  1. Mate there used to be a guy on here who made them up himself out of leather. I got some replacements for my old R33. Check these threads out: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Le...+boot&st=20 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Le...=handbrake+boot Pablo101 - http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/m33160.html - Not sure if it's the guy I bought from but meh, looks like the same thing.
  2. Haha! So this question just spawns more questions! ITZTRU - I don't know the size but I believe it's slightly smaller than the R34 wheel and retains the air bag. Munkyb0y - Not sure yet, but I'll keep you in mind when it comes time to barter.
  3. Hi guys, I lost my VIC Club membership status when I made a donation. The donation tag(banner) seemed to have replaced the membership tag under my avatar. I am also unable to access member forums. I just checked with Kaz and my membership renewal has cleared. Please help! Cheers
  4. Will this 350Z steering wheel fit on an R34 GTT? Any clues? I would love if it just slipped on like a glove.
  5. There is definitely a link between car make and behaviour. Whether it's because a certain car provides a lot of power for cheap so P-platers can afford and maintain them or whether it be the fact that some car enthusiast communities promote more responsible driving than others, just have a look at the difference between nissansilvia.com and skylinesaustralia.com members, the link is there. DISCLAIMER: I am not saying one community is better than the other, or is more responsible, but the two communities have completely different values. There is also a difference in the drivers of each make. In some people's industries it is much more acceptable to rock up to work sideways, yet in other industries people would call you a d1ckhead for drifting into the carpark. One industry might lend itself to Holden's and Ford's due to seating capacity and load capacity and some industries won't have that requirement. No one said that there isn't an understandable reason why Holden's are the most popular hoon car. The point is that FOR WHATEVER reason they are APPARENTLY but statistically the most popular hoon car. I don't hate commodore's I used to drive a fairly worked VL myself but to say there is no correlation is cr@p. It's all in the statistics and yes, us Nissan drivers are considered to be one of the worst.
  6. It's a very interesting point. I reckon the main factors would be: Age. Driving style. External/cosmetic mods/stickers/decals. Engine/exhaust note. Car type. The last point about car type... I think generally people are going to see Japanese coupes and associate them more with speed/drift/volume than some shit box VP commo. Nice topic, should provoke some debate ey.
  7. I get the same impression. Every make of car is going to have it's d1ckhead drivers, but for the most part, thanks to an awesome community, it's rarely the Skyline drivers hassling people or going out of their way to 'hoon'. Anyway, that is purely based off prior experience and skyline bias so it can be ignored! haha.
  8. Yeah, just a confirmation of what we all know. Unfortunately Nissan beat out the Honda's, Toyota's and Subaru's for 3rd place >.<
  9. Found this in The Age. Hopefully not a repost. http://www.theage.com.au/national/holden-t...80702-30ol.html Some of the stats: The top three 'hoon' car makes are: Holden: 47.3% Ford 16.9% Nissan 8.1% 44.6% of 'hoons' held a probationary license. Top three areas: Greater Bendigo 162 cars impounded Geelong 86 Naree Warren 74
  10. I have this issue with my R34, and can confirm that there was no improvement after I installed brand new splitfire coils and new plugs. Solution is as above, I drive with TCS off, although I would like to fix it.
  11. Sounds too good to be true.
  12. Now that's what it should look like!
  13. Same here... Thuy has always done his best to beat the competitors and at the same time, he pays all the import taxes so there is zero danger of getting caught by customs and being stung for tax.
  14. That would a fast delivery in Nengun speak Good luck with them speeding it up.
  15. What's your secret!? If Nengun were always that fast I might never have found J-Imports.
  16. Nengun have been slow for as long as I can remember. It is a combination of processing and stock availability. On the one hand it can take them up to 2 weeks to even begin to process your order(that's the worst case I have experienced) and on the other hand Japanese brands often take a long time to deliver products. Most of these import parts businesses do not keep a massive stock on site, due to limited space availability and high rentals in Japan, so they are left at the mercy of the suppliers. That is what I have found in my experience. Cheers.
  17. I can confirm that Hamish was just trying to beef his post count up.
  18. +1 for J-Imports Edit: Nengun are great, but I agree they are VERY slow. Greenline are good, but email is a pain in the ass as Hamish said. I have had good experiences with Slide also.
  19. I agree up to the "pussiest exhausts alive" bit. I run the HKS silent hipower system, it's not an exhaust I would recommend if you want loud++. Good for me though, I wanted an exhaust that would handle a certain power level, and if it was reasonably quiet that was a plus too. I think it's just on the dB limit with my mods. It does have an awesome note though, great sound, just not stupidly loud. Why invite more attention from the coppers?! Up to you though.
  20. Not sure why it would be a problem for this thread to disappear... Slide did the right thing in the end, but if you didn't read past the first few pages you wouldn't know that... You would need to read to the fourth page to get to the positive result. Is that really fair to Slide?... I would say no, but hey it's just my 2c.
  21. Love em all! 32 - Classic, almost ageless, looking at phenlines first pic... that is beautiful. 33 - Big and tough looking, phat and fat. 34 - Love the flashback to the pronounced lines, and also the toughest looking of the lot. Something to really compete on the world stage in the looks dept. In reality though, the R35 does make them all look dated whether you like the new shape or not.
  22. Who cares what style people define your car as... if you like it, that's all that matters, and if you like it, chances are someone else is going to like it too. We all drive ricer cars, given that this is a Skyline forum and the term rice refers to the Japanese car scene... but who cares? Not me.
