  1. Been to UAS.. Nothing bad to say about them just didn't like the vibe. Spoken to and briefly had a few tests done by Nathan @ annandale autos/grey imports. Will be doing my head rebuild there.
  2. Don't worry bout pesky skylines or 180's. Buy my SR20 powered cefiro.. the best of everything
  3. Never buy a car without checking it out. Compression tests etc
  4. Meh 2JZs belong in the old school cressida or soarers.. Pimp-fly
  5. If you're going for a year I'd drop all the fluids but who knows. If it's a GTR I'll run it for ya
  6. Nice one Nic. Yeah show us some pics of it working ... I'm still impressed with the white light inside my car and my reverse lights but yeah this is a good idea Is there as much ambient light spread as the normal globe?
  7. Thanks for the post Adam I think it's damn on the money. Damn, there's a lot of people getting caught up in the thread here. The intention is to save other forum/club members money, time and energy that could be better spent. I wish someone had warned me...
  8. Spotted UH OOH somewhere.
  9. Donno on rb20 but on the sr20 the t518z is quicker to spool than TD05-18G.
  10. I heard the AVCR make a noise that's similar to what you described, search to confirm. Also playing around with the lines maybe something isn't plugged in right or the hoses are too long now?
  11. Pain.. that made me cringe.
  12. Check bulbs. Check fuses. Check the actual stalk. Easy way is to put a test light to the parkers and turn the parkers on... if it don't come on check closer to the stalk. A few people have problems with those wearing out. Easy way to confirm that would be to bypass the switch and short/power the parker wire itself.
  13. Those are 17" ? god damn. my 18's look like 16's :\
  14. Some weekend spottings: Spotted a r32 GTR (or GTR kit/flares) on Warringah Rd Friday morning at a red light. Spotted JNR-32R or something somewhere I can't remember where. Spotted some white r33 somewhere. Spotted some white r34 somewhere. I can't remember locations lol but if it's anyone here think back to the weekend to see if you saw a cefiro.. I was in my car all those times
  15. All good. I do see a lot of people who fit chromes just for attention so thats where my comment comes from.
  16. It's not a good priced compared to what it is.. Some moulded mass produced plastic.
  17. Pfft people need more love for the ceffy brothers.. I sold my grille to deviat for $20... Anyone else want parts I don't need they're cheap cos that's what they're for.
  18. What happens if you get caught? Asked to leave or not run again or what?
  19. I recommend phillips blue vision if you're after a whiter light. Any bluer and you won't get any light at all (the halogens use a blue filter over them to look whiter). $50 from autobarn. You can interchange H3C with H3's too - you may just need an extra ground wire. Easy to do pm me if you need help. They won't be HID if you didn't get a ballast with them.
  20. Yes... same as chromes.. Hollow attention seeking. But the important thing is it's his car so each to their own.
  21. Search button would have revealed SydneyKid's extensive thread... I believe its in the Stagea section.
  22. Mate, Whoever told you about removing the line running stock boost is a retard and should go back to having sex with their cousin's pig and not procreating so another tard takes up the rest of the worlds collective oxygen supply. How are you determining it was standard boost? Are you looking at the stock gauge? It's NOT possible the boost was put into a "safe mode" because the actuator is mechanical, it relies on pressure. If you disconnect the hoses you've mentioned you're removing the pressure the actuator is affected by (this has been said already!) What you're thinking of here is when your engine sees lots of air from the AFM (air flow meter) your computer will retard the timing and richen the AFR (air fuel ratio).. this is known as R+R. If you want stock boost - do what everyone has said. If you want a blown up car and annoy people - keep askin questions and not taking advice that's obviously in your best interest. If you want to run no boost, wire up the wastegate actuator so it's always open (I'd be running my engine in like this). Also, if you check howstuffworks.com there's some good info there on turbos etc they have a great diagram that shows how the wastegate actuator is actually actuated! Not having a go but this thread is freakin frustrating... Beer Baron, wrxhoon, blind_elk - plenty of others have told you.
  23. Frequency convertor is like $10-20 and sits is basically a plug that goes into the antenna plug of your HU and the antenna itself plugs in the other end... it just sits between your antenna and head unit.
  24. MSCEs aren't worth the paper they're printed on. What Merli says is what I see all the time in our IT division. If you know your stuff consider a bachelors. Might be hard to get into and take longer but really most employers either hire wizz kids via consulting houses or people with degrees. There are off course exceptions to every rule.
