  1. replying to that on an open forum would enable millions of idiots to steal cars
  2. show me where u can do over 230km/h and i'll show u where u can buy em
  3. ring today tonight. Isnt that what these 4 brothers did when they got ripped off??
  4. well break it down... Say $750 for the head $200 for a vrs kit - includes all top end gaskets $50 oil $20 coolant So thats $1020 and hes driving a 2.5lt vs a 2 litre. Seeing as you have a 3lt also u know the added benefits off boost torque makes. Im still running my 3lt on a rb20 turbo thats been highflowed, so from my perspective id rather have a 2lt turbo on a 2.5lt motor, than a 2lt turbo on a 3lt motor. It all comes down to what he wants to do with the car...if he gets the power itch later hes already got a 2.5lt motor in....or the 3lt route which is a different story...
  5. At the end of the day its up to him. I suggested just buying a r32 rb25de head and slapping it on the free rb25det bottom end he is getting, bolting it all in and hes only spent for the head. He wont need to worry about getting a complete rb25det as its what he will have. Torque kills gearboxes, so he wont have to worry about it, unless he plans to go over say 250rwkw anyway. If he does decide to go past that he will require all the mods others require to get past that power level anyway, like pfc, inj, afm etc.... Cheapest option for him is just to buy the rb25de head and bolt it all in and have a 2.5Lt r32. Its the same as buying a complete rb25det and dropping it in without farking around with looms etc, as there is no vvt to worry about. We are all in agreement that anything other than a rb20 head on the rb20 block is a waste.... As for the 3lt it will require more mods than dropping in the 25 i suggested...
  6. sorry i should have made myself more clear to start with. - first post edited to reflect I was referring him to use the rb25de head on the free rb25det bottom end that he was getting. In no way would i suggest to someone to put the 20 head on the 25/26/30 bottom end.
  7. Thats a bit harsh. If he has the time, and money whats the harm in asking q's about it? thats what the forum is for. You use the ecu to suit the sensors u are using. I suggested the r32 rb25de head as it has the same size valves as the r33 rb25det head, but minus the vvt, so you can keep the rb20 loom and sensors. If you want to chip the r32 stock ecu, just stay away from 550cc injectors as they have idle issues on remaps. Or go for a pfc. Really you are only up for the head (~$750) then tuning. If you want to push it further then u are up for the usual items everyone needs at higher power levels. A rb25 in a r32 is a great swap.

can you vouch for anyone who wants to join, under any circumstances, or other people here now?
  9. hey elliot, got the cable, thanks mate. Wondering if you have the drivers side a-pillar trim? Im taking out a gauge holder and want one thats free from mounting holes etc... Let me know if u got one, what condition its in, and how much. Thanks.
  10. I think this is a common problem with cd players, unless its a newer type stacker with a gel centre which stops the skipping on rough surfaces. Saying that i had a pioneer (last model) which was excellent when it came to bumps. If its a headunit cd player not much you can do, apart from maybe try to mount it with some rubber sandwiched between it and the bracket mounts to absorb the knocks...?
  11. nice Im almost finishing my 32 gtr shown on pg 1 soon and was looking around the net for some painting tips and came across this site: http://ipmsstockholm.org/magazine/2002/03/...h_car_paint.htm may or may not be useful to some. I need to find a kit for when i finsh this one now....

Im with Chris. If you want to be in a club that bad Kikuchi, join another club like SVD first and see what goes on. Not being a prick, just thought u might like to see what actually goes on... Just seems weird that someone who doesnt own a car yet,(no-offence), and joined less than a month ago wants to start a major reshuffle of the sau section. More to the point show me 1 other reason that a sau club should be formed (cams doesnt count - if you want it that bad, clubs already exist like svd i think which has cams affiliation). Its more like lets just form a club to say that u are part of one. Despite having been told by a few long timers (who have seen many come and go) its really not worth the effort. People here like the way things go now, without any pressure to turn up on cruises, or dyno days as mentioned. No offence directed at anyone, just i see it the way chris does.
  13. easiest solution is buy a r32 rb25de head, buy a headgasket to get 8:5 - 9:1 compression. Bolt it - to the rb25det bottom end- and use all the rb20 sensors, and loom, then u are away. Dont bother with the rb24 (rb20 with rb26 crank + 4agze pistons). If you want to spend more just fit the 26 crank + rods + pistons to the 25 setup for a 2.6lt...

So what happens if you form this club of sau sa, but theres long time members (been here for years) who dont wish to join? Itd be a split sa section...
  15. Engine builders prefer to use different parts as Cubes has said. I have the same setup as Cubes, and we use wiseco's - no probs. Our engine builder also lauged at people who build their new engine then sit in the shed and let it run to do the run in. Personal preference as to what works.
  16. do a search, this was asked less than a month ago.
  17. how do the factory xr6's ones look?
  18. yer im after a Nismo steering wheel fer me r32 too, but havent seen many. Id only buy a Momo or Nardi if i drove an alfa....
  19. thanks fer that, but unfortunatly my bearings are gooone as well. So it means a all out job for me. I'll be getting the clutch done too anyway, as i dont fancy doing it down the track
  20. never had a proper tune done really. First time it went in the cas was farked, so it only made 208@1bar, then went back and had a fiddle it made 218 @ 1.1 bar. The coil packs are gone now (were on the way out before) and the highflow wont get a proper exhaust (cos im going to wait fer the bigger turbo)....but yer it could do the same as yours did @ 240 easy if i wanted to fark with the setup.
  21. any ebc will spike. Depends on the guy tuning it... Ive got an avcr and Shaun tunes it to hold 16psi flat line...
  22. yer looks similar to mine, but maybe a 25 highflow. Hub dyno....but still?
  23. well it shoudnt matter too much if you have a new turbo to go on. Would be nice to know for sure what went wrong with the vg30. Whats the new turbo specs? Do i smell.....
