  1. need a close up pic of the key hole on the side to tell what it is. It hasnt got a cw attached either, so u can either fit the r32 diff ratio, or buy the 3.9 gear and swap it in at the same time. Looks like it has new side bearings too...

  3. I'tll only step out if you want it to ie dont pop the clutch on a down change. If you are braking hard, push the clutch in and hold it (like u normally do) Ive had to do an emergency brake before (some moron pulled across infront of me, then stopped) and i clutched it and braked at the same time. It stopped like a normal car would. People seem to worry too much with these diffs....
  4. Who cares if its a fake gtr, its got more than 1 reason for it. 1. Bonnet - i bought mine for $400 in perfect nick. it came with new latch mech. It weighs less than 10kg so a weight saving for the gtst. 2. grille - well about $150 second hand 3. front 1/4 panels - also made of aluminium so another weight saving there. 4. gtr indicators are required 5. rear wing - dime a dozen on the forum sale section. 6. u WILL need gtr side skirts as they are completely different. 7. rear pods are the same. 8. he never said he wants to badge it a gtr, so dont judge anyone. The 32 gtr has the best factory body kit imo. Im currently putting together the stuff to put the front end on myself. I dont pretend my car is a gtr, nor do i bag anyone for what they want their car to look like. At the end of the day its his car, and he can have it look the way he wants. Dont flame the guy, help him. Its what these forums are for, but most people forget....

(if unsure pm me and i can tell u on which list u are on) I did say about this happeneing in my first post though of the gb. Sorry i shouldve said what was going on with the orders again to make it clearer.

  7. sent u a pm mate To everyone else wondering about closing dates what happens is i need 5 people minimum to get the low price from Noltec. Once over 5 i can still get the same low price. What has happened is i have enough people to place 2 separate orders through. Im taking the 5 guys who got in first and ordering their stuff now, and the last 5 guys who payed me (or im waiting for) will have to wait for that separate lot to be payed in full to get their group order of 5 placed. It shouldnt take too long for their order to be paid anyway. Thanks everyone so far.
  8. from memory 4kg, 7kg, and 12kg preload (ie soft medium and hard) Mine uses (in r32 gtst) stock everything. It should come with new stub axle bearings too in a new kit? Im not sure but mine was a complete overhaul done. Only thing is i want a ratio change now so im swapping to a 3.9 r200 shortnose crownwheel and pinion

  12. getting a 2 way might not be that bad. U might have scored a Pro LSD which u can adjust the preload on it....which is the same diff i have

  15. no probs then longer gears for me. With petrol prices the way they are and the long trips i do, the lower the rpm at 60 and 100km/h the better

  17. yes, but its 2k for rims and tyres when a diff change will cost $500 odd... (ontop of 10k+ spent on other mods )
  18. There are some really nice ones already here in aus. Ranging from 20ish to 32 ish the more you spend the more you get. Ask yourself if your prepared to spend some on bs as when a car would come over id say heaps could be wrong with it. If i were going for a gtr, id look for one here in SA (try the forums) as i could look it over, and see if it had a service history. Ie buy a car someones weeded out all the problems a 10+ yo car could have and fixed already. Nice other car too...go the torrie Try J-spec on here...have heard nothing but good stuff
  19. yer i bought my diff as a whole pumpkin complete swap over. Havent got a ratio set yet. People seem to want to sell the diff complete, so may end up going to a local wrecker. If you are just changing the centres, i think they recommend changing the sideshaft bearings at the same time. If you can, take your diff out, then try a 4wd shop to do the centre swap as they can setup backlash etc...
  20. Who's flaming who? I wasnt referring to you, it was a general comment.... I drive an import and have never been a target. Ive been followed numerous times, and had my car looked over quite a few times and never had a defect. It comes down to driver...
  21. As title states, has anyone tried to fit a r33 aircon unit to the r32? I assume u may have to rewire the plug, but are the units roughly the same size as well, and more importantly would it work? Just wondering is all....

  23. shaun put an 044 in mine no probs. Ive run it almost dry too without problem.
