Could you imagine Skafie in the F1, if you swapped Skafie and Ralf at the last race, you'd have Mark waiting at Coca-cola for a whole lap so he could give Heidfeld the one fingered salute...

Hmmm, I still wonder how Mr Alesi would go in a brawl... Sicilian Frenchy.... Hmmmm....

Getting A Athlon 64 X2 Dual-core 4200+ Reve6(socket 939)
Marco-R34GTT replied to Slowpoke's topic in WA Wasteland
Don't go socket 939... They (AMD) are phasing them out of production, some motherboards and chips aren't even available anymore... Go with Socket AM2, I've just bought a computer from Austins and the chip and mobo combination were about $500 more or less... Pentium is expensive though, but even quick AMD stuff is rather cheap, even on the new socket... -
Speaking of fights... Schu Snr v Prost "Battle of the Professors". Alesi v Hamilton "Battle of the late-brakers". Verstappen v Albers "Battle of the Dykey Dutch fellows". Irvine v Kimi "Battle of the pissheads". Yeah, I must say I respect Wurz, I'm soo pissed that is has been 7 years since he has been on the grid! And 10 YEARS since his debut when he stepped in Berger in 97... Poor Fisi though... He has had such a topsy turvy career.... Nearly there but never quite there, smooth driving style, but too inconsistent and easily left hanging to dry...

Good race for Webber... In the interview Massa complained that he had vibration in his last set of tires... I don't know whether this is true though, but he has to learn to drive on a wet track if he is gonna get anywhere in his career... It is a shame that Ferrari is no longer the car to beat in the wet, I used to get sooo excited when the rain would come down... Ferrari just seemed to work very very well in wet conditions... Since 2005 this has generally not been the case...

Musashi... San... Need I say anymore.. One of my mates insisted on 'Phalanx'... Too bad I'm not Greek...

Thats is exactly what I was thinking looking through those images... Pure, erotic, unadulterated Skyline porn... Ok... Maybe I'm going a bit far now... Still, between the wheels, front lips, air dams, rear spoilers, wide body kits and rear bars. Not to mention the custom paint jobs and the carbon body parts.... Damn, it is like I died and went to Skyline heaven.... :ninja: To think I spent a year driving a VL, and now an R34... How did I ever live without my R34!!

I do not blame government for the 'hooning' that occurs in a direct sense. However, I believe the goverment's choice of enforcement, management and resolution have much to do with the amount that occurs, and the frequency.. Also, the average Australian's view of cars and speed causes and detrimental rift between enthusiasts and (A to B) road users... In my view, if we viewed and enforced speed like the Germans do, and likewise viewed and enforced modification like the Japanese do, then Australia would be a driver's heaven... You don't even need to get started on skid-pads, drag strips and tracks... Our roads are shitty enough! We should have super-highways like the German auto-bahnen... Can't handle 200km/ph?? Stick in the first two left lanes, and let the rest cruise past at will...

Not the same since Arrows & Jos the boss dissapeared... or Schumi... btw, when did the backmarker rule come in... It has been a part of the sport for as long as I can remember watching F1..

Thats what they call the ACA/TT syndrome...

Join Me For Birthday Drinks On Friday The 13th!

So how was the bash lads? -
Yeah, my mum came racing into the dining room this evening.. "Mark Mark look! Skylines have been caught hooning!!" my reply: "Great, just what I f**king need, more attention by the boys and blue, and people giving me sideways looks because of what I f**king drive...." Just kept eating my roast... The media always screws car enthusiasts and I really couldn't be buggered tonight... Mind you, I got caught for hoon laws last year, so call me a hypocrite, but at least I had the consideration TO DO IT IN A FREAKING VL COMMODORE!!!!

Note how the 260Z held its own!?! I think with the new VQ35HR, 230KW flywheel, the 350Z would pip an R33 GTST, an R34 GTT however... It would be a bit closer I think....

Alistair and Autoworks reckons XForce are a great option for the R34... Still contemplating though.... Just out of curiosity, since this is a performance thread... Can anyone shed light on intake manifold/plenum options for the R34, I've heard there are a heap of options for the R33, but the R34's are rather limited, aside from custom jobs, what is around???
-
There were some shocking Japanese drivers throughout the 90's... Nakajima... Katayama (Truth be told though, you need courage to drive with a tumour on your spine though).. Shinji Nakano... Tora Takagi.... I wasn't around at the time though, I've just come from a family that love motorsport... The number of times I've seen that clip of Alesi harrying Senna I couldn't tell you... Typical 'tifosi' I am, but I still love F1 as a sport, but I'm having trouble getting over Schumacher... I'm getting withdrawal symptoms without constant exposure to that chin/jaw...

Can't wait to get my hands on a R34 GTR and show the world that RB is still king of the hill... Except you still need the OS Giken 3.0ltr stroker kit!!!
-
Made to fit both RB25's and RB26's???
-
I'm quite proud of being a brutal pragmatist... A tree if a tree and a rock is a rock.... No need to mince words... Btw, what happened to Tyrrell? I was probably not around... Does it involve Harvey Postlewaithe (sp?) and the late 80's design... The car Jean Alesi drove at the Phoenix GP with that revolutionary front nose/wing??
-
According to BBC and F1live... US GP has been axed, effective from 2008 onward.... Bernie... What a bastard.... Lets have 2 Spanish GP's because everyone has an Alonso fetish and let us completely f**k off Hockenheim, Imola, A1 Ring and Indi and let us go to bum f**k places like Singapore, India, Dubai and Russia that no one really gives a shit about....

Quote Paul: "Why on Earth would you want to keep that piece of shit civic... I mean really mate..." Said it to my friend.... All class.. It is official, Alistair's old Ceffy was 100x better than my mate's civic... oi, cheers for the R34 manual Alistair! Good luck aye! I'll have to pop around to pass my gratitude and best wishes on to Paul...

Hmmmm, fabled 1988 Judd powered March.... Newey's first design... And what a beauty to boot!
-
Montoya and Frenzen at Williams... Button and Villenueve teamates at Honda again... Felipe and Rubens at Ferrari to make a very barstardised 'Italian' superteam! Montoya gets Champcar engine though... M Schu and R Kubica sharing at BMW... Germany v Poland showdown!! Yoong, Karthikeian, Mazzacane and 'Tora Tora' Takagi all have to share one 2-seater F1 car... Hamilton in 2002 Minardi for sure, but with 1988 1000BHP Honda Engine.... With Webber and Irvine in 2002 Jags... Maybe Johnny Herbert for a comeback in the old 1999 Stewart Ford?? Even better, BRING BACK LATE BREAKING JEAN ALESI in the 2003 Jordan! "LEARN THE 101 ON HOW TO BEGIN BREAKING 'AFTER' YES! 'AFTER' THE APEX AND STILL MANAGE TO KEEP ON TRACK!"
-
Can't forget the "Supertech Orange Chello Arrows", in 2000 with Verstappen and De La Rosa at the wheel.... 2nd favourite team back in the day.... Sad day when arrows closed its doors...
-
Hopefully Verstappen gets the Spyker seat!! W00T! Go Jos!

I still think that the F2002 was a very dominant, very fast, ultra reliable, yet very pretty car, when compared to its contemporaries... Like to see how this legal action goes down... What would the FIA do to penalise the McBoys if found guilty of theft or conspiring to steal intellectual property???
