  1. repost-o. check the "why is the car cheaper in the US thread".
  2. put me down for 2. please enscribe one with "longest penis in australia". and the other with "1st place, 400m hurdles, Sydney 2000". thx.
  3. you suck fatz. your mamma can drive a stick better than that. trust me i know.
  4. yep, they will work on any PS3. I have tested them on aussie PAL PS3 and it works no problem. COD3 now $60 delivered. WM is sold.
  5. the only thing I don't like about the new GTR is the quality (well lack of) of the paint jobs. I've probably looked at about a dozen of them now and they all had pretty ordinary paint jobs. it was especially evident on the red ones I've seen as the lack of metallic in the pain meant the orange peel was plain to see. I guess that's why they have a $3,000 option to have your car painted by hand, presumably sans orange peel.
  6. I couldn't care less that it goes to america. good for them. we can still buy them if we want so what's the big deal? It may mean more and longer lasting aftermarket support worldwide for all of us. and yes, the aussie pronunciation of "nisan" (the "i" as in "kid") is wrong. it's "nee sun". just like Garage Saurus is not Garage Sawrus. It's pronounced Zaurus. but meh. I still mostly say nisan, and I still mostly say sawrus. what are you going to do?
  7. thanks guys. it's nice to be appreciated.
  8. very nice times. I was very impressed with the launch control when it was relayed to me a few weeks ago, good to see someone putting it to good use! that is crazy fast for a standard car.
  9. can't you just stick your credit card number on the dealie and send it in? fax it.
  10. motul Chrono 300V is the go for sure. RB26 is not cheap to replace.
  11. yeah agree. add no window replacement to street class, and must retain standard door trims. so yes let's make it current rego required. also agree within the two classes you need RWD and AWD. and personally I'm not too hung up either. Don't think I will be giving anyone a fright either in street class or outright. lol.
  12. street class, bonnet free front bumper free all other body panels must be metal (no carbon doors etc allowed) roll cage free suspension must use standard pick-up points, but adjustable arms, aftermarket dampers etc are allowed car must run ABS if fitted with ABS as standard drivers seat is free must have either standard passenger seat or an approved type (ie no home made alluminium 2kg seats) brakes are free engine must be same type as from the factory (intake, turbo, exhaust, ecu etc are free) car must ran approved semi slick tyres (and maybe consider restricting size for each model like in CT and IP, only a bit more generous than their sizes) maybe consider making it that car must have current road registration. but I'm not 100% sold on that.
  13. how did Neil go in his buzz machine?
  14. farken! 2:16 is fairly bloody hauling for a sprint day. bloody porsches.
  15. measure the inner diameter of your rims. I have a few sets of 17 here I can measure, and the variance is surprising.
  16. just make sure you get an inner repair that is vulvanised too. any tyre place can and will do it for about $30.
  17. I think you may be out of luck. I seem to remember they were going to take down the GT5 demo before the prologue release
  18. smart man for switching it off straight away. I know how tempting it would be to fire it up again just to 'see' what it's like. but sending it to the mechanic is the way to go.
  19. you are getting mixed up. there is the GT HD demo (free). then there is the GT5 demo (free). Now just released is the GT5 prologue (costs money). Soon will be GT5 (costs money).
  20. prologue funnily enough is what is says. a prologue... anyway, who has it, and what do you think?
  21. yep that's the plan. like the tatoo on my left butt cheek reads: "1 bar boost is for women and children". I will be running 1.5bar+ with this set-up.
  22. pm me your email address and I will send you a bigger one.
  23. it's the other way 'round. no squish pad = no detonation problem (at a small cost of response). the 26 head is a tad detonation prone. the squish pads aid response (NFI how though). removing them costs some response, but enables more boost and more punishment before detonation occurs. any serious race head I have seen in aus and japan has them removed on both sides. being the half arse racer I am mine will just have one side removed as I didn't want to pay out too much response.
  24. ok, that may be all I can muster for today. Tomorrow we move on to Tsukuba Time Attack, some pics from around Tokyo, and Garage Saurus.
  25. This is part of the original fuji speedway circuit. the 30 degree banking. It's hard to capture on film just how steep it is. you can barely climb up it. and spectators used to watch from the top. many people were killed. but damn it would have been awesome to race on. my mate Tomo giving some passenger laps at the end of the day.
