  1. lol no wonder it's loud. Get the hugest mid muffler you can find .. whack that in and see how you go. Also put in a cat. It's not worth the performance vs hurting the environment/getting reemed. I would be suprised if you noticed ANY difference other than a noise reduction.
  2. What ever happened to the buggered-rb26 powered cefiro?
  3. Richard don't you have enough cars mate? Nice sig haha
  4. I fitted a proper rear muffler and a resonator. Aftermarket manifold, aftermarket dump, hi flow cat, aftermarket resonator, trust muffler. Bobs yer uncle. Unless you want a loud car, in which case just put the stock back on for engineers. If you want to keep your rear muffler fit the quietest biggest most high flowing middle muffler you can find.. $100 installed or less - that'll keep the note just not as loud (I like the sounds you get from a big big middle muffler and cannon style rear).
  5. If you want a better response try CAA.
  6. Anyone using BT should run protowall also. You'd be suprised who's out there.
  7. Please don't go to auto alley... went to checkout that place when buying my mates skyline... god damn there's some aweful cars there and noone cares about them. You're better off buying a car that's been loved ... Or if you change your mind from a skyline and want a cefiro PM me
  8. I don't believe this topic is still alive.. I reckon it's your car do it how you want it... I wouldn't do it cos I think it belongs on drift pig 180's and other cars that only need to look good from far.
  9. P.S. Adam, how come you would need a forward facing plenum, is it really that much wider than the neo bottom end?
  10. I reckon it's a great sound on occasion. Might have something to do with the way you take your foot off the accel too. If you take it off abruptly at a certain RPM (where it's richest) it's more likely to backfire.
  11. I curse the day I applied for a credit card from st george telling them I earnt $300 a week or something and they gave me a $9k limit...... I maxxed it twice lol... bad cc bad. Adam - if the strut brace is the only thing stopping you then I wouldn't worry.. Just get the strut brace that goes from the strut towers back to the firewall and along it, rather than the one that goes over the top of the engine bay - surely there's many makers out there who have strut braces for r34s. Plus if you build a rb30 I'll gladly helpya ... I need to learn as one day I'd like one of these engines...
  12. Looks like a cd player... the bottom one is a controller (as it says in the photo) and the top one is the a normal cd player. What exactly do you need to know? From the picture I would assume there's a cd stacker floating around in the car somewhere too (hopefully still here when you get the car). On the upside you might get away with being able to keep the bottom HU to control the stacker if you decide to get a new aussie spec HU..
  13. I thought inherently using lowered springs on the stock shocks means they're mis matched. Go with the group buy atleast you know they handle well instead of just "looking good".
  14. I have a DSBC. I upgraded from a SSBC. These are the predessesors to the SBC Spec S and SBC Spec R respectively. I found the dual solenoid to be significantly better. I would recommend that one. If I was buying new I would buy the blitz dual solenoid model, which is NOT SPEC S. The dual model is Spec R.. Spec S is single! When installing it make sure you have all hoses as short as possible and if your car isn't tuned for boost check the settings on the dyno!
  15. The GTRs regularly taken to the track to be thrashed - how do they get tuned? Do you have to specify it'll be a track warrior then get a lower peak KW? I'm confused I thought that unless the car was pure dyno queen it'd be tuned to give and take punishment??
  16. I love the chirp chirp!!
  17. This may be a stupid question but is it just a 300kmh face or is it actually the whole gauge cluster?
  18. Farr out man that sucks.. All that from a bit of overboostin... What exactly would have broken? Pistons etc (bottom end?) Either way if ya need a hand lemme know. I'm not mechanically minded but I can solder, heat shrink and use zip ties like it's nobodies business!
  19. If you can take the discs out yourself to take to the machine shop that'll be cheaper. Mine were $6 a disc thanks to ceffo
  20. Damn losers. 'spose with being big in size and having all sorts pop up to the cruises there's also the chance that some people with small penises have to prove being sick to their mates.
  21. Could it be something to hold the cover up (i.e. hook it up somewhere) while you take the spare out? (never owned a stagea here).
  22. What's the news Adam?
  23. I wasn't saying get a manual conversion from any *need* but more so from a fun aspect
