  1. current trip has come to an end. at the gate right now very hard to leave japan as always
  2. I think fatz, roy and i could be very competetive in that class.
  3. start price is not too unreasonable. premium is about 8.4m from memory. plus of course 5% tax, rego etc. 12m however is a bit rich!
  4. well mine are working very nicely keeping heat from the bottom of the box they are in from getting to the top, but as to how they work in car I have NFI as I haven't had a chance to use them yet
  5. i tend to agree. the ikeya stuff doesn't really blow me away quality wise. the cusco arms i have are much nicer then the ikeya once i have. cusco ones have bigger rose joints, better (3 piece, stainless, thick shell) rose joints and just seem nicer quality. but cusco don't make 32 GTR traction rods so i used ikeya for those. don't get me wrong, i wouldn't say they are crap, but they are not amazing either.
  6. through a friend in japan. i can give you the part numbers when i'm back in syd, but if that still doesn't help i don't mind ordering for you.
  7. yeah I'm off the DBA wagon that's for sure.
  8. I should also add that he is insanely good looking. has had me question my sexuality once or twice. so definitely buy your gear from jesse over nengun "machimasu o-kudasai" performance.
  9. thanks mate, puts my mind at ease
  10. that first vid you posted up was a great lap. I watched the car from various places and could not really offer any criticism. also I learned an interesting tidbit today. Garage saurus (who won the rev speed event in 2004) tell me that for Tsukuba circuit they run their yellow GTR in full time AWD interesting indeed. love your work mark and russ.
  11. on the way to saurus right now.
  12. ah san ni sukyrine ganador cahbon mihro onegaishimasu. but as laurence suggested either pics, or get the catalogue and point will be your best bet if you have zero japanese.
  13. it looked and sounded great on the circuit. very stable, not much roll at all, so if you just saw it humming around a circuit you would not know how heavy it is. looked very sharp on change of direction under the dunlop bridge too. maj, flappy paddle looks and sounds awesome. superfast shifts with just a mili second of rev cut as it bangs up through the box. i think the DSG will be awesome. a friend in japan has driven one and he loved it.
  14. anyone know if the AAT at glebe got hit? i have a car on the docks. god i hope it's not farked. what about chatswood? anything go down there? sorry for all the guys with hail damaged skylines. such a bitch of a thing to repair
  15. lol, yes have some pics of the SS works GTI, no can't buy 5 GT Z bonnets for all those that want one. and I will be back in aus late this week. think I will head out to Saurus today and then do Tsukigi fish market tomorrow morning.
  16. yeah sorry I never really thought of you in the new parts light. but yes everything jesse says is true. he has good service, knows what he's talking about and has always been good to deal with. so i wouldn't hesitate to recommend using him to buy parts for you.
  17. ok last night I did something new. had a big steak in japan. cost 20,000 yen which is about $200 and it doesn't come with any sides, they are extra at about 1,000 each! but my god it was orgasmic. then got hammered with some japanese friends on plum wine they made. dont know if i'd really call it wine though. one was absynth, rum, vodka and something else. one was just a whole bottle of gin with the plums and sugar added. some more pics shortly.
  18. This is a very funny sticker. Tomonori's friend made it for him. and it was so funny because on wednesday he was wearing red sandals like in the pic, wearing camo overalls like in the pic, wearing his helmet just like the pic, and even his car looks the same. it's like a cartoon come to life! when a car broke down they all stopped to help. There was even someone drifting a V35 Coupe! I think maybe his drift car broke and he borrowed daddy's.
  19. some pics from the drift event at Fuji Speedway. with 3 D1 drivers there it was pretty good. This car belongs to the owner of run free. he drifts the JIC RX8 in D1, but this is his personal car. very nice too. one last one before I crash. when they were drifing as a team it was an awesome sight to see 5 or 6 cars all drifting withing feet of each other.
  20. The car is built by Top Secret. it's unique in that only one tuning shop has worked on it. pretty cool. they even had the robson leather interior done for the old owner. It's packing a HKS 2.8l kit, with Top secret headwork and top secret V-cam, with T04Z running up to nearly 2 bar boost. Brembo F50s, aragosta suspension, volk progressive spoke 19s, one off titanium top secret exhaust and screamer, hks f con v pro and lots of other goodies. it was featured in HPI when it was owned by another mate Dave. he is upgrading (if that's possible!?!?!?!) and sold it to a friend.
  21. you can see what he's thinking: "if that white crazy man falls out of the window at this speed his over-size head is going to dent my GTR"
  22. up close with Mines president giving the new GTR a bootful on the freeway.
  23. haha, want me to update your sig for you? "selling 1997 GTR.....and 1 wife. and 1 child, also one used soul. will consider exchange plus damnation for 1 R35 GTR." I don't have any of the GTR on vid as I was keen to get some nice stills and carrying the SLR, and 2 lenses, and batterys AND the handy cam is a bit much. got some nice vid from a drift day though, which includes 3 D1 drivers and some in-car from my friends car if only I knew how to steer a PC it would be on youtube by now surely!
