Thanks for the link man, I'm still looking for a way to disable the low beams being turned off, rather than having them turned on (after being turned off) when the high beams are applied. I know it's only a slight difference but the reason I prefer it that way is because it's for HID and not normal globes.

Fibreglass boxing and optimal sub enclosure size
someonestolecc replied to someonestolecc's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
D'oh that's not it. Mine says PPI on the front I think. Perhaps it was a look-alike brand it was sold to me as - Admittedly I didn't pay that much for it but I'm pretty sure it's the sub attached to this post. -
Fibreglass boxing and optimal sub enclosure size

I'll check to see exactly what size woofer it is. I'm pretty sure it's a 10". How do I tell if it's the flat piston type? I don't actually have a skyline it's in a cefiro - I can measure the boot if that helps? Thanks again fhrx! -
33GTSt How much boost can you run?
someonestolecc replied to PHATGTR's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Stop hi jacking this guys thread. It's called tractive effort and there's plenty of info why it's not always correct and how it works. Torque is a figure based from rpm and kw anyways so you can always work it out yourself. My sr20 has around 650nm of torque according to the dyno. Big deal. -
"Rzone" performance exhaust
someonestolecc replied to AlexCim's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
A lot of people like x force. I don't I've dealt with BATMBL before and he's helpful and a good trader on SAU so I'd support him - I also have no worries about his products (although with fairness have never bought an exhaust part from him). Good luck with your choice -
I'd put $500 towards performance mods personally But my car is battered like that and needs a full respray which I won't ever afford heh heh. If it bothers you do what Method said and shop around. Even bullshit if you have to "this bloke said less" and be prepared to walk away till you find the place that feels good and gives you a good price. I would also consider asking in the Vic section for recommendations because good panel beaters are a hit and miss affair so you want someone that won't have your car for 2months then not colour match the repairs properly. Bad luck on the hit - better luck next time

RB25 Engine Rebuild for 300-350kw - Help/Opinions
someonestolecc replied to allblitz's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Someone mentioned the vg30 rear on the hi flow from GCG. Someone on these forums (maybe even the same guy) did that and got great results. You should search up for it. -
Hey man I think most people have said they end up cutting them or something. BasketCase is coming I think.

Installing a SBC ID III for economy.

Don't put your foot down as much, be more 'even' in your driving. If you want 0 psi you would have to wire your wastegate open so it's never letting it build boost. Also - don't put your foot down more than it needs to. e.g. you're going up a hill and you put your foot down and 2cm into depressing the pedal your car stops moving any quicker. Take your foot off lightly to 1.9cm (for example) and your car doesn't slow down. This is optimum. -
Mate I know what you mean. I had a 351 with err.. fake .. twin pipes.. Basically they ended up at the end of the car but really a lot of the exhaust came out the side (side pipes basically) and that thing sounded AWESOME. At idle, on the pedal a little, on the pedal alot - it just sounded great. I hope it gives you that little bit of reverb at the back of your throat/lungs as only a big v8 can :aroused: When you get the sound bite if it doesn't sound like it's picking up the boomy v8 sound try moving away a little so less of the high range is picked up and more of the bass notes come through

Someone stall my personalised number plates!!!
someonestolecc replied to nedb's topic in New South Wales
If it's a vanity plate I think tards just like to put them up in their room or something. Just attached them better so there's no next time because I think this is an opportunistic crime. Some tard walkin/driving along "sick yuleh that's sick bro lets get it" so you should have them attached with some strange allen key or something not just the usual screwdriver. My random plates I just use zip ties but still sucks - hope it doesn't happen again. -
Fibreglass boxing and optimal sub enclosure size

Thanks for the reply mokompri and Marty - very detailed thank you. Thanks for going through point by point. I do recall reading up on that sometime a while back and studying the diagrams you've posted - I think it may have been your article actually. I've looked at blaubox and I can't seem to make sense of it. I mean, I can work it, I'm just not entirely sure of what it's telling me. How loud do I want it - I like to have my eyes blur. I think I've mentioned this before to you but until I can afford my idmax and 1.400 I have to stick to this What I listen to - hip hop and hardcore dance music (fast responsive bass). Unfortunately I think these two music styles are opposed when trying to build a system. As it stands the system is fine for hip hop. It's a joke when I try to play 150bpm hard hitting Euro hardcore and old school trance with 808's and 303's. Available power on tap - Actually this is a strange one. It's being run by a noname amp that according to calculations (my mate who sold it to me measured the current it was drawing) it *should* be able to pull 400wrms or so. I'm not sure at what ohm but considering I paid $50 for it it can't be *that* good. As I understand it this simply means the enclosure can't be too small because the amp can't push/pull the woofer fast enough to be responsive. The thiele/small parameters - What the? I can't seem to find the PPI driver on the net. Can I work this out somehow? As far as I understand it, I need to make the enclosure smaller than it is at the moment, so that it's more responsive, but that assumes that my amp is powerful enough to drive the woofer properly. The guy who sold me the sub+box said he made the box using calculations from a program. I'm scared that he's made it optimal already, but on the other hand I refuse to believe a sub could be so sloppy that it can't keep up with 120-150bpm music. Plus I'm itching to try fibreglassing - seems I could make it lighter than the mdf in my boot currently, and reclaim my bootspace Consequently any extra help (or spoonfeeding (it feels like)) greatly appreciated :innocent: -
That's the one.

No worries Bob thanks for the reply. I'm just about to send my form in now... Where it says "Please supply ... lanyards at $5 a peice on the day" does that mean I'm meant to include the lanyard cost in the enclosed monies or we just order them on the form and pay cash on the day for the lanyards? -

Quick question. Just filling out my form. Do we pre-pay for lanyards or order them then pay on the day? Also is there any chance of having all the cefiros together? -
Hey Ando, It'll be good if you get up there. I'm making a weekend of it so going with the missus on Saturday, spending Saturnight having dinner and stuff then show n shining on the Sunday. I just booked in at a hotel :aroused: Might even take the Monday off work As for having all the cefiros in one place.. FO'SHO'!!

My front bar is held on by 2 zip ties either side of the wheel well (have a look under your guards). The rear is held on by a couple of screws (haven't used the brackets it doesn't seem to need them). Obviiously the stock ones will have more than that so I can't help find those but yeah, after you put the kit on you don't need much at all to keep it on
