interesting topic, the bearing went on my old alternator (rb25det) so i replaced it with a new one from crista australia (they dun exist anymore) anyhow i relised as i was checking the alternators do get hot pretty quickly, i just thought this was natural. as it goes for the nut that is a different problem, which nut ar eu talking about the one on the alternator itslf or the one that tightens the belts? cheers hame
