  1. Henry are you saying you have the r33 one modified for the cef already? If so can you take a photo I'm still a little lost as to what Eps was suggesting. (I'm slow ey).
  2. I don't think the RTA will care if your front bar is chopped.
  3. $50 and Cromer. I'm in. I'd like to get on a dyno I can go back to to checkout any mods I do. Using UAS (pennant hills) as a regular dyno just ain't practical (too far). So if my car hasn't spontaneously combusted by then I'm definately in.
  4. :aroused: if only i won the lotto. i'd purchase said car.
  5. That's not correct at all. Japan has so many cars there is no commodore equivalent.
  6. Damnit Funk. Dundas ain't that far from me. ... Well.. it is but atleast it's closer than some whackos live Lemme know if he changes his mind
  7. what subs and what amp are they? do you have model numbers?
  8. I'm very interested. Could you please show a link to what it looks like or atleast which model/release year? I think I've seen a few of these and wondering if it's the "Dual SBC" Type R or R Type or wahtever they call the dual solenoid one. If it is can you estimate how many km's it done on your car, what boost was it running beforehand and if you bought it new? Also can I pickup? Thanks mate. [edit: is it this? I'm assuming the one on the left as you said it's dual solenoid???---]
  9. Ah now I get it. Pics
  10. I might have to look into that Busky thanks for the heads up. Thing is currently the camber plates on my car are set to max camber. I'm assuming this is around 5-6degrees. It feels really nice around tight corner, not so great at speeds or medium corners but the little ones it just slinks into. RE: the tyre wear I don't think it's that bad? I guess it's not an everyday everyday driver but it gets driven quite a bit and yet my tyres aren't that bad?... I went through the front tyres in my barina from 0km to 6000km on metal. What's "bad"?
  11. Hmm if it's one wire I'll find it. As for installing another motor I'd like to see how it was done. Is autotrust in Vic or NSW funk?
  12. **** that I feel for ya man that's just ****ed up. I hope ya get it back or atleast if you can't have it back the car kills the thief. Just out of interest did anyone know you were going to park it there? I mean ... it DOES sound like they were really lucky or knew/heard it was a tough car. Still.. either way it's ****ed up. Good luck.
  13. Aww c'mon champ. HKS Step 1 264's or some Tomei poncams. I've got the rocker arm stoppers sitting on my bookshelf ready to help. As for ebc I'd be happy with a blitz type R. Surely someone out there wants to sponsor
  14. I got dibs Nic but if you wan't my non-pimp type one then I'd be happy to pass that on
  15. That makes sense. Looks like I might have to execute my plan to "fix" the auto lock thing and still retain full central locking feature. Just out of interest how'd you put the driver side motor in? Is it hard? Where did you source it from? I need to put alarm in shortly
  16. THis may be a silly question but why would you do that to the PS2? I mean.. the only reason to mod a ps2 (in my mind) would be if you could download DVDR's indescriminatly, burn them and play them. Failing that ftp, avi's, mp3s etc you have a pc for ... so .. what gives? Not trying to pick I'm genuinely interested.
  17. So what did you have to do to make all doors lock with your alarm? Put in a motor? Just out of interest when you hit your central locking button in your door do all of the doors open and close? IF SO - Any chance you can have a look at your door consoles to see if there are any obvious wires unplugged?
  18. For some reason noone has ever called mine a sil. when i say it's basically a 4 door sil they either have no concept of 4 doors or they picture a silvia with 4 doors so i just tell them it's a family car then they nod... then they get it!!
  19. "What kind of skyline is that" - fair enough i have a sau sticker on my cefiro but I also have cefiro written on the back of the car "Streuth a 2 litre? This thing hauls." SRs = animals.. fair enough people don't always know 2litres can go. "What do you mean it's rear wheel drive?" ... no comment. "Those are 18's???" ... true.. my wheel look like they're 16. "Smoke it up!" I'm sure everyone gets that... WHY OH WHY DO YOU THINK I'M GOING TO WASTE MY MONEY ON YO!U?!!? "You look like you were going a little fast there." "that'll be the pipe from the front of the car looking faster than it is" "fair enough" heh heh it's true though was doing about 30kmh!
  20. I may have to try and find this amsoil one. Anyone find where to find them in Sydney yet? (When I say Sydney I mean Sydney... not 30-50km out of Sydney)
  21. hah adrnln. CEF11E mentioned to me you can unplug the central locking thing and it will stop it. Obviously then you lose the functionality of the central locking button - which I'd like to retain. One thing I have thought of is cutting that wire, then re-wiring the same wire from the actual drivers door lock (which is wired to central locK) and hook it up to the button. This way when you press the button it's the same as locking the drivers door (which will central locK/open). I would prefer not to re-wire stuff so if I can just zap the module that detects the speed or disable that wire (so the central locking module always thinks it's at 0km or the car is off) that would be ideal. The windows don't bother me as much as the door lock. Only because I have freaked out passengers and I get the shits with people trying to open doors while I'm pressing the button to unlock them.
  22. Cool. Just one quick question - does it always stick out past the lines of the headlights? would there be a way to get it flush or sunken in a bit?
  23. One man's feature is another man's quirks. I find them annoying. I have visions of me being stuck after rolling my car (heaven forbid) in a deathtrap fireball and being locked in... Atleast I'd be safe in the knowledge that people couldn't hi-jack (or rescue) me while I was locked in. And what's the deal .. how is locking all but the driver door stop hi-jacking? I don't see how a hi-jacker would go to try to jack me through the rear door Still.. Anyone know how to get rid of it? Slain I think it's been mentioned in a previous thread somewhere in this section how to rip the box out.
