  1. Tip to you if you haven't thought of it already - take your window sprayers out and trial fit them to your carbon. If they fit take your old one off and whack your carbon on. I'd hate to take my hood off and put the carbon one on just to find out the wiper thingies didn't quite sit right and it had to come off to get it modified.. no wiper water for me for a while
  2. Depending on what you're doing you might get away with a re-chip. In my circumstances, where I have an internally stock engine and don't plan on being able to afford forgies etc to run more boost I don't see a need for aftermarket computer. My car makes around 180-200rwkw at the moment. It also has yet to be engineered. I guess the point I'm trying to make is why would you spend $1000+ on a computer when a $300 tune+chip would do the very same job? Fair enough if you're always tweaking your car or going for exteme power that nothing but a full computer would do too.
  3. Just noticed this thread and read the whole thing. What an excellent thread, thanks S-kid and everyone else I'm going to be getting this IEBC thingy and controller as I've wanted to boost up the cefiro for a while now but couldn't afford an EBC. My question is assuming my car has a retuned ECU tuned for the boost I'm planing to boost it up to, I won't need the fuel adjuster thingy, just get the IEBC and find the SR20 solenoid and ECU pin for injector 1 right? this is gonna be sweet.
  4. Was there anything else that was put in when you changed suspension? ie diff, diff cradles, polyurethane bushes, struts, sway bars, lower profile tyres? Or could it be something silly like they let the stock shocks pressure down or something to accomodate the lowered springs? ORRRRRRRRRR is it possible the wheel alignment now makes your car feel so different that it feels twitchier when in fact it's just more honed? I've had this before - do you have the settings of the wheel alignment? Finally - how do you drive? If you're an aggressive driver (for example) and you had a lotta camber+caster but now they've taken it out to a more neutral setting (ie neutral camber/caster at the rear) then it's possible it's closer to the stock setting but you now feel like you're in an unsafe car.

  8. ... i fail to see how that's worth it $450 = oil cooler $450x2 = cams $450+a little more = boost controller.... all things that I need and would get before the plates... BUT WAIT most of all $450 = engineers certificate so I can get my bloody rego!!! sorry.. happy for your plates i'm just broke and wish my car was registered let alone i wish i had the plates i wanted... :boohoo: :alcoholic
  9. omg neons if they're neons I wouldn't hook them straight up, I'd feed it from your battery (with a fuse) and use your accessories (say somewhere like your light for your ciggy-lighter-thing is easy to find) to hook up to a relay which would then control the lights. ... if you're installing neons, or other stuff that's gonna pull some current.

  16. Thanks for the support guys. *spanks Duncan* cept for your ya wally nah jokes I've been trying to get my hands on a trailer so I can whip around a track with it in the meantime. Trailer is low cost activity and the tyres aren't rego-able so I figure I might make some use of them Anyone know if I can go on the track without rego ok?
  17. Funny thing is silver my car is running better than ever. It's the most reliable it's ever been, the cleanest and the best setup. All I need now is engineering, blue slip, pink slip and I'm laughin.. my 4th gear is behavin now. So after that I'll try to reco the gearbox and that's it. It's just that to get this far it's cost me too much and I've run out of cash for engineering+rego lol

  19. Was taking my car for a run yesterday (to keep it running nicely) and when I pulled it out of 3rd to put into 4th.. well.. something felt very very bad. I had a hard time pulling it out and now 4th feels very squishy, and while it stays in there and seems to be putting power to the ground but it feels very very wrong (squishy/soft/no defined clicking in). I can push it out from 4th with no clutch at any rev quite easily too. lol

  23. I've never owned slotted or drilled discs but I think most people agree you shouldn't get drilled. Performance vs reliability equation doesn't add up.
