  1. Also there is such a thing as the local police intelligence. If they get a report of a car hooning along they will ream you next time they can. They did it to me when I was on my p's .. funnily enough they didn't get the right bloke but the fact remains.
  2. Nissan parts people love FAST - some people will insist looking up my car even when I explain the part I'm trying to find won't even be listed with my VIN cos it came off another model. JustJap in sydney sell lots of those DIN pockets/drinkholders. They're about $15-20 and they have the stock ones and generic ones. Unfortunately they don't have cefiro ones so I've used a piece of fibreglass with a carbon fibre top coat on it to block up the space for now. I will be putting gauges in there eventually
  3. It's all down to the installation. The key pad is basically another immobiliser controller (i.e. same as having another immobilisation module, just that it's connected to the keypad instead of a key fob). If you don't want to spend the money and your current alarm is installed well I would just add some extra immobilisation tricks.
  4. If it doesn't turn out to be anything major like a caliper being stuck etc then try a decent set of pads and fluid. Infact if it's off the boat with the same fluid maybe it just needs to be bled. I have r32 type m brakes on my cefiro and they pull up like nothing else I've ever been in and have great pedal feel. I use motul rbf9000 (or something like that) and project mu pads.
  5. Twin pipes twin pipes twin pipes!! sorry... TWIN PIPES!!
  6. If you have wide tyres it will get heavier. What' the problem with heavy steering?
  7. Blend into the crowd... XR6T I'd look at the mini. Looks fun.
  8. Welcome welcome. A line of ceffies is tough. We should do it again but noone seems to have time.
  9. When I got my car I always wanted to run a 12, not a 13. My car is what I'd call a street car but I don't consider it quick. Just under 200rwkw with a nice power band and 1350kg I should crack into the high 12's with a decent launch. I still don't really think that's that quick though... so yes I think 13 isn't cutting it (atleast for me). Maybe it's fast and the furious influenced ... "I owe you a 10 second car" lol
  10. Well I put in my new ground cable. It's bigger than the old but I can't take a picture because the digicam is out and about somewhere. Coincidentally my car now has a crazy bad idle - drops to 800rpm from 1000rpm, when my fan goes on, when I use my power window my lights dim. I think it's unrelated (I suspect my head gasket gone). Ahh always something :\
  11. Gotta love how it's a legal requirements to pay the .38c excise even though you're making it.. That's so arbitrary lol
  12. I used to be a menace.. nearly killed myself and wrote off my first car and now I drive like a grandma. Waiting to take it to the track and thrash it out there
  13. I'll take pics tommorz but these were 8ga with proper shrink on them. Only problem was they didn't have the correct length with a clamp and a blade. The only one they did have the correct length was had a blade on either end. The cable with a blade and a clamp that was closer to the length I needed was $20! Needless to say I went with the longer one for $13. I'll just cut it down and I need to strip some of the it in the middle to strap it onto the chassis. I'll take a pic of the original cable and of it installed so you know what I'm talkin bout.. but my one didn't have the tag with the fancy writing on it like yours, but it was black, which is a bonus when you're trying to clean up your wiring
  14. Yo E - why not just get your stock valve put back on ? You're gonna need to sort that out and save money for a gearbox cooler now!
  15. Good to hear KICKIN - let us know when you put em in what you think. I love mine Be very very careful with the white ceramic coated part of the bulb (it runs under the actual globe) - and remember not to touch the bulb itself with your fingers or get it dirty!! But yeah let us know
  16. Bugger bout the tv coverage. If you know any dates of snippets or something likely to be on please let me know - I don't really watch much tv so don't know when anything is on. Bah I wish I could drive heh heh.
  17. Ah, I can't help you on that one. Might be best to wait for another GTT owner. I do have a feeling though that if yours were changed in compliance you may need another headlight assembly. Good luck - sorry I couldn't help.
  18. I just got mine from super cheap auto.. I can't believe how expensive these repco/super cheap/sparts places are it's ridiculous!! It's wire people !! No reason why it should be over $5, yet there it was from $13-$20. Will install it over the weekend
  19. Thanks. Don't forget the little button in the grill to turn on the lights hehe
  20. Gday, Are you talkin bout a HID kit or HID retrofit or HID OEM install? If it's a kit what brand?
  21. No way they're 2.5t he must have been pulling your leg. I'm not interested about the engine really, I mean we can assume they have go fast stuff on it. I'm more interested about the suspension.
  22. Can you write up a full profile of the cefiro for cefiroz.com?
  23. I think it's a great question. I wanna know what NSW coppers have after seeing them take a corner at about 160kmh+ in pursuit that made me shit my pants.. Looked like a great handling car for what I thought was a shitty commo.
  24. Good shit. I might go do this myself... right now That looks about 8 gauge right?
  25. Go Duncan, is this likely to be televised?
