  1. To sound deaden a skyline you could probably spend from $50 to $500 and them some- how long is a piece of string? I put 8kg into my car into the front doors. That was around $150 (if I recall correctly). The screen in the crashpad looks tacky, as do ebay LCD screens with playstations attached to them but it will still impress the 16 year olds - no offense intended there but that's my honost impression. If you wanted to be real showy about it spend the extra cash and wait for a good deal to come up on caa or something and buy yourself an automated alpine and mount it above your stereo... my 2c.. either way - good luck
  2. Good luck. Watching this thread with interest.
  3. My exhaust temp sensor not plugged in.. when I bought my car it was just dangling on the road. Is this bad? necessary? what are the possible side effects of not having it plugged in?
  4. Becareful there's always a fine line between finding a good thing and being the person that posts up saying "dont buy one of these i did and it sucked". Maybe if you put up the claimed specs and or a link to the website one of SAU's turbo specialists might look at it (discopotato p'raps).
  5. Gotta love the nissan parts bin the ceffies got em as well. I leave mine out unless I think they're going to get them in harms way. I thought about putting them up to my alarm to do it automatically (my friend has it on his GTiR).. but I have to consider wear n tear, it'd be hard to get me a ceffy mirror to replace it.
  6. Sorry didn't realise you were in Vic. Good luck anyways
  7. Go to a AUVIS with your car as is and ask them. PODs by themselves aren't technically defectable.
  8. How much camber you running? Are those leds in the grill ?
  9. Yes I do but on the street so it's not all that spirited. If that's the case I would hate to see what it would do on the track. SydneyKid - any luck on the photo of a spacer?
  10. Gday - thanks for the tip. I cleaned it with metho all nice n nice. It was infact stuck as well. Now she slides real easy. I'll give it a quick spray of WD40. Now it's just strange. I've set it to the loosest possible setting, to the point where it's closest to opening but without being open at idle. Under .5-.7 bar it still flutters (depending on gear+load). Anything over .7bar it will blow off as per normal, but I think I still get a tiny bit of flutter. Is it possible that it's just not up to the job? As a final test I'm going to plumb it back at the softest setting and go for a drive. If there is no flutter at all I'll know the blow off noise is somewhat like flutter but not flutter itself.... if that makes sense
  11. "We need to work through the release of the new Commodore next year and then we need to see how we can get a business case up for the new Monaro," Holden spokesman Jason Laird said. "It wasn't possible to engineer another coupe while developing the new Commodore", he said. "The organisation can only do so much at once." I'll assume otherwise till it's proven..
  12. Interesting indeed. Question - will it sound like a 8? (unlike the way LS1's sound from the factory when strapped into commies).
  13. My advice for the audio if you intend to compete in shows etc if you want to buy a system just give Marty from fhrxstudios.com a ring/email and tell him you have x to spend and you want to achieve y. A full body spray can be anything from a few grand to double that. If you intend to keep the car for 5-10 years I advise you getting a turbo manual or you will get bored. If you can drive ok now shifting isn't hard. If you weren't born a driver then fair enough stay with the slush stick
  14. Guess what guys there are 2 things goin for you- 1- BATMBL is a champ, and 2- This group buy has been plagued by dreamers. BATMBL has decided to a.) honour your group buy price b.) not wait for the others. As a result you guys will get yours sent out probably first thing next week. If anyone else wants to buy these as part of the group buy they should scroll up and pay BATMBL before then.. THIS INCLUDES PEOPLES ALREADY REGISTERED IN THIS GROUP BUY. No cash, no group buy, bad luck. I'm never organising a group buy every again unless money is up front the amount of timewasters is ridic. Thanks again BATMBL. Anyone wanting HID kits buy from BATMBL. Good vendor that's been around with SAU for ages and is a pleasure to deal with providing a great product at a great price.. What more could you want? JK and KICKIN when you get your kits let us know how it goes!
  15. Anyone have a31 cefiro manuals?
  16. Anyone hosting the r32 manuals? [edit: nevermind thanks Links]
  17. Gday champ. You won't need anywhere near that amount of money for a non turbo r33. If you import yourself you could probably get one for peanuts. If you want the stereo to be the pride and joy allow for about $10k for that. One 12" as someone said is plenty for bass but you'll have to think if you're going to SQ or SPL. That is sound quality or sound pressure level (loudness). If you're going for SQ you might prefer 2x8" or 2x10" which will give you better response and more SQ. If you're going for SPL you might just like 2x15" and reinforce your bootlid Either way there's a reason why for the cost of a single IDMAX driver you can buy 10 sony explod drivers of the same size. It's all about quality, so forget buying simply on size and rms - look at the overall quality. Subs that report 1000rms usually mean PMPO not WRMS and are probably closer to 300wrms. Just re-iterating if this is going to be a show only car you will need alot more than $1500 to do it up. If it's going to have street rep then it won't work because neons and massive kits in a non turbo skyline will be embarressing the 10th time you get smoked by a vvti echo. Good luck
  18. Yeah this is ridiculous. The update is people are time wasters. I'm really sorry to KICKIN and JK for having to put up with people who have nothing better to do then commit to something and pull out especially when it affects others. I've only had response from one person saying they're out. The other 2 aren't even polite enough to respond. There was another buyer who I believe was counted as part of this group buy so... it's first come first serve at this point in time. I'll keep you posted mate.
  19. The organisation can only do so much at once.. lol how hard is it to facelift a commodore? I find it funny a quote in the australian said something about a champion always bows out on their own ground or something. I found it funny .. good ol' marketing spin.
  20. What wrxhoon said. Having said that a GTR is quite a capable drag car, but whether it's a big block or a TT it's going to cost a lot of cash to get to 8's.
  21. "If you have access to irc" and you might like to mention the network/server
  22. Will you be moulding the front fenders? I'd love some vented fenders.
  23. That auction states the pictures are not the ones for the cefiro. I'm asking the seller if there is a discount on multiple items and also if he has a picture of the item installed and or for the a31. I've also asked this seller if they have any of the style that sit to the left of the air con, so it's more on the crashpad area and if they have a pic of it installed in the a31. http://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/77333080 If I can get them in a bunch who'd be interested? Money up front cos I'm not stuffing around again with waiting for people to pay.
  24. Ahh thanks GTST that makes sense!! Then it's too tight!! I thought "Oh no it's backfiring I'd better tighten it".. NO WONDER !! Yeah the single sound only happens when boosting hard.. Also I thought maybe it's a special BOV cos it sounded different at high and low boost heh heh how wrong I've been! The vacuum line is on it I'm not that silly Thanks for confirming what it's meant to sound like that's exactly what I needed to know! Thanks LANFOH I will do that! Although it moves when in neutral and revving it's not stuck but I will clean it out tonight anyway when I re-adjust it. Just a quick question. What should I clean it with? autosol shreds everything but I wouldn't use that because I don't imagine it's too good for the rubber (if it has any). Bit of damp rag be sufficient? Cos I'm just just trying to clean the buildup and not get it squeeky clean right?
  25. That's a great idea - lol I hadn't thought of that at all Whatta champ thanks! :uh-huh:
