  1. I don't understand why some people swear by shockproof light and yet the directions say that it's not for gearboxes and some people say not to use it? I used heavy in my gearbox when it was stuffed, and sure enough it died with heavy in it. I'm going to put light in my new box but ... still a bit confused.
  2. Nice looking car. Nice asses too Welcome to SAU.
  3. My engineers says pod filter. No box.
  4. South Central Chatswood (sorry.)
  5. When my DS wheel bearing was done up too tight my bearing ground badly but only when turning one way. This might be a tell tale if this is what has happened. Have you checked to see if it's your rotors? Might be an idea to jack it up, take of the wheel and see if you can spin the hub. I spose if this doesn't do the noise then maybe it's the hub cos the weight of the wheel isn't on it anymore. If it does do it it might be the brakes. Hope you have good hearing Good luck.
  6. Hey love your car man looks tough. Wow that's probably how much my car has cost me just to keep running with replacement parts and fixing ... to think I could have had a decent car with so much more power Hope you get to keep it though
  7. ASQ-xxx white ceffy spotted by my gf at Willoughby last Friday 11:30am. Someone get this guy on here he's the most spotted ceffy on the forums.
  8. Read my sig please Hey any chance you could post it or give me a title to search on please? I've had a look through all headlight searchable threads and none come up with the info I needed.
  9. Hmm Dave - I've never experienced any snap oversteer with the whiteline package. I mustn't be trying hard enough eh
  10. It's pretty easy champ - basically your seat sits on some "doobies" your seats just have some hooks. Before you do this the seat will be jammed in to stop the shove upwards in the normal course of thing so push it in at the base as you shove it up. Atleast that's how it is on the cef. Someone mentioned some screws I didn't have any of those but remember the seat was pretty easy to get out just by feeling around and pushing certain angles on it. I would try just using your instincts if all else fails, this is one of those jobs you can do just as well without instructions. Good luck
  11. This thread looks like WW3. Let's put into perspective. There's always gonna be a car that will smoke you, it's what you prefer to drive. Since the starter of the thread isn't picking there's no point going into that. He just wants to beat his mate. To beat your mate, just do up your r33 a little and you'll be right! As for those who say the auto wrx is a joke, I was impressed with the wrx evo 4 I drove. I thought the shift on it was fantastic for an auto, off course I didn't get to thrash it too much. Also on a track I think the wrx AWD doesn't help THAT MUCH.. as watching certain classes of racing I always see them pretty even all round with everything else on the field.
  12. Hmm interesting idea NZM but switching relayed circuits sounds like a bad idea, because it's still switiching it. I'd like to keep the HID life as long as possible by keeping the same circuit powering them. Any other suggestions?
  13. Sydneykid's advice = split dump pipes that have the wastegate join back in atleast 400mm away from the turbo are best. I'll be trying to get to that
  14. Just put the kit into my flatmates r32. Here are some pics. r32 owners please read http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=78231 Looks good!
  15. Just put in a HID kit into my flatmates r32. When he puts on his high beams however, the normal low beams are intermittantly cut out. This is a problem as the HID don't like being turned on and off quickly. Can anyone please tell me how to turn this off, so that when my mate puts on his high beams, the low beams stay on? Thanks - any help greatly appreciated!
  16. front bar modified autech, modifed vertex skirts and modified modified-autech bar. The rear bar mould was from an autech, skirts I believe were too_much's 180 vertex sides and the rear was moulded from my rear bar and modified. The modifications looked good when too_much explained them to me and from photos. I wouldn't hold your breath though sky80.
  17. You don't need backpressure. A cat is a legal requirement and if you get caught not having one EPA are going to slap you a fine. I have a similar settings to what you're saying stainless eximani>dump>front pipe>cat>resonator (hot dog)> cannon muffler and the thing isn't quiet.. it was measured at 96db. Probably a lot quieter than yours though. I don't think performance is an issue.
  18. Omori. Pivot. Obviously they'd be expensive too if not second hand
  19. Where abouts in Sydney are you? Do you have pics?
  20. If it's a track requirement it has to be in reach of the driver when strapped in as far as I can guess. I'm mounting mine to the raised floor part behind the glovebox (the tunnel that the driveshaft goes under). I know of people who have mounted it in the passenger area (although I kept away from that to stop them from getting a fire extinguisher in their knee incase of an accident). Also seen people use a plate to mount them to the seat rails and have it just behind them. Don't get the crappy noname/cheapy ones from autobarn/repco/wherever. Mine leaked all over the place (both of them) and when I had a fire they were both useless. Garage-13 sell chubb ones pretty cheap.
  21. Thanks man - it actually is angled about 30 degrees you just can't see it on that angle.
  22. 100mm is what the minimum is. Pod filter is technically ok so long as it's not louder than 90db. The exhaust will be ok so long as it's got a cat and not louder than 90db. Mine was tested at 3000rpm from 30cm or something. Atmo BOV = no chance. Everything else is up to whether or not it's safe. Good luck.
  23. It's not exactly putting extra fuel in .. what happen is the air flow meter measures how much air is getting sucked into the engine and the computer puts the right amount of fuel in. When you don't plum it back you're sending air the air fuel meter has already measured (and the computer has calculated on being in the engine) into the air... So this means that the car is left with all too much petrol everytime you hear the PSSShHHhHT.
  24. Good, bad, ugly? I've been trying to get a kakimoto muffler to replace it with but sometimes I like it sometimes I don't.
  25. krzysiu beat me to it.
