  1. My fuel economy is fine with 800cc injectors provided I don't constantly lean too hard on the throttle. Mr33 is 100% correct in saying bigger injectors just allow for more headroom.
  2. Got that one, but thanks! reserved while I get more info...
  3. Yes I know I know... I am torn whether to fix it or just keep the fireworks, but I would like to know the problem heheh
  4. Just got my car back from the tuner after some major installation work, including new turbo, afm, injectors, cams, etc. I am extremely happy with the power output and response and the tune in general. After lots of dyno runs we haven't been able to figure out the latency required for the injectors. The guys tried everything from positive latencies through to negative latencies. We have settled on what appears to be the standard for these injectors, 1.6ms, however the injectors seem to be dumping a bunch of fuel whenever I come off the throttle, which is igniting in the exhaust. Anyone have any probs with these injectors in the past? Anyone know of a more appropriate latency for these injectors? I have done a bit of research on the web and all I really come up with is 1.1ms or 1.6ms and both of these were tried and still result in issues.
  5. My only comment would be if you're going for 220kW, which quite possibly means a new turbs, why not go for glory and max out the internals at 260kW+?
  6. Nice one Haines. What kind did you install? Was it expensive? Where did you install it? SMIC spot? Cheers.
  7. +1 I would also be keen to see the answer to this.
  8. 13psi he said... I know what I think it would be at 13psi, but no point... get your tuner to tell you tomorrow
  9. By all those exclamation marks looks like you're leaning towards the first one
  10. Congrats on the new skyline and nice work mate.
  11. Dynolicious is pretty cool but only ported to iPhone at the moment as far as I know. Can't wait to get my car back on Monday to give it a proper go. Tried it out in my friends Golf GTi today and was pretty impressed. I am sure it's not 100% re power readings but still a cool novelty! Nice to play with between hands of Texas Hold-em On another note, thoroughly impressed with the GTi, drove it out to the airport today and it was a good drive. Pretty quick stock out of the box
  12. Blue smoke is normally a pretty good indicator... take it to a mechanic, he'll give you better advice than me. Other than that I'll let someone with more knowledge on here than me give you some ideas.
  13. Sounds like your motor is burning oil so could be rings and valve guides. So now you and the mad scientist have to rip apart the block and replace the piston rings you fried.
  14. Cheers Tomek. I hate snapping screws and studs, such a pain at least it wasn't two on the same coil! Good luck getting those fixed and I hope the screws are the problem. No one deserves to drive a car for months troubleshooting a miss like I did! >.< heheh
  15. Final update for the guys who were helping/interested: Took it down to Creatd and after some initial worries about the motor they changed the coil loom and problem solved. Apparently there were some other unrelated issues as well but the misfire is gone and the turbo's installed. Injectors/brakes/cams/cam gear going in shortly. Should get it back Monday with quite a few extra horses and some better anchors! Can't wait Thanks everyone.
  16. I reckon the Buddy Club Spec II would be scary loud on an RB
  17. Voted a bunch of times... good luck.
  18. Ahh cmon, It's just as you said mate.. light hearted banter! My Dad drove one of the old school 300ZX's back in the day... all my mates thought it was Kit from Knightrider!
  19. "Nissan says that the fuel cell X-Trail could reach production by 2015. By which time the prototype may have completed another lap."

  21. NA = Naturally Aspirated = No forced induction = No turbo. Often also means smaller brakes, different diffs, different wheel stud patterns, weaker gearboxes, etc as it doesn't need to be designed/built for the extra power associated with the turbo.
  22. I'm sure he'll post in this thread soon enough as he's a wh0re but PM joeyjoejoejuniorshabadoo. He has just finished an R33 running 265kW with the mods mentioned in this thread, turbo was HKS 2835. No rebuild, with an awesome tune. The car is super responsive and the tuner has suggested that it will run like clockwork for a long time. His low boost is 245kW which seems mild enough for the street and his high boost at 265kW is brilliant. To add to the mods above, do some work on your suspension/handling. You won't regret it. I am about to do the same thing in an R34 with a desired output of about 275-280kW. Newer motor and cams are really the only reasons why I am looking for a bit more. Good luck mate.
  23. Nice club vibe we got going here...awesome.
  24. HUH? It's just a pain in the ass removing an AWD system, when you could buy a more common RWD version. I know it can be done, I am not stupid as you seem to think. What I wrote is that it is 'Not Ideal', meaning that it is not the easiest route to having a drift setup. Was there really any point to flaming me? You have a bad day today, champ?
