  1. ok, AE86 drift meeting at Fuji Speedway. This was a great day. 3 D1 drivers in attendence meant a high level of drifting. My friend Tomo also took out a prize on the day
  2. not sure if I will post any pics of the GTST. as actually I'm trying to buy it. lol. but yeah, it's a nice car. has engine conversion, seam welded body etc etc etc. all the good gear.
  3. R35 GTR in DMG at a dealership. GTR accessories
  4. a serious sized car carrier leaving the docks at Kanda. a better view of the rear loading ramp.
  5. something very special. This is custom made for Prime, 4AG 20V crank shaft. It's the black one, the bottom one is HKS crank. This crank is one of the bits Tets' used in Yoshioka's D1 Hachi engine and it makes 357ps NO TURBO (some nos though). so yes, Tets knows how to build a motor. and Yoshioka won a round in the US. so of course Tets was very proud that he built the motor in that car. only 5 of these cranks were ever made, and I think 1 or 2 left only. a few more serious motors at prime.
  6. Prime Garage circuit/togue civic. awesome car.
  7. My head at prime garage. exhaust side. not yet done, but you can see the scribe line indicating how far out it will be taken. no knife edging on the exhaust side as it's a waste of time. just enlarge the port and remove the bumps and casting marks. Combustion chambers not finished yet either. when done it will have the squish pads removed from one side, and have new valve seats cut (the ones from nissan were no good, CC'd and cleaned up a bit. intake side. I think these pics speak for themselves. enlarged ports, knife edged, and the throats have been opened out quite a bit. my block awaiting assembley. (in the foreground, that's a 3.2L 2J behind it) some of my bits. some more of my engine parts (trust sump extension, tomei cam gears, tomei valve springs, nismo timing belt, tomei headgasket, tomei restrictor, tomei cams) - not all in the shot where the magic happens. more after lunch.
  8. ok, time to make with the pics: These pics are from a few days spent in Kyushu. The first few are the docks in f*kuoka (Kanda Port). I know not very exciting but some people will be interested I'm sure. This is my truck sitting on the docks at Kanda. A car carrying vessel at dock to be loaded. another car carrier being loaded at the same time.
  9. guys, it's only really funny to make fun of someones english speaking ability for about the first 5 or so pages. after that it gets less and less funny all the time. trust me on this.
  10. it's not like that I swear.
  11. I sneakily touched it. haven't washed my hand since. next time I'll break a piece off for you doof.
  12. I actually like BKC. he is a good addition to the forum, and challenges me ot understand google translator better every day. now I don't know for sure, but it is almost certainly 4 cam, and almost certainly 4 valve per cylinder (ie 24 valve).
  13. I think that's all I can manage for today kids. Uploading and linking photos is some boring, time consuming sh1t! should pick up on monday with Fuji drifting, and Tsukuba Time Attack. and some other non-car related pics too.
  14. I got one of these bad boys the other day. Tried it out with ridge racer 7 and it didn't do bugger all. also, now that I've gotten used to the light weight regular PS3 controller this DS3 seems a bit heavy. I will give it a crack on the GT demo later. surely it will work with that. I hope.
  15. This is the paddock area behind the pits. a nice line up of Zeds. All the press waiting for them to finally wheel out the new 08 R35 GT Car. Here is comes. This moment was one of the coolest things I've ever seen. A minute or so before the door opened we all just heard a big psssshhhht from the air jacks as it dropped down. Then a minute later we hear it start. then some quick reving. The sound was amazing. Then the door opens... It's out!! This is the moment that he turns straight for me and I realise I'm in the way. D'oh! some impatient revving sees us all quickly disperse. Finally we get to see what it can do on track. After 1 or so warm-up laps Satoshi really gives it the boot and starts putting in some quick ones. The sound is awesome. After maybe 5 or 6 laps he brings it in to rest on the main straight right in front of the main crowd in the grandstand. he emerges victorious! The crowd is going mental at this point. The crowd love Satoshi. He is one of the most successful nismo factory team drivers in Super GT. It's fitting that it's him who gets to debut the new car. Looks great from pretty much any angle. very impressive race car. It gets the Satoshi thumbs up Check out the pack of media around it! Now at this point things get weird. after a short speech about the new GTR. The crown goes nuts and starts chanting in perfect unison: "Nii-San......Nii-San". with almost military precicision. what made it so weird is that they were so spot on that in pause between chants you would have been able to hear a pin drop. It was surreal to be standing down on the pit straight looking up at the crowd chanting, and flag waving. They are all fiercely patriotic and brand loyal too. and this is it. my final image of nismo festival 2007. Generations of Nissan race cars, all lined up along the front straight, with a nice japanese winter sunset to cap it off.
  16. ok time for a lunch break. BBL.
  17. this was a fairly special Z parked out in the paddock. 350Z RS. apparently has a 3.8l engine. nice. A pair of super tough looking Z GT cars. Some old school cool. Genuine Nismo GTR 400R. not bad at all. and of course it wouldn't be a nismo show without a Z-tune. God I love it. and of course this car need no introduction whatsoever. very nice indeed. Mines had a Z there too which looked pretty cool. Check out the size of this clutch. It's an AP forumla 1 clutch. Carbon fibre, quad plate. a measly 4 or 5 inches in diameter and it weighed practically nothing. he said it was 15 years old and cost nearly 1 million yen to make. he said I could but if quite cheaply if I wanted to. To the left of pic they are selling Titanium Group A GTR brake pistons. $100 each. Carbon fibre brake disk for Group A GTRs. AP made these for the group a GTRs, but then carbon disks were outlawed so they couldn't use them. d'oh! He offered to sell me it too. lol. it weighs nothing. very cool.
  18. This car was palked in a closed pit garage right at the start of pit straight. It belongs to the chief designer of the R35 GTR. Looks nice in red, but the paint quality is terrible. lots of peel etc. the few other GTRs I looked at were the same too which is a bit dissapointing. Nice number plate though Check out was was in a cage next to it! with a cover on that was ever so tantalising slighty askew. After I took these photos a nismo staff member hurried us out, then set a permanent guard up at the cage! lol. Now to the stuff that was up for grabs. there was lots of bits from nismo GT cars. Guards going out the door from about $150. Bonnets for between $300 and $600. Wheels from about $150 to $250+, bumpers from about $100 up, even windscreens etc. If I had a truck I probably would have bought the lot.
  19. wangan midnight is spoken for by boyracer.
  20. in fact I just remembered pretty sure my nismo catalogue lists the factory lengths too. about 40mm or so from memory. F and R are different too, so watch that one.
  21. Item: 2 X PS3 BD Games Age: New Condition: New Price: various Location: Sydney Contact: me, by PM Comments: see below. Hi guys, selling 2 PS3 games. Both bought brand new by me, last week. They are both Japanese market games which means part of the box is in japanese, and in COD3 it has japanese subtitles in the cut scenes (voices are all in english) and japanese menu's. Wangan Midnight has all english menus, but has some japanese options and the cut scenes are in japanese. There isn't really any problem with playing them, a couple of things take a bit of googling, or just figuring out but it doesn't really bother me. Both are brand new, I opened them and put them in my PS3 to confirm that even current games are region free (they are). Wangan Midnight is really cool. You get to drive cool modified japanese cars (that even sound cool) around tokyo freeways. and it's really accurate. I can recognise route 2, route 3 and route 4 on the C1 ring. pretty neat. Asking $85 for this inc free postage. Call of Duty 3 is a typical war type game. Never played it, so not really sure what it's like but I've heard it's very good. Asking $65 for this inc postage. pics:
  22. lol, mebe. it's 13" wide! I want to buy 3 more then use them.
  23. not sure, but nismo sell longer ones. either 50mm or 60mm. they are not too badly priced and makes things easy
  24. lol! don't worry.tomorrow plenty more. I'm only just about half way through the nismo festival pics, and I only upload about 1 in 10! otherwise it would take me forever.
