  1. cheat and fit a bleeder to the 4psi setup post a pic of the actuators.
  2. easy conversion
  3. you will have no idle issues as you are using MAF.... not MAP. Your engineer is confused.
  4. looks pretty sweet apart from the plenum, has it got any science behind it? in my experience they all tend to flow terribly into 1 & 2. A quick check of the exhuast temps in runners 1 & 2 compared to 5 & 6 is quite big.
  5. individual is far better for what you are looking for, the single throttle body is usually used as an excuse by poor tuners using map based systems who cant tune around the vacumm/boost signal difficulties... or when crazy power is needed and the individual throttles become a restriction. because you are running maf tuned rom i would only change the plenum and retain the std individuals.... use metal gaskets and a phenolic gasket between head and throttles... makes a big differrence to inlet temps on the 26.
  6. i would say the only problem to worry about would be wear and tear just like any turbo... check the RB2 power thread above for more info... it is full of 2530 results. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Rb...yno-t93880.html
  7. better late than never damo has one for sale here- http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.p...howtopic=301506
  8. ignore the fact you have 555 and refer to the simple formula divide the original injector cc by the new injector cc. In your case 50%
  9. 100% yes.
  10. if your talking plenum use the NISMO item over the GREDDY one.
  11. that is not the d1 car but yes it was also tuned by ABE-san. I have engine reciepe some-where for that R348.... a customer wanted the same engine specs in a R32 GTR a few years back.... it ended up at PROTEK to get tuned but i lost contact and never got to see the final result. It had T618Z's on it... i would have prefered to see a T78, K6-900 or T88GK though. they now use MOTEC M800 as it lacked various niceties (extended peripheral datalogging) were not possible on the std ecu.
  12. yeah agreed Ray is about the only other person in vic i would trust with an emanage, he knows his shit.
  13. already have the certificates
  14. nah the brace just drives the two retaining bolts nicely into your rocker covers and if it was violent enough cracks the rocker cover.... but they do look cool.
  15. Td06l2 and 260 poncams all in by 3900-4100 depending on tuner easy 250-280rwkw, proven time over. Eat 2530's for breakfast.
  16. turbo is a gcg "special" 3076r with tial rear housing and surge slotted cover, 260rwkw on 14psi full boost by 3500rpm on a 2litre. i apologise but the info above is taken from another forum, I'm not personally sure on the exact specs but i saw the thing close up on the way back from QLD, we all stopped at Raleigh raceway for a quick thrash.... it is by far the best engineered car out there... bar none.
  17. that tial housing works well on Beau yates car thats for sure ^^^^ diff turbo though.
  18. killler setup i hope it works out, im sure it will with the guys your working with. I would swap out the 38mm gate though for something a bit bigger it is marginal at best with a 3037.
  19. contrary to the above comments the HKS 3037 is available in 3 trims 48, 52 and 56. built a killer 300+ rwkw CA18 for a guy in sydney (same guy has his black 300awkw evo in current fast fours, acyually its his mums but we did the receipe ) if i was you i would be looking at a genuine HKS GT3037 as the rear housing are far superior and on a small capacity engine will make quite a differrence (on skylines the differrence is measurable but the extra money vs gain is generally to small for many to warrant it) i do alot of SR20 engines and setups and can never match the Garrets resukts to the gen HKS items except in the real small GT-RS range. i would look at the 56trim 0.73 rear 3037S part number 1401-RA127 (450+hp) if it were mine i would run the 0.61 housing (1401-RA126) and live with a little less top end (420-440hp) and heaps more mid. the other option is to buy the garret version and fit the HKS housings which are about $400-500 US
  20. then there is nothing to tune.... but you could get it remapped by speedlab etc there in adelaide. best bet is to get a mate to help install it and set it up on the road. Best boost control settings are ALWAYS done on the road as a dyno CANNOT perfectley replicate road conditions.
  21. agreed, with injection you are always treading a fine line. Best to use better gear for peace of mind. i havent used it for about 10 years though.
  22. Hey if any sparkys are willing to do contra work for me i am more than happy to work out something. I am about to have 3-Phase and power points put throughout the workshop and would like to offer SAU guys the chance to get free labour, eng building or dyno tuning (brand new dynapack arriving late next week.) etc... if not i am happy to call in a contractor. Workshop is brand new and already has 3-phase lights etc and working power but needs 4 - 6 3phase sockets to be wired and wall mounted. It also needs about 12 power points to be set up along the walls and in the double story office area. if your keen email me [email protected] or call / SMS 0419590220
  23. they do nothing as the plate it bolts to on the engine flexes.... if it was an SR it actaully helps.
  24. yes they do, split pulse housings. check the sonic website and download the cat if you cant find any info.
  25. Yeah but that is with a .82 on the to4z, the K5 is currentley running .6ish housing... with the .85 i have seen 560rwhp. i under stand it is smaller and wont match it for out and out i just want to compare area under the graph... if it comes close to the top end but has more mid and low i know what to use on my next few builds instead of the To4Z... just put the new built engine in too; only a simple build.. ARP heads, mains, cam caps H-Beam rods GREDDY pistons (had JE but wasnt happy with crown design so used them in the spare eng ) 1.2mm GREDDY Head gasket GIZZMO phenolic isolator intake gasket King bearings Greddy Oil pump Tomei sump Baffle 1mm srew in Oil restrictor -10 Head to Sump drain. New valves, Buckets etc GREDDY valve springs New profile greddy procams only babies 264 IN / EX with small 9.7mm lift Cam Gears my new dynapack arrives next week so cant wait to wind her up a bit will do back t back with the 3 housings i have here
