  2. Lemme get this straight. blipping on downshifts to match revs with the clutch pedal in isn't effective and I should be doing it in neutral with the clutch pedal out ? If that's true I'm going to watch myself next time I do it cos I don't know which I do Otherwise, I occasionally double-clutch going changing gears up in my car because anything over 4-5k grinds but shifting around that rpm range doesn't keep it on boost long enough to go fastest it can. I think that's only my car though One thing I have noticed is that when I'm trying to go faster, I blip. When I'm trying to deccererate, I'll double de-clutch. I find the engine braking is better. Is that bad?
  3. CF bonnets are legal on some cars at all? REALLY? Does anyone know when this ADR came in? I'd love to shed some kg's on my cefiro to make up for the sound deadening I've put in haha

  6. I think the stock ones are H11's. I've used H4's (i think) and just wired up different cos i wanted to use the phillips 'blue vision' (the ones that ARENT blue). If you cant find the ones that just fit in normal lemme know i'll get you some pics of when i did my install. Also - good luck taking the lamps out that was a REALLLLLY annoying, so much so my headlights are still held in by cable ties :bonk: [edit: stock ones are not H11's, I've not used H4's. Stock ones are H3C and the ones I've used are H3]
  7. You're welcome to check mine out when it's reg'd that'll be a few months so check ceffo's or cef11e's ones out. They're both nice. ceffo's cefiro is the first one I ever drove cos he was nice enough to show me after I posted much like you.. he even let me smoke it up on George Street in the middle of the city on high boost and he only knew me 30mins lol what a champ anyways they're both nice cars and you'll love the cefiro.
  8. Fit a second muffler after the cat if you want it reaaal quiet. Fit a resonator after the cat if you want it quieter (that's what I did..).. it's still loud. Then if it's too loud get a muffler that's known to be quiet. Mine's too loud with the resonator installed and the cannon, so I'm going to try to replace it with a super dragger cannon (known to be quiet) or a kakimoto (nice sound and not a cannon). Good luck.

  10. haha you guys should all feel lucky. my welds on the inside of the pipes cover like 10% of the freakin diameter of the pipe. One day I'll get new pipes.. one day.

  12. I find my type m r32 discs/rotors with project mu pads are enough to lock up the front wheels at 80-100kmh when on the limit. I haven't used them sustained on the track however so how and when they fade is another matter.
  13. I'm thinkin it's pretty crap I'm making 30rwkw more than stock JDM s15 when it's probably got a lot more response and it's lighter :thumbdwn: :boohoo: edit: only thing i can think of is it being a bit rich.
  14. SlideCeffy- CEF-11E and ceffo are both selling their cefiros - moderately modified and I think you'd do well to start from that path. A few bolt ons are nice to start with imo. I've driven both and they are nice. It's a pity too cos it was really cool for 2 people you know to have cefiros! It's a pity.. I get one and they all start selling If you wanted a stocker kursed's is one of the stockest nicest stock looking cefiros I've seen and it looks to be a genuine km. If it's not geniune I'd be very suprised. Either way ya go good luck
  15. I think the cylinder and booster are the same. I didn't do the changeover so I'm not sure. I think it was done in JP.
  16. Heh yeah I've been thinking recently I wish I had more power. I don't get how s15 (JDM) come with rated say 150rwkw and yet my car is like +30 for that with all the mods it has.. makes me think.

I've seen ones like that for around $5k onroad. edit: dono what the status of the km being real or not would be.. they're 1988 cars afterall but on the other hand there are a few low km cars around like resin's and kursed's that look like they are real km.
