have always wanted to go to a club in a church, big staind windows etc. And is it Lake Eyre that has the tryed out salt flats?

Hey Lads and Lasses! Well, to cut a long story short. At the pub. X amount of beers later. We began planning a road trip from Sydney to Tasmania looking to drive the best driving roads the East Coast has to offer. We then found Tasmania was going to cost too much due to the boat. So, we changed it to SA. 3 cars, 6 people. (12A Mazda Capella, Rb25 R32, 4G63 VR4) We are taking a little more than 2 weeks in January to give my mate enough time to finish a rotory conversion, give me time to finish a couple of projects and the third mate time to change a head gasket. I heard that SA has an awesome togue scene. Is this true? Care there many good twisties around Adelade? We also wanted to go to Lake Eyre. Is it accessible to the public? We were under the impression we could just rock up and have a play. Is this true? Where is there to drive to? What roads? We are looking for mountain passes, coast roads etc. Where are the common places where people gather to meet and drive to? We want to meet people, experince the scene, drive some different roads etc. So where are the popular places to go for a drive to? Cruise or spirited drive? Where to sleep? Any good places to go camping? We are sleeping where we can find to save money on accomodation. Is there any beaches? Where is there to go out to? Where is there to go get a good beer? Pub or clubs. Tips on where to go and what kind of music/people there are. We are all 20-21 so where would you guys recommend to go? What will I need? I am guessing many of you guys have gone for a road trip. Is there any tips you guys can give on what to bring? Some helpful hints to do some ghetto mods/repairs on the side of the road? Yes yes.. there will be many many cable ties (plastic and metal) and duct tape.. sooo much duct tape. Any ideas/tips/advice you guys can give please chip in guys! Cheers, Cris

Bad news. After trying to book the boat I found out it was going to cost $340 per person + car return. We decided it was going to be too steep. So, epic road trip gone to SA!. Bit of a shame, we would of loved to drive tas, perhaps in another year. Thanks for ll those who helped plan! Cheers, Cris

Hey guys! I have two rb20 heads at home. The other day I began putting one head together by using the best pasts of both heads. Now, as far as I know both pairs of cams are stock. ~8mm lift. I noticed on one set of cams there were the markings "S4" (inlet) and "S7" (exhaust) Now on the cams off the other head on the inlet cam there is a marking "S3" and the exhaust has the amrking "S2" The markings are on the end of the camshaft closest to the firewall. Does anyone know what these markings mean? Im a little confused why both early model RB20DET's would have completely different markings on stock cams. Any info is much appreciated! Thanks guys, Cheers, Cris

Whats One Part To Enhance Performance?
GTS4WD replied to Tyson 1990's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
if you want straight line speed you shoul of bought a supra. Its quite hard to extract decent power out of ye old 25DE. But if you are hell bent on it. Go through the list I gave you. Its the cheapest and easiest way of getting a little more power out of the engine. An Apexi SAFC is simply an air fuel ratio computer which you can tune and adjust air and fuel ratios. They can be had for $200 odd. And installed and tuned for a similar price. So in total your looking at: $600 cams (new) $300 cam gears (new) $200 SAFC (second hand) $400 Lightened flywheel (new) You already have an exhaust - is it a full exhaust. CAI Thats a rough price guide. You will have to include labour (if you cant do the work yourself) Im simply answering your question. -

Also, lightened flywheel and lightened driveshafts to get the engine revving out quicker.
