thinking of selling the r33 and getting a BA xr8 in the new year.
im just after a newer car, with somewhat power and a nice cruiser. il probably just put a nice deep full exhaust on it and keep it fairly standard. And manual ofcourse.
what do u guys think of the BA xr8? or xr6t?
i dont care who my turbo was sent to. As long as it gets fixed im happy.
when it was working it was a fantastic turbo, but shit happens and its under warranty so meh
i dont know why but i just get put off. i just dont want it to break again. being bush bearing and all.
i just cant afford having my car off the road again. so il drop the boost to keep it safer
i just sent my slide hiflow back to be fixed. it blew and was only running 16 psi. throttle was no more than 1/4 when it went on me. hopefully when it comes back its all running fine. i think il set the max boost pressure to 15 this time just to be safe... well safer i hope
ok the turbo is now off the car. ive taken pics of the rear wheel. as you can see its still in tact. i turned the shaft and both wheels still turn. still pretty smooth but wobbly. and dont look like nothin went through it...
i got this funy thought that they wont honour the warranty for some weird reason. cause i spoke to them today and he didnt seem genuinley intersted when i said someone has had a look at it and mentioned its under watrranty. they looked at it unopened ofcourse
creatd motorsport tuned my car. and they are good. my car is in a1 condition engine wise and has all the supporting mods. pfc, injector upgrade, z32 afm, blitz fmic, tomei fuel pump all the usuals...
i dont understand how something can hit the blades where theres no way something could have gone in. like i said ive inspected everything. the shaft moves back n forth ,up n down pretty badly
i have. everything is clean and i got a new z32 afm. everything was tight. mate, it just stopped boosting and couldnt hear anything go bang. just a little tick. wasnt at full boost either
just a faulty turbz
i havent sent it up yet. im in the process of nearly removing it. its busted up pretty bad. front wheel is minced and major shaft play. on the dyno when it was tuned, the max boost it hits was 17.7 psi then drops down to 16.
i think this problem was brewing for abit now as i had made 240 rwk at 14 then 3 weeks later at 16psi where i got 231
ive got pics but im at work so i cant post them up.
yet to inspect the rear of the turbo as the exhaust is on still.
it has put me off upping the boost above 14
