yeah you can probably get a taxi there, but if you don't have a reasonable idea of where it is, and some japanese skills it will be pretty hard. getting a taxi back home will be harder still. it's just a freeway rest stop. no one except foreigners wanting to see cars would go there unless they are in there own car. just convincing the taxi driver you really want to go there will be hard i reckon.

My Budget Rb26 Refresh Plan.
Beer Baron replied to Charles W.'s topic in Forced Induction Performance
$700 USD it quite expensive for stock pistons. I would have thought more like $400-$500 USD. -

yeah, light intermittent showers wont call it off, but if it's raining heavily with no sign of clearing and standing water on the track they will call it off. -
damn, sorry to hear that.

yeah I just got the call a few mins ago, but didn't want to post anything. thought I would leave it up to duncan, but it's out there anyway I guess. sad news indeed. but very pleased they are both ok, so they can come back and tell us all about it over a beer.

How Do I Fix A Dead Flash Card?
Beer Baron replied to (B1) MR_fanny's topic in PC & Games Discussion
if you don't want the data on it really badly then just chuck it in the bin. data recovery costs around $80 and is not guarenteed to work. if it doesn't work they wont refund you, but they will give you a credit for next time. I've had a 1gb card fail and I didn't give a crap about the card but I wanted the pics that were on it (I hadn't downloaded them when it failed). A new sandisk 1gb card is well under $50 so I would just buy a new one. -
Fitting 34 Brembos To A 32 Gtr
Beer Baron replied to Beer Baron's topic in Suspension, braking and tyres
yep, that's what I meant. i guess it would want to be to take advantage of the larger diamter rotor. -
yeah I think I lost a lot of interest in champ car when half the teams broke away to form IRL. shame that they divided such a cool series.
-
yes they are street legal.

Fitting 34 Brembos To A 32 Gtr
Beer Baron replied to Beer Baron's topic in Suspension, braking and tyres
djr81, the brembo pad is the same length as the sumitomo but it's quite a bit wider. maybe 15mm or so. -
How Do You Get A Wire From Engine Bay Into Cabin
Beer Baron replied to limpus's topic in Forced Induction Performance
drivers side is much easier in my experience. -
i use the Greddy belt on my RB26. the gates belts may be ok, but if the noise is all set-up then why do you never hear of anyone with a hks, greddy, nissan, nismo belt complaining. it's awfully coincidental that so many people have problems with the gates belts but no other brand.

lovely time piece you have there. after all they do say: "man who walk through airport door sideways is going to bangkok....

Fitting 34 Brembos To A 32 Gtr
Beer Baron replied to Beer Baron's topic in Suspension, braking and tyres
yeah, I'll whip one of the pads out tonight and do a little comparo. it's not a massive size difference, but it looks bigger to me. god I hope there is some advantage as they are not that cheap! i'll cling to the faint notion of a stiffer caliper. -
Fitting 34 Brembos To A 32 Gtr
Beer Baron replied to Beer Baron's topic in Suspension, braking and tyres
as for you ronin... don't poke fun at my gold brakes. at least they are factory painted unlike all the cool people who paint their sumitomos gold to make slow witted people think they have brembos... eug, yeah your black stockies look ok, but I don't like the finish on them (which is why I wont re-paint the brembos). It just doesn't look quite right to me. -
Fitting 34 Brembos To A 32 Gtr
Beer Baron replied to Beer Baron's topic in Suspension, braking and tyres
yeah also missing rotors, lines, pads... no, I have everything. I just didn't take pics of it all.. there are no shims in the rear calipers as there are no pads in there. -
it works well on good condition boxes too.

what are you talking about mines computer? lol. why would impul buy a mines computer and re map it? It's a standard nissan computer re-programed by impul. if you are referring to the painted over sticker, that says "nissan re-manufactured ecu" or similar. lol. mines. personally I think anything over about $100 is too much to pay, unless you know exactly what it was tuned for, in which case $300 would be ok. but you are far better off just buying a pfc or similar.

bring me a 6 pack for after. lol. Car should be going nicely. and If I really pull my finger out I'll be able to fit my 34 GTR brembos in time. but I think I might just run my current set-up for this day. -
yes they are comparable.
