  1. Any word on your car champ?
  2. Someplace on some main road of cabramatta or something. It was mad the discs were so freakin smooth it was smoother than some girls butts I've lic... err touched. There's also a good parts place around a couple of corners from that as well. Found 2 works 16x8 (doriftooo) rims there the guy wanted $200 with some crappy tyres on them. I though that was ok but I couldn't afford it at the time
  3. I reckon that kit looks great - ideally the rear spoiler would be smaller (kinda like the "drift" wings on some silvias). As for the omega kits i'm waiting till they hit production. too_much had my rear bar which they copied but they will be modifying it to make look "better". By the sounds of what too_much described it will look the goods. It will also comfortably fit aussie number plates. It's all subjective but I'll be happy to pickup a new set from them as my rear bar is cracking and my side skirts are almost non-existant. I will however be keeping my front bar as I love that thing (even though everyone says its over the top haha) I'm not sure if I'm allowed to divulge what the side skirts will be so I'll let too_much say as he's closer to the process than I. One thing I can tell you though from the descriptions he's given me it will be a great fit to the rest of the kit they're doing and my car. As for pics- not yet cos the kit aint in production. Lastly I will mention the bloke who owns/runs omega bodykits seems like a genuinely nice guy. As too_much has said the quality will be up there and judging by a few pics of kits they've done for silvias it looks great. (As I understand it the guy running omega was a business partner in fast action fibre and the other partner retired or split or something so now it's a new business called omega). The only complaint I have is there's some crazy bog on my rear bar now which doesn't look as good but I'm happy because it's stronger where there used to be cracks!! Either way. Resin - get the kit (not sure if I like the spoiler so if it was me I'd leave it off or I'd get the spoiler made or customised so it's like the one in the photo but only about 3cm (tiny))... So get the kit!! Noone in Aus has it and it looks great. Would look good with the wheels you got and in black.. Make sure your chrome is shining though!
  4. I have* gtr cooler on mine I didn't do the pipes nor did I put it in but if you'd like photos of where the pipes go I can take some when I get my car back in a couple of weeks (or so). [*edit: hate = have]
  5. Hey kursed didn't you boost it up a little? It'd be a good time to check AFR.
  6. Heh I'm down with the Vietnamese yo. eg. ceffo hooked me up with $6 a brake disc machining etc Still $170 can go **** itself. I think I'm getting the slat grill from Slain so I'll leave it at that for now. If I happen to stumble onto the skyline grill for cheap I might have a look at it again. Good to know what it is now though
  7. Usually the blue one will be to the amp. This will send a current when the HU is on (so your amp will be on the whole time your HU is on). Typically the power antenna up/down will only send current when the radio is on (thereby switching your antenna to go up when it's needed only). So use the blue one. As an interesting point my antenna up/down is always on. I hate that it's stupid.
  8. Hey that looks great and looks like it would let the air pass well. So it's a Series II grill or ...? I might just have to run around to find one...... just maybe... for the photo + suggestion
  9. Gday mate, Can't actually help myself but I'm getting some suspension work done by Cromer Exhaust Centre. I can't recommend these guys enough you should read my thread here from page 4 onwards re: them. If you can't find someone to do it for beer then try those guys on your way up/down to/from Gosford.
  10. Lemme know when you're doin that I'll join up as you pass me in on Warringah Road (since I live on the way to Cromer if you're goin down Warringah.) PS Pittwater road isn't the most direct route - I can't remember what it's called by there's a road that's way closer I can take you on if you wanna meet up on the way on Warringah (or I can cruise to Chaty thats cool too). As for food - 1- bbq seems unfortunately unlikely. 2- brookvale pino's pizza takeaway - maybe a couple of us could do a run down to grab the pizzas and come back for the other lads ? (I'm assuming 10 cars might take longer by which time we'll be hungry) 3- somewhere we all cruise to such as manly and grab a bite (little pizza place opposite the wharf bar?) 4- something non pizza.. ie run up pittwater road to avalon or something and get fish n chups? 5- drive back to chatswood and crash the yum cha place (downside is our cars will be in the car park) I like number 3 but I can see getting 10 spots near there might be a bit hard. Any other suggestions? too_much_boost - I'm hoping to crack 200 and on the curve hopefully get about 2000-3000rpm at over 180. I hope that's not being overly optimistic - and if it is I hope I get it Thing is UAS dyno said top run was peaking at 198.4 or something and since then I've put on the equal length exhaust manifold but put on a resonator. It'll be interesting to see what happens.
  11. Hmm I'd like to have one power run then remove my exhaust and swap with someone for a brand name air filter and do another power run. Wonder if it will make ANY difference. I will PM you. Procar.. middleton road... hmm that's right near Cromer Exhaust Centre - Good oh!
  12. Yeah I hear ya man not a pleasant feeling at all. How'd ya limp it? Half still stuck in I assume?
  13. Thanks nark for the pics. That makes a lot more sense now. Atleast I know what to point out to the guys at cromer exhaust. This sounds like something I would like to do. I managed to drop my tailshaft about 3-4 times in my XW. It's not a pretty good sound to hear that thing flopping around bouncing between your car and the ground while you lose power :boohoo:
  14. Funky that's a good idea. I might have a go at the alarm myself - then I can add a few extra tricks The door auto lock novelty factor is all good I'm just over when people go to open it they are like wtf.. then i have to hit the switch. Then if they're impatient they were trying to open the door when i hit the switch so then i have to hit it some more times. :uzi:
  15. Better safe than sorry. Unplug some shit too so they can't start it (I'm assuming being a drift japan car theres no alarm) and park it in a spot it can't be towed. I'd be paranoid.. but then again I always have been.
  16. So long as you bring it so I can see it! A dyno run would be peer pressured however
  17. I highly recommend Cromer Exhaust Centre - they don't have a dyno but for any other work they've been champs to me since I met them. Checkout my thread here to read about my experiences with em (page 4 onward i think).
  18. PS. Nic how many cars do we need for a dyno day? Or are they happy for us to just come down ad-hoc or ... what's the arrangements? It'd be nice to setup a bbq if there was enough of us and the facilities allowed it.
  19. As I said if you lived in Sydney you'd know  Seriously though - you know Manly? 15mins from there (about 6km) with no traffic. Chatswood? 20mins from there (around 10km) with no traffic. Ehm.. City ... 30mins from there (around 15-20km?) with no traffic. If you have trouble on the day and wanna meet in the city or chatswood or manly (ie somewhere familiar) I'd be happy to lead you down to it.
  20. nP ceffo. Cromer is near Dee Why (Northern Beaches). If you don't know that it's in Sydney.
  21. Fair enough. I'll have to talk to the garage then. Right now the camber plates are stuck all the way in. Looks like a lot of camber but the car handles great for little corners - as I've said before feels like it slinks into them. Mid cornering and higher speeds (anything above 60km) is a bit twitchy but I spose that's the drift thing. I'll try for 1-2 degrees and see how we go! Thanks for the tip.
  22. GO DJ GO!! If you do please take me for a ride in it! :aroused:
  23. You'll be getting a call from me if I win this weeks lottery. Great looking car. (free bump)
  24. Yeah but 2 weeks ago I was at work working my fat ass off (well.. my fat ass has stayed..) and new years wasn't a good time But yea I'm planning to have my alarm done by then so p'raps it might be a matter of just having it installed without the motor and remembering to lock my door. Then when you can show me how it's done I can re-hook it up later. wait... you say your dad is away ay?
