  1. Stupidest idea evarr. Sounds like nissansilvia.com talk.... They can use a broomstick to stick in. If it's hollow it won't hit anything so they know it's fake, then they WILL do you. Also any exhaust test will show it's not working!!
  2. I thought there wasn't too much difference? You'll just need a 4wd sump I think (only guessin).
  3. My theory is the twin thermos are sucking the air through the radiator so well they're pushing the hot air past the extractors, picking more hot air up and blowing it right at your firewall. If that is indeed the case I have no idea how you'd fix it
  4. I don't see the problem. It's just typically Ausmerican mass-group-sheep thinking. Everything has to have a name. The counter counter is the counter of the counter counter culture. If you're different, come express you individuality with everyone else! etc etc.. Truth is people are sheep - mass media are great and whatever trend is peddled will be bought.. That's why music charts are so good. Do songs place on it because they're being sold or do they sell because they're on there? (or most likely bits of both?).... And as such we're no different. Things don't exist till they're are given a name.
  5. Damn that's gotta suck I don't think that'll be easy. Good luck. Try Just Jap. DRFT_ceffy - you have a button one side is up/close the other is down/open. If you want it to tilt press up. If you want it to open hit open. Easy.. best sun roof evarr.
  6. Gday, Take a pic top down really close so I can see the indentations on the "skirt". If one side is like a cutout circular half moon and the other side is a shallower rectangle then yes I think it is. I do have a feeling the H3C one leg is a little longer. I've got a diagram at work I'll post it up tommorz.
  7. I've heard the results aren't too great. I think the point razor was trying to make was why bother. I tend to agree. Sell your turbo and buy one designed as an external gate if you really want one... which brings us to the question that razor asked.. why do you want one?
  8. The Bee-R kit is like $10k delivered. You'd probably be better off custom
  9. Thanks for the info. Where did you order them? I got told they come as part of a shim kit for brakes and the whole lot costs $150-200 and comes with a whole bunch of stuff I don't need (I only need the 4 shims). Is it okay to use that on the rotor or no need?
  10. What exactly does this do? Does it sit between the piston and the pad? If I've lost my shims, the ones that look like a rectangular piece of metal with a slight 90 bend with about 5mm...(see diagram) can I just stick on some aluminium sheet to the back of it with this anti squeel glue? diagram of shim I've lost. ____ | | | | What grit sandpaper do you use on the pad if you're de-glazing it? Is it advisable to give your rotor a bit of a sand as well? I'm hoping to fix that squeek that happens every rotation at slow speeds as well :\
  11. Hey Anita I think maybe sewid was commenting on the chrome wheels - they look horrible. Nice colour on the car. Good on you about the mag.... I'm not green with envy though sorry hehe
  12. Sometimes they don't bother if it's only a bit over but if it was a hand held they have to pull you. Sometimes they have mounted in cars or on the side of the road that will take photos.. If it was on a tripod or mounted in dash then you'll usually see a flash.
  13. Kick in the pants ... for me it was launching a mates GTiR at about 5-6k... 1 second and time to grab for second.
  14. Spotted a r32 GTR with a silver front mount in Neutral Bay. A r33 with rusty calipers and distinctive plate in North Sydney .. looked kinda dumped cos I wouldn't park a skyline there and leave it sitting for the amount of time it would take for the calipers to get like that. r33 4 door around the Forest area.
  15. I'm using a xtreme clutch with my sr20. I'd buy one again.
  16. I have a test for you but without a boost gauge you shouldn't get too happy with it. Unplug the wastegate actuator line so it get no pressure from the intercooler. Plug the hole from the intercooler, or wherever it was getting pressure from (say with a rubber piece from a radiator hose or something and a ring tightener thingy). Take the car for a quick boost - just TAKE CARE because if you put your foot down your turbo will produce the maximum amount of boost it can muster.. Probably blowing up your engine or turbo. Just boost it till when it starts to come on boost. If it comes on earlier than before then it's got something to do with the wastegate actuator or line. Hope that helps - and remember just accel to the point where it JUST gets on boost and back off - ya dont wanna blow anything up pushing it harder without the actuator hooked up.
  17. Are all the proper exhaust hangers used?
  18. I've heard around the place that optimax has a high sulphur content so that may be it. The cat, as others have said is also suspect.
  19. I used about 8kg of SD. I won't install another system without sound deadening atleast in the front doors - I didn't want to weigh my car down too much I just wanted to get the most from my drivers - which it did. Wolverine is right, it's the most noticable difference, I'll just add it's probably more useful when you're using quality equipment in the first place, so if you're using sony explod gear I wouldn't bother. I have focal kvp2 splits in the front doors and wanted to get the most out of them.
  20. You can crack all sorts of stuff, increase wear on your engine/gearbox mounts etc and stress the body. I'll keep my coilovers though - they're not ridiculous and I always miss potholes.
  21. Shift kit for driving and holding gears etc. Oil cooler for the box for longevity.
  22. Yeah sorry I don't mean to generalise, when I was on my P's I used to lane pick on people everywhere.. The only reason I do generalise is that the last 5-10 times I've been buzzed by, it's a p plater that gets stuck at the next lights or gets stuck from people turning off just cos they dono how to pick There's something satisfying about passing some gronk who speeds, lane changes every 2 minutes, and looks like they're about to burst a vein when you've been in the same lane all along and are about 5km (15minutes) up the road.
  23. What's TSI?
  24. They make personal profits (shares/mates/family etc). OPEC sets the price in production anyways - what's stupid isn't the price, what is stupid is we're using petrol in our cars anyway. I can't wait to get a 1969 Ford Falcon XW GT with a worked 351 and a blower that runs on water. Then I can boost up the cefiro all the time too heh heh O_o
  25. If you're desperate I'll swap you a 2003 barina with 23k on the clock. Mind you it ain't worth nowhere near 18k haha
