  1. Need one asap. let me know
  2. Probably better off advertising interstate, as they have power/weight rules for P-platers More potential buyers over there...
  3. I had the same problem in myt gf's car. Hard to start, but it ran fine, and normal to drive. Engine temp stayed fine while it had water in there. It was still the headgasket though. Water stains around the head wont be there, as its probably a leak internally.
  4. I have the same problem (see down a few topics) Ive narrowed it down to either - radiator cap, or a tiny leak somewhere. replace the cap, then get a pressure leak test done at a radiator place. See if they work, then report back
  5. Sounds like you are losing compression in one of the cylinders due to it overheating. Id hate to say it, but sounds like you done a headgasket. Fill the radiator up, and start the car with teh cap off. Get someone to rev the car. If it bubbles the coolant, its the blown headgasket. Also check if theres white smoke coming out the exhaust.
  6. Ive got GTR gaurds here, and will be getting the car resprayed soon. I know they are a bolt on replacement on my gtst. What im wanting to know is will there be any dramas with the type m side skirts fitting with the GTR front 1/4 panels? Is it a straight fit for the side skirts as well? Im sure i read that the GTR side skirts are a bit slimmer because of the width of the GTR panels. Anyone who has done it could they please confirm any fitting dramas they had? Also anyone with comments about selling my car and buying a GTR can go start your own thread to winge there. Ive searched, here and sdu, it can be done, just no-ones mentioned the side skirts. thanks fer yer time.
  7. Tamiya make a heap of em. Ive got a thread in the SA section of one i scored for me B/day
  8. have a look at my group buy in my sig to see what pinapples do. Ask if theres any q's.
  9. Ive got a highflow rb20 turbo on my car now. Im going to be looking at pulling it off soon to get something larger. Its had about 10k kms on it, and it cost $1200 to highflow. It has larger steel wheels, and has been machined out to fit. Ive been told its sort of like a t3/t4 hybrid (but its still a rb20 highflow) It makes similar power to a hks2530 i think, and has the same response as the std turbo has. Im looking to sell it for around $950 (ono) so if your interested, let me know and we could work something out. Pics below show turbo when i fitted it to my new motor. It runs fine, and has no shaft movement.
  10. That sounds cool savage, definitly post pics. I probably couldnt justify spending $300 on a model though, id have to spend it on my lifesize scale one instead Cool that u scored it as a present though
  11. the avcr is just the pfc boost control kit + the rice blue screen. Its the same damn controller.
  12. Ive got series 5 injectors, and they fit just by sanding the lug as Sky30 has said. They are almost a straight fit besides the lug.
  13. Thanks buddy No this will be put together asap. I can do all the work myself with this one, and not be tempted to upgrade parts along the way
  14. The model as you see it is about $34 If you dont have the paint, it becomes expensive, as it uses 18 different colours. I only had to buy a few colours as ive done previous models in the past, and the more kits u buy later, the less paint u need to buy.
  15. The body of the car measures about 19.5 cm long unassembled. Its 1:24 scale too
  16. I bought mine from Hobby Habit on Main Nth Road. They have a large range of others (which ive got my eye on) including 33gtr's, Pennzoil Nizmo, Calsonic, 34's, 180's, gtst 33's, silvias (s13/s15). The damn paint costs about the same as the model was to buy, but if you have built some in the past it works out u only need a few colours at a time. Go to the tamiya website to see the full catalogue. Oh yer, Hobby Habbit have one i saw im getting next - The Homer (includes a small homer)
  17. they buy u what u want *big hugs to the other half* Inside the box - Parts laid out - the body (fresh out the box unpainted still)- close up of parts - the instructions - I bought some paints i didnt have so i can paint it soon (ive done models in the past). The detail is pretty good, it has a full interior (dash etc.) and rubber wheels etc...i can paint it my choice of colour, but im going for the metallic black. i'll post pics of the build.
  18. Where's Kym these days??
  19. I was referring to the wiring plugs, but yes all u need to do is chop that little lug off (not a huge mod at all) and they drop straight in.
