  1. I've been to UAS and Unigroup. Only for dyno runs.. I'll be going back to unigroup anytime.. Yavuz was more than helpful and they treat your car sif it's their own.
  2. The engine management is retuned ECU (daughterboard). Thing is forged rebuild is about $5k without complications.. A wrecked engine is about $2.5 and I can sell my old one, the gearbox, ECU, turbo.. etc.. Spose I don't know what I'm getting but ... $5k ... ugh so... much.. money....
  3. T518Z turbo, injectors, exi mani, trust sump - all bolt on stuff but the actual engine itself is unopened.
  4. Spotted Duncan's yellow GTR at an undisclosed location Also spotted a silver r33 with a NISMO sticker on the back windscreen and a fusion sticker on the front. I'm sure you saw me and I saw you yesterday aswell closer to my area.
  5. God $700 for those welds!? That's ridiculous good to hear you're getting your cash back. I thought my welds were bad - but they ain't as bad as those pics... I gotta take to it with a dremel one day... Could you please PM me the company/trader that sold you those?
  6. You may have trouble finding a rb25 converted r32 you like in 2 weeks too.
  7. A couple of weeks ago I noticed my radiator was getting low and I had liquid in my exhaust.. Suspecting a head gasket I took it to get checked at Grey Imports (Annandale) where Nathan confirmed it was infact gone. What was even worse was the previous owner had put in chemi-weld so it probably blew out on them and I was the fool that bought the car... Oh well, the car is already about 8-10k over budget through all the dodginess. I'm not the type of person to shove my chemi-weld in it and sell it so please tell me what I should do!? Choice 1 Fix just the head gasket. With all seals etc I think I'm looking at about $1400 plus a metal head gasket. Choice 2 Rebuild with forged pistons and all that. Say about $5k? Choice 3 Wrecked engine from reputable dealer.. say about $2.5k Right now I'm leaning towards option 3... simply because option 1 means the head gasket will be fixed but I don't know what other dodgy shit the previous owner put the engine through. Option 3 ensures I get a new start.. unfortunately without the insurance of a totally rebuilt engine, but atleast a normally abused engine would be in better condition. This is off course for a sr20.... so.. what are your guys thoughts on the subject? *sigh*
  8. Try arming your alarm and tapping it continously.. I suspect maybe eventually the other light will come on and trigger your alarm.
  9. Hay that looks pretty good. Want to enter the design comp for a banner for cefiroz.com ? We're having a competition at the moment If so PM me
  10. First step is to find the ECU and start your car. Look at the side of the ECU and see if there is a LED that is red. That will indicate the car is in limp mode. If so then do the diagnostics.. which you should be able to search for!
  11. If you're selling them for $400 you should be sponsoring SAU as a seller.
  12. Thrashing and barbie sounds better than a park.. Infact lets face it most of you guys aren't men without being near your cars so let's stick to that theme Portable gas bbq with snags, an esky and a skidpan... sounds fun but sounds exxy. We could just gatecrash the next SAU track day and get a bunch of us cefir-hoes to hoon around
  13. The engineer was RTA certified and my certificate is certified, on file with the RTA and a condition of my rego. Last I heard he's retired so unfortunately not.
  14. Yes you can. Every engineer will have different interpretations.. Although $1k for an engine transplant is ridic. ... actually $1k for the whole car is ridic, even if you have every nut and bolt engineered. My pod is engineered.. without a box.
  15. Where did you pull 200m from? Sorry to single you out - the majority of people who answered to this thread don't know what they're talkin bout. Sorry but yeah.. Nismoid on the money. 'cept.. in theory it should be innocent before guilty, but in practical terms you'd usually get f**ked.
  16. White GTR R34 - I won't post the plate. Looks stock barr a muffler and a smoked gauge.. Also had a battery in the passenger foot well and a MSPEC sticker on the back ... O_o In the city right now parked a car away from mine - anyone here?
  17. I'm using a r32/r33 (?) GTR cooler with custom piping. Fits nice with the wonder front bar .. looks stealth being black too
  18. Last time we did meet up at Lane Cove National Park we couldn't find a bbq!!
  19. The fact they couldn't produce an expert is their legal (and practical) problem. The fact no expert who knows what they are talking about would testify it couldn't be faked is their real problem. It's well known it's possible to create a MD5 hash from a different source than the original in a few hours on a home computer. And as for them saying it doesn't affect other fines off course they would say that... our society as a whole doesn't question things we're just spoon fed information anyways... go back to sleep your government is in control!!
  20. Welcome to Sydney. GTST is right Mosman bad? LOL try goin North as well
  21. As usual Hiro is right on the money here. Funnily I also use the J-stuff moniker. I got it from J-pop *shudder*
  22. SAFC2 is only a bending unit and tricks the ECU into seeing different AFM readings.. so that way it can only affect change in that manner. I'd go the PFC because it does everything and is a whole replacement. Having said that I use a re-tuned chip in my car and I'm happy with it.. for my purposes I don't even need a PFC - another thing to consider If you search people have asked this many times before so you will be able to find more information on those threads... people usually don't tend to answer threads that come up often.
  23. Yay snow!!! I'm goin snowboarding this weekend!! yayayayyaay!!! I take it you didn't make snow angels?
  24. Blowing into the solenoid will test you've plugged it up the "right way" (i.e. for the air flow to be going the right way). Just blow into the side your intercooler/pressure is coming from and stick your finger over the hole going to your wastegate actuator. If you can't feel it then it's wrong and try the other way.
  25. lol violet crumble wrapper. Does it sound like a relay or mechanical?
