Just wondering what would cause my car to have the front tyres outter wearing. It's pretty much the side of the tyre between where the actual sidewall starts and the normal flat part of the tyre is. It is on a cefiro (s13 suspension). I'm running the following- Camber L -1.32 R -1.26 Caster L 7.33 R 6.52 Toe L -.05 R -.05 Rear Camber L -0.57 R -1.00 Rear Toe L 1.1 R 1.1 I'm thinking maybe I need more camber for the way I drive or perhaps bigger sway bars, they look stock and the car seems to lean a bit. I have a big and chunky front strut brace (it's rectangular) and a normal looking thinner (round) rear one. I'm running some sort of tein coilover and mech diff if that's important. Thanks.

I know of a member who has taken their car there and it's come back with half a tank of petrol gone and one less cylinder. From speaking to one of their sales guys when they used to sell cars near the roundabout having said "ahh yeah that's a great car it goes so fast when you wind that thing, even first thing after you turn it on" I've decided I won't be dealing with them. Off course their sales people might be different, I noticed they went through a marked change since my flatmate bought his r32 there. So on the other hand my flatmate bought a r32 there 1.5years ago and all he has had to replace is the fuel pump and clutch, which they did for him for $800 for an organic and he hasn't had any dramas at all.

Uhm. Don't pollute this thread with your shit, use PM or be hektic somewhere else. -
I thought it was great to see 30/31/KPGC - I hope you make it down next year! Noone mentions the cefiro either even though SAU is our surrogate club
-
Heh heh Deviat removed his at the SAU NSW show and shine with replicate and me. It isn't hard once you know what to do, if you don't.. it seems impossible! :matrix:
-
Yup I just thought I'd mention is for anyone reading the thread who might have thought GPS can be used for communication too.
-
I wouldn't deposit but then again I don't tyre kick. I think it's reasonable to say as someone suggested to take them for a spin then they put a deposit and or start buying it then they can drive it.. I think if it's an evo the difficulty is that there aren't many and if you've never driven the car you like to drive it.. so a legit interested person who has never driven one will definately want to drive. Either way good luck.

You will only be able to communicate with the car (and know the position of) if you have GSM coverage too. Obviously I think the GPS/GSM has a wider coverage than QT.

Cruise control in a manual Skyline
someonestolecc replied to jmac's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I'd like to know as well. I don't want to hi-jack jmac, but I have cruise control as part of my rb20 related stuff in the cef and if I could put a cruise control accell plate onto my sr20 then that'd be great. I have all the other part of it (the cable and controller). I was thinking if the normal cruise control works by detecting the tension on the accel cable, and simple KEEP it at the same tension then you should be able to use any wrecked nissan one circa models a31, r32, r33, r34 etc. It might, off course, work vastly differently... anyone know ? -

FS: 5 studmuffins big brake upgrade
someonestolecc replied to pitchd's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Hey that's great, obviously you want to keep them together but on the off chance you decide to split them I'd be very very interested in the rear rotors. I'd consider buying all 4 just to get the rears also. -
WANTED: N1 spec headlights/grille for A31
someonestolecc replied to pitchd's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Hey pitchd - good stuff. I dono I love ceffy projectors, I think especially with a pink car the projectors will look better but hey it's your car so you have to be happy not some punk on the net Good to see ya got a car, got any pics? As for the projectors - they will fit so long as you know the bulb type however I can't guarantee they will look as good as the projector ones because they're the only ones I've tried with. If you're wanting hid I'd highly recommend keeping the projectors and getting in on the group buy (asap) just for the fact I've tried it and they're great. Off course having said that, that doesn't stop you getting them if you want to try there's no reason why it won't work. The only issue is really glare and cutoff. From all I've read the glare/cutoff on some HID kit fitted headlight assemblies isn't the greatest, it all depends if the non-projector assemblies were over-engineered like the projectors were to provide for the many more lumens you get with HID. -

Credit is fine I'm happy for him!! I think the problem is he posted photos that show us nothing. Which means - if he posted saying he's happy with no photos ... everyone would say something on the lines of "YAY we're happy too!". Since the photos got put up, everyone expects specs and photos now because the point of the thread isn't "yay I'm happy" but "yay I'm happy checkout my car"... which just isn't possible. Either way ... BOOOOOOSSST!!! :aroused: -
The difference is basically a bleed valve is just a valve. An EBC (electronic boost controller) is a solenoid with some sort of logic behind it controlling it. This means your boost will be more stable, but not something you will probably notice driving around (more-so on a dyno). The turbo smart dual boost is pretty much on the same level as a bleed valve, albeit adjustable from the cabin. As such it doesn't constitute an EBC. Occasionally you get second hand EBCs selling on the forums for around $300. I would recommend the dual solenoid Blitz DSBC as my pick. I semi-recently picked up a single solenoid SBC Spec S (the older school one) for $200. Works a treat. If you want bang for buck there's a thread (search for it) that's about $20-30 and is probably the best valued and most effective bleed valve. Good luck.

Central locking question
someonestolecc replied to someonestolecc's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
That's what I'm doing We all have that. There's a way to disable it if you want, which I was gonna do till CEF11E said some window washing crackhed actually tried to open his door and got rejected! So now I'm keeping it There's no OEM actuator in the driver door in r32/a31 etc so when you get an alarm put in they install an extra actuator and wire it in to the system that's why you get that. I'm wiring mine so it will continue doing only the 3 doors and not the drivers. Anyways guys I'm not talkin bout the auto lock feature. Each door has a door locker/unlocker. When you unlock the drivers one it unlocks all the other doors. When you lock the drivers one it locks all the other doors. Mine doesn't lock the other doors anymore. So I was wondering if anyones played with their central and noticed which module/wire left unplugged will cause this because I'm almost certain behind my sound deadening somewhere I've left something unplugged. I get that feeling because the central locking button won't work if the passenger door "console" isn't plugged in. Anyone?
