  1. What Tiens are they? If they are hight adjustable then the mounting cup on the bottom of the coilover should be able to be wound up or down. Raising or lowering the car. If you are refering to the spring preload where by you compress the spring (between the top mount and the lower coil mount), effectively shortening it, you will lower the car but also increase spring rate, stiffing up the ride. Dont "lower" the coils. I haven't heard of what or how they do this but it sounds like chopping the springs, compressing them etc. All of which you dont want to do and will increase the stiffness. If your going to do it, to it right from the start and the ride quality will be much better and it will handle better. Go to a spring company and order a set of springs in the right length, inner diamater and spring rate that you want. You can usually pick up a pair of springs in your chosen height and spring rate for about $75-$100 each for something decent. Of course you can always spend more for better quality.
  2. I havent used any of the other listed rubbers, but this is what I can say about the Ecsta's. Have been involved with production car series for a bit now and never had any problems with them. We ran a commo R8 on 2 sets for the recent 6hour at Sydney and they held up well. The drivers did bitch a little about them going off, but when your hauling a fat pig like an R8 on rubber that you qualified with, you expect a little fading after a couple of hours of racing. They are a little suceptible to punctures on the saw toothed ripple strips on the inside of the tyre from what I have noticed. Be warey of of pressures too. They blister quite easily too. This is from what i have found through my experinces on a different car and set up to yours.
  3. Look at aftermarket UCA's. Different brands have different construction shapes which may accomodate your wheel
  4. Wise words. By having a very stiff swaybar in the front, during cornering, it will not let the inside wheel droop and you will have limited your tyre contact patch with the road. Very stiff swaybars will also cause alot of camber change on the inside wheel (again by lifting it up) and again, reduce tyre contact patch. Also bear in mind that a larger diameter sway bar that is hollow with thinner wall thickness is going to be lighter than its similar strengthed solid counterpart.
  5. As said before. You can only disconnect the 4wd system in the R32's electronically. In the 33 and 34 you must remove the front drive shaft. This is the shaft from your transferbox (the thing hanging off the drivers side of the gearbox) going up to the front diff.
  6. bump. No one wants an aftermarket rear bar???

  8. if buyer falls through, ill take it.
  9. Depends what your looking for. The main advantage of buying an aftermarket coilover kit is the adjustability. So you can adjust ride hight, whether it be for looks, or to get corner weights correct to balance the car. Adjustable dampers to adjust for different road surfaces etc. In all honesty.. unless your looking for the "tunability" out of your suspension.. aftermarket coilover set ups are a waste of money in my opinion. Otherwise dampers and srpings are sufficient.
  10. why is everyone so concerned with having a pissing contest in which car is quicker in a straight line!?! Buy the car you like.. and enjoy it because you like it.. not because its the fastest.. there will ALWAYS be someone faster.
  11. It doesn't seem like your very keen on your supra or else you wouldnt be questioning this. Fully with Shane, but if your not keen on the Supra, sell itm save money, buy a run about Rolla, and save the money and buy something decent in the future with an LSD already in it. OR. Get an LSD. Then turbo it down the track.
