^^ Sounds to me that the gentlemen at Vic Roads said that by doing Dirk Diggler's 3 mods he was only making 1 intake modification in their interpretation, the other 2 mods were purely upgrades of factory parts to aftermarket. An FMIC is an FMIC, it doesnt matter what brand, a pod is a pod, regardless of brand, etc, etc. What time was this meant to be happening? I want to know how it went!

(This ones probably been answered on here before many times) Can we record the conversation when pulled over by the police? For instance, in almost every case you hear about imports being pulled over the police officer attempts to intimidate the driver. This, if used as evidence in court, could well be used against the police officer. This is a tool we should have in our arsenal to stop unfair treatment. Double post oh noez.

Well there's a question right there I reckon. When pulling someone over for a defect, how are the laws applied? Are ADR's taken into acount as well as state law? Are they weighted? Which is "heavier"? I dunno, just quickly off the top of my head.

That's where they get ya Compliance of CF bonnets obviously depends on your local laws and if the one you replaced the factory bonnet with doesn't comply then you're pretty SOL. An example of which was said above, a Chinese made Z-tune knock-off is most likely not compliant.

The plate/sticker with the offset should be pretty easy to find on Ray's wheels. I forget my offset all the time so I am constantly checking it out Offset is everything!

This ^^ is my understanding as well. I thought a competent lawyer would have laughed at this. I certainly did. Do they need to take you to court to remove your ability to get/keep your license? I think they do. They don't need to go to court to financially blacklist you. These are the things I would imagine could happen, but prison or paying the fine again? Legally, I don't think they can do it. If this even made it to court let alone resulted in a finding against you it would be a sad day for the Australian legal system. Write your letters and get as much professional advice as possible. It'll work out. Good luck.

It would be a perfect opportunity to pull over a bikie on his Harley, so I don't know why they would turn a blind eye. Makes it easier to target members of bike gangs for something. You know the old pull the suspected murderer over for jaywalking because we have nothing else on him routine or for an example even closer to home pull a skyline over for being too low or for having wheels that are 'too big' so that they can get a look under the hood. Rumour and speculation had led me to believe that Harley's and certain touring bikes had a factory exemption for the 90dB noise limit. Disclaimer: I could be wrong!

Oh... and If I had the disposable income I'd probably buy a different euro beast AND have a tricked GTR for the track (you know because if I have half a mill sitting round to throw away on a car, then I probably have enough to buy a couple of cars)... but still a very nice car all round.

I have never seen Terry so worked up before! I think it's a good idea that would probably take some kind hearted individuals like DirtGARAGE to instill the attitude in others. A hard task, no doubt. R34 GTR seats (read rails) do not fit into R34 GTT's without modification. I tried, gave up and bought Bride's. Just sayin'. Good luck mate, looking good so far.

(This is 11-12 odd years ago now so I am not sure if you can still do it.) My instructor came along for the ride on my P's test and sat in the back seat. He was well known by most of the examiners in the area. It just so happened he knew the examiner I got and they proceeded to spend the whole test gas-bagging to each other. I don't think the examiner gave a shit if I did the right thing or not. Try that! Works everytime.

What's the big deal anyway P-platers? Wait till you're off you're P's. I didn't own a turbo sports car until I had my license and I dealt with it, and you can too! Gotta love the hypocrisy of the road laws!
